Moved to the area not too long ago, and usually get my pan de Dulce from Northgate market, but tbh it can taste too commercial? lol so I checked this place out and the conchas were so soft and tasty! We parked in the back of the building which I don't think was meant for customers but there is parking right out front, it's off Atlantic ave, the ladies were nice and they accept Zelle, which was great because we don't carry cash, it's a small panaderia but they make tamales and have an assortment of pan de Dulce, over all nice ambiance and good customer service! read more

I was looking for a bakery that sells nice fresh bread. When I arrived, I wasn't greeted and there was no one in the front counter. I had said "hello" and I was ignored by the lady in the back, until minutes went by again and I tried once more, a little louder and then she saw me, and called for someone else. Then I was greeted by another lady to help me. When I went to pay, they informed me that they only use cash. THIS IS A CASH ONLY PLACE! I did not see this recently in the reviews and on Yelp it says they accept credit cards. I went back home to get some cash and came back and they still had my bread waiting for me, which was nice, and they compensated some bread for me since I left and came back, they didn't have to but i appreciate it a lot! OMG (daily bread bakery) has some of desserts & bread in Long Beach. They also have so very yummy tamales that are so good. The cheesecake is the best that I have had, it's very unique. The bakery is a community hub for the great BIxby Knolls area. There's a small parking lot in the back, lots of street parking. I had the pleasure of meeting Berenice at (Accelerate Uptown) a media workshop for entrepreneurs. Berenice has a interesting story of how the bakery was started with her #5sisters & #parents. So glad to have had an extra few minutes to spare before work! I was aching for a corporate cup of liquid cancer, you know, Starbucks. It just so happened that this place popped up on my Yelp radar while looking for one. Sugary carbs - great alternative, amirite?! Nothing fancy, a few street side parking spaces up front in the Northside next to the entrance & probably a few more around the way. Luckily gentrification hasn't hit this side of town just yet but I digress. This unpretentious space is adequate and offered a modest selection of cookies & sweet breads. All very appealing & fairly similar to your local grocers panaderia. I was actually very impressed with their tamales. If one can be called buttery theirs would nail that adjective! I was driving home and I noticed a new bakery. I've read good things online about it and decided to give a try. They bake their bread daily and once can taste it. You can start with the 3 Conchas for $1 but you will end up trying others. Be warned, one bite and you will be hooked. The place is clean and the staff is wonderful. What an amazing find. read more

Worst service ever, I got there to buy fresh bolillo & the young girl working the cashier made me wait and then let the person behind me go before me. She was so rude and had no people skills. The worst service ever, the bread is more expensive the service is bad. The girl serving you bread is the worst. The guy came out the back and just ignore me and acted like I wasn't there. I don't recommend this place, they rude and don't serve you and make you wait for no reason, if there wasn't any bread how can the lady behind get some. So this panaderia is just what I have been looking for. I went in hoping to get some good and fresh sweet bread and was so happy when I tried their conchas. They are delicious and soft on the inside. I was also surprised when I found out they had tamales. I tried the green chicken tamale and it was amazing. It's made with white meat and a tasty green sauce that is not spicy. I also went back the next day and tried their champurrado which was delicious as well and not too thick like some others I've tasted. They were out of the green chicken tamales so I tried the red chicken tamale and it did not disappoint! The red chicken has a little spice to it and was oh so good. I will definitely be going back. Forever looking for that neighborhood bakery with the GOOD-FRESH-SOFT bolillo! FOUND it! 3 for $1.00 and they are super soft. The other pastries are also yummy. Advice, bring cash. There is a seating area to enjoy your coffee and pan dulce. I peaked the display of their cakes....OMG they are so cute. Know can have it done in fondant or whipped cream. The colors and the design are gorgeous. Next time I need a cake I will give them a try for sure. But I will be back for the bolillo. After moving to Long Beach it was really hard to find a authentic pan dulce place, this little mama pop shop has the best pan dulce in the area! Staff is friendly and the prices are good. We went last week and I don't know if it was just that mornings batch of bread but it was dry! We haven't been disappointed till last week! We've been going there since they opened. I was looking for a new Panaderia near my house and found this place on yelp. I usually go to Northgate but the quality of their bread has deteriorated and their prices have gone up. When I got to this place the smell of fresh bread attacked me. It was amazing! They had fresh racks of conchas nice and warm. I grabbed 3 conchas, one empanada de crema, and 2 rolls of bread stuffed with strawberry jelly! I had one of each as soon as I got home and the bread was fresh and delicious! The tamales are amazing , they even have tamales de Mole on saturdays ! Delicious!
