The PLASTIC BAG TIP in his food. Showing it to the cashier. ‍.

Well. This was $16. I'm so stuffed there's probably 2 bites left. Can't finish. So stuffed Large and small is the same just more or less soup and noodle. Next time I get small. I think for me that would be just right. Right across from subway and a ramen place. Service speed as so fast. I ordered and it arrived in about 60 seconds. I swear! Good if you're in a hurry for lunch break (mines 75 mins long) I went at 1 pm. No wait. Sat right away. They accept take out Place is chill, spacious, clean, and the servers are really on top of cleaning , clearing and setting tables it's immediately ready for next customer the moment you leave. Witnessed a customer complaining about the tip of a plastic bag. In the soup. The waitress offered to void "his bowl". I'm not sure I would have been that okay. Should be like the table. It's 3 people just cheap noodles. Customer didn't want to make a fuss and in a bit of hurry. But I wouldn't of accept a $15 bowl of noodles free for a choking hazard that's the same color as the beef tripe The PLASTIC BAG TIP in his food. Showing it to the cashier. ‍. Speed A+. But. Maybe slow down and check the bowls before putting soup and noodles in it. It was at the bottom his bowl.

We're impressed with the fast service and good food for takeout here in a busy part of the city. Just tried the crispy spring rolls and pork/prawns rice plate. Fresh. Tasty. Convenient. We're going back!

One of the best balanced foods amongst the Asian palette is the rich yet light fare of Vietnamese food. Beyond the regular Beef Pho or spring rolls, one has to try the Bun Bo Hue. This is an all time favorite street food in Hanoi with a spicy flare of a rich broth with thick rice noodles and slices of beef and fish cake. The true testament of a Vietnamese restaurant is when they have an authentic version of this rich dish. This restaurant certainly has it! The portions are huge too! Another street favorite is the Banh Mi. Where the bread is baked fresh and the meats with a good size serving of vegetables is fresh. I would definitely recommend this place!

Let's get down to business, large size pho was only $1 more than the small size, why not. Large size was huge, larger than my hand size (see photo) Asked to have been sprouts cooked as raw bean sprouts don't cook fast enough in pho broth. Broth could have been more flavorful, no hint of cinnamon in the broth base. Pho did get served very hot which his how I like my pho, especially on a cold day. Noodles cooked ok, plenty of protein given. No fish sauce condiment on tables which I thought was strange, asked for fish sauce, the server never came back, finally did return towards the end of my meal, not good service. Would I come back, no, many other pho places to try.

We came on a drizzly day, and I wanted to buy a hot bowl of soup. I order the vegetarian phõ as well as the vegetarian bánh mì. I have had many vegetarian phõ. They usually lack flavor. Not this place. It was full of flavor and an exceptionally large bowl for it being their small size. It can definitely be shared between two people. The roll is soft inside and out unlike Hawaii which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The roll was not crispy like Hawaii but soft all around including inside. I highly recommend this place and will patronize again while I'm visiting.

We visited Vancouver specially for the Asian food scene and this place did not disappoint. AMAZING food, incredibly fast service, and holy cow the coffee. You want to come here. FYI, all the coffees have dairy in them unless you request a change

The first time I had had Pho I didn't really like it and since then I had an aversion to try out Pho again. On my way I crossed Delicious Pho and right at that time I was thinking about what to have for dinner. I doubled back and decided to give it a try. I was asked to sit wherever I wanted to. The ambience is simple and the staff was friendly. After some deliberation and discussion with the server, I went with the small size of hot and sour noodle soup. It looked so good when it arrived! Plentiful of seafood and veggies. I took the first sip and it was delicious! Bursting with flavor and the perfect balance of hot and sour. Completely changed my opinion on Pho. I'm coming back here to try out the other items on menu!

    Great lunch dish!

This place is my "Go To" place for my Vietnamese cuisine. I went to this place a few time with my friends and every dishes ( from rice dishes to Pho) that we ordered turnout great in taste. I would recommend this place if you ever visit downtown Vancouver.

I wouldn't go back At the time of my review i was visiting Vancouver decided to walk in for dinner, first impressions it was super empty while the restaurant next door had people waiting outside to eat there. I sat down and began looking at the menu but I couldn't help but notice there was an unbearable unappetising smile in the restaurant. I literally felt like I was going to be sick. To be nice I got up walked up to the counter ordered and paid for something simple to go which should have been 5 minutes according to them. Waited 8 minutes nothing so I just walked out. Idk what was going that day but I'm very sensitive to smell and a restaurant should not smell that way.

I've walked by this restaurant a number of times while visiting Vancouver and finally had a chance to pop in and give it a try. I ordered the vegetarian spring roll, vegetarian salad roll and the small vegetarian pho. I can safely say that the vegetarian spring rolls are the best I've ever had from a Vietnamese restaurant. The spring rolls had a great filling to wrapper ratio and provided the perfect crispy, crunch spring rolls are known for. The vegetarian salad roll had fried tofu in addition to cabbage, cucumber and bean sprouts. Both appetizers were delicious and fresh. The vegetarian pho is hands down the best pho I've ever had. The vegetable broth was delicious and full of flavour. It was a huge serving for a small. A ton of vegetables and the crispy tofu was appreciated. If you are craving a warm bowl of pho, check this place out. Service was friendly, fast and the food came piping hot.

Misophonics rejoice- you won't likely be annoyed here! When I first arrived I was a little taken aback at the sound level of the music playing inside the restaurant. Little did I know someone was looking out for me, a person who hates chewing and slurping sounds. This was my first pho experience and definitely won't be my last. The broth was warm and comforting, vegetables fresh, service prompt, and very affordable as well. Being that this restaurant is so close to my hotel, I will definitely come back for more knowing I'm kept safe from the evils of slurps.

Unfortunately, that was my experience at Jingle Bao & Yum Yum Wok. I purposely planned to arrive around 3:30pm so I can take advantage of the 2-5pm happy hour special. Upon entry, I was given three options for seating as it wasn't busy. The server was extremely nice and it was great to see a staff freshly making their XLBs. I ended up ordering a trio set; the Crab XLB for my dumpling option, the tan tan noodles for my starch, and a matcha latte for my beverage. The tan tan noodles arrived first. Unlike the noodles I normally order, it was in a chili oil broth. I can tell the noodles were hand cut, but the thickness was consistent with udon noodles. It lacked flavor and the chili oil and sesame oil combo failed to sink into the noodle. Another table asked for salt for their noodle, hoping that it would save the taste. Neither them nor I finished it. The beverage came out second. The lady making it behind the counter didn't seem too careful with the ratio. What I ended up getting was a slightly mint color milk beverage. It wasn't very good, but still my favorite of the trio. You can mess up flavor milk. The dumplings came out shortly after. Maybe it's my bad for being adventurous right from the start - and I also know that not everything is made for me; but other than the nice red-white ying yang color, it was bad. The dumplings were all different sizes. The meat inside fell apart and broke. It as also surprisingly fishy, which makes me think that the crab had been dead for a long while. I ended up using the vinegar to mask the taste and fishyness. Upon a closer look at the menu, the price differential between the HH combo and the individual orders weren't much of a difference. I felt kinda bummed that I purposely targeted this place at this time and it fell short of expectations. Two starts for the decor and the lovely people, but zero for the food.

Dwenjang jjigae had an interesting twist. It was lighter and more radish-forward than the traditional version, which I didn't mind, but it felt a bit unusual to call it dwenjang jjigae. It came with mushrooms, radish, tofu, and thin slices of beef. Overall, it was light and very enjoyable. Soondae was different from the typical version I'm used to. Here, it's made with an innards casing and the filling was also different, like meaty with less noodles. It had a strong flavor and aroma that I didn't prefer but the texture was soft, not chewy, and it paired nicely with kimchi and radish. It was fine to try but I probably wouldn't order it again. We ordered a small, and couldn't finish. Side dishes were limited to three varieties (fish cake, kimchi, bean sprouts) and served in small portions. With the richness of the bossam and strong taste of the soondae, we needed more kimchi and pickled radish but it was hard to get our server's attention, likely because she was busy attending to all the tables. We enjoyed the warm ambiance, and it seemed like many diners were enjoying the army stew. We'll be back to try more items and for the bossam.
