I'm the type of person who remembers every meal I have within at least the last year. I was here like two months ago and I don't rlly remember much about this place. Which means it was really nothing special. Not horrible, but not OK enough for me to remember. I think it's a convenient location if you're by the area, but that's about it. HORRIBLE customer service. Asked for straws and only gave us 2 when they clearly saw that we had a party of five. Got two of our orders wrong and didn't repeat our orders when we made them. Also gave us butter knives to cut meat. Did not seat us when we walked in and employees were in the back talking and laughing with each other. There is a reason why they call this place Delicious Pho...it truly is! The broth was tasty and the noodles were a good texture. I ordered the one with everything in it (forgot the number) and there was a good quantity of meat. Service was fine. Came at the lunch rush and there was a small wait. The beauty with pho is that it comes fast so turnover is quick. As you come in, there is a waiting list board to write your name on . Price was pretty decent for downtown Vancouver. $9.50 for large bowl. Definitely give this place a try. read more

Speaking strictly on taste, broth flavour is mediocre and *yawn* underwhelming, meat quality is a bit chewy and bland, and the noodles are borderline overcooked (ie. not al dente chewy). Average pho to me means 3 stars, but today the service was especially terrible so I thought to mention a few things wrong today. 1 - Took forever to realize I was there at the restaurant and had to stand there uncomfortably with no one acknowledging me for a good few minutes even with direct eye contact 2 - When I sat down, I was essentially forgotten and no one addressed me (I even sat in front of the cash register!!) 3 - Told the apologetic waiter two times, because he forgot the first time, NO cilantro 4 - Got my pho with cilantro anyway 5 - He returned it claiming they removed it, but I still had to remove a good tablespoon of cilantro meticulously as I ate 6 - The cashier forgot to ask if I worked around the area for the local discount ... I'm starting to think that 5% tip was too generous. I'll give that to you because you at least gave me water correctly. I bet it won't stop many people from going here (probably because they don't know what good food is, or care about proper service), but I'm not coming back unless I'm desperate for pho. Generous portions, clean and spacious, friendly service. The large seafood pho is really big, enough for two people to share. Noodles have good texture, and I love that there are lots of veggies! The only thing is I wish the broth was more fragrant. The strawberry smoothie is a fine slush with real strawberries and not overly sweet, very nice. Wonton soup is great. The veggie spring roll is just okay (too greasy for my taste). Overall a good meal and I would go back. read more

Fantastic and fast service with huge size small soups. I tried their #22 spicy bin bo hua - unfortunately its not spicy at all - however it still was very enjoyable. Served with what seems to be spaghetti noodles, this dish is packed with meat and taste. I especially loved the huge lime section, sprout and green-ige to add. We went to delicious pho as a group of 10 for walk in dinner on the long weekend. The staff served the group very well, helping us get seated (even while it was a nearly full restaurant) and taking our orders swiftly. All of the order arrived in under 10 minutes, including stuff from nearly all menu sections (appetizers, banh mi, pho, vermicelli, drinks) and tasted pretty good. In all, we were able to comfortably arrive, get seated, dine, and settle up, all in one hour of time. Well done! read more

Best beef pho out of the pho places I've tried in downtown. The soup was piping hot, flavorful, meat not too fatty, and lots of meat. I like how you can order just one salad roll but they were just ok in flavor. I don't like how you only get an ice filled glass of fresh coconut water vs a whole coconut. They probably make three or four drinks per one coconut. The pho though is goooood. read more

We got takeout from here... Not impressed. We both ordered the large soups and I don't know if it's a difference of bowl sizes when it's takeout but portion sizes were lacking. I was still hungry after finishing my #1...and the broth sorta tasted like beef bouillon and lacked the authentic pho flavour. I'm not sure if that's my fault for asking for them to take it easy on MSG flavouring but even still, I'm not sure that the request was understood or honoured. I was also quite disappointed with the amount of noodles in my soup and we didn't get any of the fresh veggies normally served with pho (lime, jalapeño, sprouts, and basil). Sad presentation. We also got the banh mi. Fairly small compared to what we're used to. Viet sub across the street has better value and a better product. We walked out spending ~$25. read more

This place isn't the best pho place but, it's close to us and it gets the job done. I like ordering their vermicelli bowls and their pork patty salad rolls. Their pho has good days and bad days.. unfortunately they don't like to refill your water ever so you always have to hunt them down and ask for more. A slightly above average spot that I would go back to if I'm craving pho in the downtown area. I particularly like that you can order just one salad roll or spring roll as I'm usually too full to order a set of rolls and pho. The pho itself was nothing to write home about but not bad either. Delicious Pho is fairly new to the far eastern end of Robson Street. Directly across from a Ramen restaurant at first didn't think they would fill their seats. However, I was wrong. This is just what the neighborhood needed. Cheap decent eats. The portions are massive even for pho. I reccomend getting the small if it is an option. At lunch there is usually a bit of a wait. So if you want to avoid the line up I suggest going a bit before twelve or after one. The staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant is kept tidy and nea. If it is raining make sure you watch your footing as the tile floors are terribly slippery when wet. neat and tidy read more

HUGE bowl of pho. Usually when walking passed the area, one would smell a smoked, grilled, delicious, attractive smell and wonder which shop it comes from. It is actually the grilled food from delicious pho. so when I frequent this place, I do not get pho, I get no. 65, the grilled chicken and pork. Follow the scent for tasty food. Rarely is that the case in Vancouver. I think Vancouver needs more of these places, affordable and tasty food. I hold this as the minimum standard wherever I go. thank you Delicious Pho. like most Asian places service is little or non existent. but for me good food comes first, service last. One must understand good service is difficult for a busy place and I see way too many people so heavily focused on good service. The worst place, of course, is a not so busy place with bad service. There are way too many shitty places in Vancouver and I blame the consumers for not understanding what good food is and continue to support them. As a Vietnamese, I would say Pho here is not delicious. Sorry! But their banh mi (sub) is one of the best in Vancouver. It's a pleasant surprise! And as far as I know, the same grilled meat is on Bun (vermicelli )dish and Rice; so I believe they are great as well. Their rolls are awesome as well (would love to have more meat though!!!!). The sauce is quite authentic, it's richer and fuller flavor than most, if not all, Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. They sauce tastes quite close to the sauce you have in Vietnam, not like the mass popular sauce at other places with mainly hoisin sauce taste. I'll come there for their sub and rolls again and again! And, yes, agree, the staff there are so cute, attentive and helpful. I love those young girls! read more

Solid choice for dinner - had pho which had light and clean tasting broth. Plenty of noodles and soup and beef in the small size for 10 bucks. Didn't give as much basil and sprouts as I'm used to but that was okay. Best was their sambal- I'm obsessed with that stuff. Stinky spicy deliciousness - perfect for broth. I went overboard and my mouth was burning for a while esp when drinking that hot broth. Lotsa noodles in the bun almost too much. But the hub got the veggie one and the fried tofu was yummy! I can't speak to the pho that is involved with the name... but I did order a banh mi. I went with the sliced pork banh mi... and it was pretty tasty. I was in a rush... had to make it to a soccer match down the street at BC Place, and I was in, ordered and out in about 30 minutes or less. The food was pretty tasty. The wife ordered pho (can't remember which one). She said it was about as good as Ha Cafe (the place in our neighbourhood). The banh mi was maybe a little better than at Ha Cafe.... but better than the last few I have had in around the International Village Mall. This place is a winner.. the name says it all "Delicious Pho". Clever marketing. The price is right, you get your value for under $10, the portions are HUGE. A small bowl is bigger than my face. The selection is vast and the service is fast (I wasn't trying to rhyme). If I could come here often, I would. The place is always very busy but the staff are so fast and efficient. Seems like I've been fighting the urge to leave bad reviews lately... another bad review to a place I love to eat. Delicious pho is my favorite pho place downtown; the food is still good, and I'd give 4 stars for that. This 2 star rating is also based on this particular visit, soooo I'll probably go again during the week to see if weekday service is any better. I any case -- it's a Sunday, and I haven't been there in a couple months. Certainly not in a weekend. The weekend staff is completely changed around from the last time I was there on a Sunday. As per usual with leaving a bad review, I don't want to get anyone in trouble or name any names, I just think the people need more coaching on what they're doing wrong. I'll also add that the server was clearly trying to be efficient and multitask, but overlooking some common sense and basic day one sh*t. First of all, something I liked about Delicious Pho is that they bring bills to the table and flag-down service isn't necessary. They stopped bringing bulls to the table some time ago, and just this time I had to flag down the server and noticed other customers also flagging him down -- most Vietnamese places in Vancouver offer full table service so I was a bit surprised. I ordered lemongrass chicken and prawns with rice, which was delicious. The drop off of the food was weird. The server held out a crumpled up chit, and said a mumbled "number 66". This leaves a pretty weird impression. He had to look at the crumpled up piece of paper to tell me I ordered number 66. The number of my order is pretty useless to me -- why would I care about number 66? When calling out the names of dishes that are placed at the table, I should hear "chicken and prawns", maybe throw in some "lemongrass" or "rice" with your call out, but for heavens sake don't tell me I'm about to eat number 66. Those numbers are for simplifying ordering. Not for telling me what I'm eating. Anyway, these service oddities are not deal breakers, just day one sh*t, as I said earlier. I should add though that they are incentive enough that at this point I'd rather go to another establishment where I know these things will never happen. The real deal breaker comes from some other issues. I feel a bit bad because I know the server was just trying to be keen on multitasking -- it's important for waitstaff to multitask -- but you have to dial it back when sanitation is in question. Quite often I would see the server carrying water in one hand for one table, and a plate or bowl in the other hand for the next table -- this isn't really too much of a problem but it is a bit of a hint at unprofessionalism. I know they're trying to get more done on one walk by so that they can handle customers more efficiently, however here is the major problem: on another pass I saw the server carrying two plates in one arm and a rag used for wiping tables on the other. He walked by the table which was supposed to receive the food, dropped the rag off on a table that was to be bussed, and then proceeded to carry each plate in one hand back to the table, and place them down. The hand used to carry the cleaning rag also touched the plate. Now, even though I brushed off the same activity of carrying plates in one hand and glasses in the other, it's important to minimize contact between different objects such as cups and plates. Even though all are ideally sanitized, the reality is that cups touch a lot of people's hands, even after they've been washed. We don't know what kind of bacteria might be on the outside of the cup that has been carried to the table, and then transferred to the plate that's being handed off. Next issue, and I'm attaching a photo for this one. In the men's washroom stall there was an empty toilet paper roll, but a pyramid pile of three toilet paper rolls. Very bachelor padesque. In the photo you can't actually see the pyramid pile however. As I was cleaning my sphincter, I had to reach behind myself to grab a toilet paper roll; in the process of blindly grabbing one roll, I knocked over the smaller role which was one of the two underneath the one I picked up, and it fell behind me and almost into the toilet. That would have been quite the mess if it had gone into the bowl.... read more

Err I don't know about delicious but it does the job. This is your typical downtown Vietnamese joint. If you want something more authentic and flavourful I would not recommend this place. But their portions are good and I actually like the casual atmosphere with the big windows and brightness. The staff are pretty friendly here and service is quick. I want to say that Delicious pho has dreadful service. I have been to this Delicious Pho with dreadful service many times and I understand that I enjoy the good pho there but the service. It always has very sad service. I am used to being ignored there so I have never felt the need to write any comment but today, it was particularly dreadful and awful. There were 5 of us. I came with our 3 girls. They had vietnamese sandwiches (Bánh mì) To whomever had experience eating Vietnamese sandwiches will know that when we eat Vietnamese sandwiches, we can not help it that sometimes we will will leave some bread crumbs at the table (the sandwich came with crunchy breads that we called baguette. When we bite into it some part of the baguette will break apart and leave some crumbs easily) We did not spill sauces or leaving garbages on the table. It was just some crumbs from eating the Vietnamese sandwiches (Bánh mì). At the end of our meal, I was actually trying to help to clean up some of the crumbs and also to stack some plates so it would be easier for them to clean up. We ordered 5 dishes so we had some plates placed here and there at the table and 2 glasses of smoothies and 5 cups of waters. One of the lady who worked there came and as she was clearing up the table, she grumbled rudely with the most sour face I could see. She also made sure that I could see her annoyed face. Wow, yes, I saw her sour face and heard what she said because I was standing in front of her and I was helping her stacking some plates. She did not try to at least respecting my help. I could not believe what I heard. It was so bad that it made me feel so angry. I wished Delicious Pho would read it and improve their service. read more

Perfect when you're looking for quick affordable pho! Always busy during lunch. They get you in and get you out quickly, which is great for the lunch crowd. You never have to wait inline too long (Don't forget to put your name on the board the moment you get inside). I recently went there for lunch on a rainy day. The hostess refused to seat us because I would not leave my umbrella at the front door in a bucket with other umbrellas. I asked if they would recompense me if the umbrella was stolen. She said no. I have had umbrellas stolen before. So their policy is that you must leave your umbrella at the door and, if it gets stolen, too bad for you! Horrible policy, horrible customer service. read more

there are not many places in downtown that sell good pho as usually the good ones you mind more in east van. but i have to say this place was just AWFUL...... the service was standard and was expected from a pho restaurant. no problem there. Once we got the food the broth was soooooooo bland... and watered down, the noodles were still hard, and the beef was just plain bad and chewy. Besides their lackluster food, I'm going to emphasize the horrible service I received in this review. I went to Delicious Pho in mid-June. It was my first time there (And will be my last time). It was late evening, so I thought it would be a good idea to order a take-out. When I walked into the restaurant, it was about half full. There were two servers, a man and a woman on the floor and a younger woman at the counter. I politely asked the server at the counter for a menu. After looking through the menu, I pointed to two pictures (Seafood Pho and Shrimp Spring Rolls) and told her I wanted to order them to go. She irritatingly replied, "You mean number 19" and so forth. I said yes. Once she gave me the total, I took out the money out of my pocket, and then I remembered that my girlfriend doesn't like green onions. I politely asked the server not to add green onions to my Pho. She let out a sigh and forcefully ripped the receipt out from the printer. She then proceeded to literally scold me, saying that I should've told her before she rung up the order and that it's too late to make changes once the order has been made. I stood there dumbfounded by what had just happened. All that came out of my mouth at that moment was, "Why are you so angry?" There was no reply. I sat down at an empty table near the counter to wait for my order and all I could think of was the huge regret for giving my money to this restaurant. I actually asked one of the servers on the floor if this restaurant treated sit-down customers better than take-out customers. He said no, of course. It was a silly question, but I saw the same angry server being polite to some of the sit-down customers. The angry server brought over my take-out order. I took the opportunity to explain nicely (It was tough to do) what I felt about her disrespectful behavior and how she should be more patient with her customers. She ended up apologizing (Halfheartedly) at the end. I don't know why she got so upset. Maybe, she doesn't like her job or she just had a very bad day. I think this is the best Pho in downtown area. The noodle taste great and soup is delicious. Not too much MSG taste, although I knew there's always some. Smoothie is the best. I love avocado smoothie and durian smoothie. The quality of smoothie is way better than bubble tea place. read more

For downtown this is pretty ok pho. A little greasy but portions are big so it's a good deal. When I'm craving pho and don't wanna go to far this does the job. When you walk past the restaurant, the tables are usually almost always full (after the pandemic, there's less people now, but it's slowly coming back). The pho broth is the best you could find in Vancouver. The sizes are amazing compared to other restaurants for the same/similar price. Small is more like a medium and a large is more like an extra large. They also have the best authentic Viet sandwiches. Overall, the food is really good. This my favourite for fast, cheap, good food over lunch. We went in Friday and were seated within minutes. Servings were generous. Choice of sauces on the table was varied and respectable.
