An exceptional find! While visiting Little Rock we happened on this gem of a restaurant. The food is delicious and well presented. Good portions at an excellent price. This is my favorite breakfast place in Little Rock. I go at least once or twice a week. Each morning they have a specialty coffee and the service is 5 star no matter which day or time I go. I cut out carbs Monday - Thursday and, even then, the menu has options to where I can still have a nice, hearty meal. If you're in town, make sure you drop by. read more

Nice little restaurant tucked out of sight such that we never even knew it existed despite its 40+ years in operation. The restaurant is a single room in a strip mall. If you face the front of the restaurant the glare is quite bright despite the tinted windows so I recommend facing the back, though your companion will then be the blind one. The host was efficient in getting people checked in or on the wait list and managed the right entry space well by directing folks to the covered awning out front instead of clogging up the entry/exit. My crew ordered two eggs Benny, two pancakes, and one DT omelet. The omelet contained crab meat and mozzarella and was covered in hollandaise. While it was good, it wasn't really more than the sum of its parts. It came with a massive croissant that the family said was yummy. The prices were fair and the service was good, though a bit slow. We waited quite a bit before they brought us our food, bringing two orders of the DT omelet (an extra that we didn't order). Upon receiving the bill, we were charged for both and had to wait even longer to get it removed. This is by far the best breakfast lunch brunch place I have eaten at since I've lived in littlerock since 2008! due to the traveling for work I have lived in over 20 states in the first thing I do is look for a good breakfast place I can't believe it took me so long to find delicious temptations! the owner Anthony is creative and concern for his food to always be amazing and fresh and his customers to be happy and full! Pancakes are the best in the world ever barring none! We can't wait to try everything we've seen on the menu. Three years later, and I finally got the chance to come back to Delicious Temptations. And actually eat food this time. There isn't a sign that says "seat yourself" anymore (or maybe they rotate a "seat yourself" with a "please wait to be seated" sign), but there was also no hostess to be seen to direct us to a table. My mother-in-law and I stood for a good 10 minutes at the door waiting to be seated and servers never looked our way. There was one folding silverware at the counter, who did manage to come clear a table that was exactly right next to where we were standing - except she never looked up once to say someone would be right with you. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE?! Finally, we did get seated - by a server who cleared a table clear across the other side of the room and then waved to us from there instead of coming to get us. I don't get it, I just don't. Yes, they are a busy restaurant. Yes, they seem to be really popular. But they lack a great deal on basic customer service or even proper protocol on serving guests. Now, our server was very friendly although never once acknowledged our long wait at the door. I tried to keep a good spirit because now we were seated and reading menus. And they did have a lot of good things to offer. I chose the California Croissant which ended up to be extremely good and fresh although it took light years to get it. I recommend it to you if you have about 2 hours to eat on your lunch break. If you read through the reviews, you will notice a lot of people talk about the lack of service, slow service, how servers breeze past your table without a second glance. It is NO JOKE. How does a restaurant like this stay in business? One reviewer said as long as you expect to have a wait like this, everything should be fine. NO IT SHOULD NOT. There is no reason why a restaurant who is in business to serve customers should basically ignore those same customers. I'm happy for you that your dining room is full of people - and how that has even came to pass is beyond me - but does anyone at Delicious Temptations even read their reviews on Yelp? I came here three years ago and had the exact same service then and I did now. So it's not a fluke. I didn't come here on an off day. It's just what they do. I love brunch. Like LOVE brunch. So there was no question what we'd be doing on Sunday morning when I visited LIttle Rock for the weekend... all I could think of is "where are we going to eat brunch?" Of course I Yelped. We had been given some suggestions for some local places, but they seemed a little pricey. Delicious Temptations was close and cheap, so we gave it a try. After browsing the menu prior to going, (thanks to Ron N. for posting pics of the menu!) I was also super excited to try it because they have a variety of eggs benedict plates. I am a big fan of eggs benedict, so I tried the Eggs Temptations, which was eggs benedict with crab meat and artichoke hearts. Three things I really enjoy all together, so I couldn't resist. Overall, the dish was ok- eggs were poached just right, the hollandaise was good, but it was very heavy on the artichokes and very light on the crab. I would have liked more crab (like enough that I can actually taste it) and less artichokes, but I guess I understand bc crab is expensive. The portion would have been enough if I was just hungry, but I was really hungry, so I ordered a side of the potato casserole because it sounded delicious. It came as a large cup of semi-mashed potatoes mixed with cheese and what I figured was cream of mushroom, because I found chunks of mushroom in it. I am a big fan of anything with potatoes, but I would not have ordered it if I could rewind. It was just too much cheese and cream for my liking. I also shared a strawberry yogurt pancake with my friend (geeze, I really sound like a little piggy here) and it was heavenly. It was so light and fluffy and it was practically dessert. My friend ordered a custom omelette with egg beaters, ham, bell peppers, onions and maybe some other stuff and it came with a croissant. The croissant was so good and I forgot to ask if they made them in house, because it tasted to fresh. They also give you strawberry butter to go on that croissant, and it was great too. The other quirk was the cinnamon coffee that I ordered that was the perfect touch to my mega-breakfast. The prices and portions were ok enough to go back. The sweet waitress and no wait for a table (at noon on a Sunday) were also nice bonuses. And I'm glad I read the advice that it's behind the Party City on Rodney Parham, because we wouldn't have been able to find it otherwise! read more

On 6/12 I ordered French toast and biscuits & gravy to be picked up at the earliest pick up time at 8:30am. I arrived at 8:08am just incase it was ready, I approached the the counter and told them I had an order for pick up. The girl in the purple shirt explained how the food was not ready yet, and I understood as it was 20 mins before I had set for it to be picked up. I then told her I would sit in the front and wait. At 8:35 I walked up to the counter and asked if it was ready. She rolled her eyes and walks out to grab the food and hands it to me. Then says "I sent you a text saying it was ready, did you not get it". I had not got a text and even if I had a got a text it would not of been that hard for her to just walk the 5 steps to hand it to me where I was sitting. She made me feel as if I was inconveniencing her and had just a rude attitude from the beginning. If I find myself in Little Rock anytime close to breakfast I am driving directly here. There is always a line out the door, but the wait usually isn't too long. Honestly, I'd wait as long as it takes. The staff is very friendly and they keep the coffee flowing. One of my staples is the banana and pecan pancake. Great flavor. With that I usually have an omelette I get to build myself, with almost unlimited options. The croissant that comes with it is airy and pairs well with the fruit flavored butter offered. My husband and I are in town visiting from Atlanta, GA. This establishment was referred to us to try because it was supposedly very good. We arrived and were greeted by a pleasant server and seated immediately. Ashley took our order which consisted of the Old Fashioned Breakfast with a side of cheese grits and a cup of hamburger potato soup with a Open Faced Crab Melt. Unfortunately my husbands grits arrived well into him eating his meal, which made for an interesting breakfast. The Open Faced Crab Melt was unbelievably horrible and because they did not have chips I was given oranges. The soup was salty but tasty. However in communicating with Ashley, I let her know I did not like the melt. She promptly took my plate away and handed me a menu. Never to return to ask if I wanted to order anything else. Which means while my husband ate his meal, I basically sat and watched him eat. ASHLEY NEVER CAME BACK TO TABLE. NEVER!!!! No one asked if I wanted to order anything else. Very unprofessional. VERY! I'll admit, I only came for breakfast, but I cannot tell you how happy my belly is. I ordered a biscuits and gravy.... yum. The gravy is not too heavy with meat but so flavorful. The omelette is perfectly cooked to order with almost whatever added ingredient you want- I like spinach, cheddar, jalapenos, and bacon. The grits are perfectly cooked, no cheese please.
