As with many fans on the weekend, got a craving for pizza while watching football. So I did my always reliable searched on Yelp! Instead of being disappointed when ordering from chain pizza places, I started looking around for different options and found Delizia's Pizza Kitchen. I called for delivery, got the sausage pie and cheesesteak. reasonably priced. Said they would the food arrived about 45 minutes, so 40 minutes later they deliver 5 minutes early...always a good sign. The delivery driver was friendly...not harassing about a tip like the Dominos guys! The cheesesteak with provolone was delicious and pizza was cooked perfectly...from the crust to the cheese/sauce ratio...it was just right!! Next time, I'll drop in to the restaurant and check out the ambiance. read more

There are two Delizia locations, one in Dover and this one in Ledgewood. My wife and I recently dined in at this Ledgewood location. Since it was my first time here, I had to order a slice of pizza. The Sicilian topped with pepperoni was very good. My wife ordered a salad and liked it as well. We also ordered the eggplant rollatini appetizer which we liked, but could have been much hotter. All in all, I'd give this pizzeria a thumbs up and would stop in or order from them again. read more

My boyfriend and I were waiting for our car to be fixed so decided to take a walk to McDonalds until we saw this little pizza spot and decided to pop in and boy I'm glad we did. THE PIZZA WAS DELICIOUS!! When taking a bite there was a huge cheese pull and the crust was definitely crunchy but not burnt. Affordable price for 3 slices of pizza. Beware the employees wear masks improperly and do not wear gloves. As I was waiting for a few slices I witnessed one of the women working with her mask pulled down to her chin rub her nose and face with her hands (ungloved mind you) and then slightly pull her mask up not covering her nose and then just grab lettuce with her hands (still no gloves) and bring to cut the lettuce to make salads. I know she saw me look at her while she spoke to another male worker and just kept grabbing lettuce with her bare hands after having rubbed her entire face. Even without Covid on everyone's mind, this is just not hygienic nor proper food safety measures are being taken. No one wants to eat skin cells and potential snot and mucus debris with their salads. Very disappointed at the honoring of Local Flavor Certificate we presented. Purchased certificate that could be used for indoor dining at $30 value for dine in spending $30. A second option was to use for take out required $45 spending and gave $30 value. Clearly marked certificate describe 2 options. We chose dine in but they refused to honor certificate for dine in value! Spoke to Monica when we went there about a month ago and she acknowledged $30 dine in was correct and honored certificate. I called to see if there was anything I could do to get a new pizza because my kids were expecting a penne vodka pizza. It was a simple mistake and the girl was SO nasty when I called. She said I should have paid attention when I ordered. I told her there was NO need for an attitude and asked if I could get a new pizza. The girl said "yea, if you pay for it". If I could give less than a star, I would. We ordered a meat pizza and they sent a combo pizza covered in mushrooms and peppers. I called to complain and whoever answered was HORRIBLY rude. Finally got our replacement pizza and we can't even recognize what meat is on it. It's grayish/brown and tastes horrible. Literally, our pitbulls won't even touch it. Smh When you move to the East coast, you have pizza expectations....this didn't even come close to fulfilling what we wanted. Stopped in here yesterday afternoon after turning into the wrong parking lot. The big 99 cent slice sign caught my attention and I ended up trying it out. It was pretty busy around 4-5pm. All employees behind the counter were nice, and keeping everything under control. Phone going crazy (someone was on it), someone taking walk-ins, a server helping the tables and the pizza guys getting everything done. Stopped in for a quick take-out lunch. Ordered a grilled chicken wrap which was done well. Chicken had good flavor, toppings were fresh and it was packaged well, wrapped in foil and served in a long box that kept it from sliding around in the car. Lots of people were eating inside and several people came in for slices while I waited. They had a nice selection of slices and other items ready to go. I will go back to try other items next time I'm in the area. read more

My wife & I are from Wayne, NJ but are in the process of relocating to Ledgewood. It was our first visit to the Ledgewood mall. As far as the mall, although it's minimalistic & utilitarian in appearance it's the first time we've seen either Marshalls or Walmart as anchors in an enclosed mall, which is highly convenient especially in excessively hot or cold weather. I gave Delizia Pizza 5 stars because: - our food was delicious - very large portions - menu is extensive - highly inexpensive - restaurant is attractive & spacious with comfortable booths - chef & servers were polite, pleasant & accommodating - dishes are prepared right in front of you We ordered a veggie calzone & eggplant parm sandwich & split the 2 between us, although my wife was full after 1/2 the calzone so we wrapped her 1/2 of the eggplant parm for home. When I asked the chef what vegetables were included in the veggie calzone he rattled off about 1/2 dozen vegetables and explained that he would do any combination. I told him to give me his "master mix" & I'm sure he did. It was early Friday evening & the restaurant was quite busy with both in-house and pickups but the dishes came out in 10 minutes or less. The waitress set our table and brought the food out to us and was very pleasant. For a massive $6 calzone & $6 eggplant parm sandwich (we could have ordered just 1 for the 2 of us) I don't take everything for granted so it was nice to see hot pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt, black pepper and garlic powder on every table, since I use them all. Most importantly though, the food was absolutely delicious. Everything from the warm crispy bread & calzone dough, ricotta/mozzy cheese, sauce and vegetables were. The eggplant was not breaded either, 'nice'. Coming from Wayne, which has over 35 Italian restaurants and where scenes from the Sopranos were shot, we've had our share of authentic Italian but still we were pleasantly surprised and it undeniably exceeded our expectations. If they opened a restaurant in little Italy Wayne I'm sure they would do very well. We'll definitely be back & a restaurant in the area like this makes us look forward to moving to Ledgewood even more than we already are. I'm sure we'll keep looking but I'd be amazed if this ISN'T the best pizza joint in the area. read more

Quality pizza joints are hard to find in this part of the state. I've lived in this area for over a decade and only found out about Delizia this year. Since I'm not a big fan of the Ledgewood Mall I never even heard of this place. While on a trip to the Bronx Zoo with my oldest son the topic of pizza came up with one of the dads. He could not shut up about how good this place was. He said the food was great and the people were really nice. That was enough for me to give it a try. Needless to say, this is now my go to pizza place. I don't eat in, I usually only take out. Not to say that eating in would be bad. The place itself is nice enough, it's just the mall that depresses me. The best part is, you can enter from the side and never step food inside the mall. It has a really big side area in the parking lot where the is that leads you right into Delizia. You can easily park your car there (illegally) for 2 minutes and run in if you wanted to. I only did that once during a massive downpour. Otherwise there's always a space in the row closest to the entrance. The pizza is very good and the sandwiches are too. If you live in the area and suffer from pizza envy of your friends East of us, don't sweat it. Give this place a try and I think you'll have a new happy place to satisfy your pizza cravings. My two complaints about this place...they don't accept American Express and they have one of those obnoxious signs that says $10 minimum charge. Any business that has that policy is very borderline breaking the law. They legally can't set a minimum charge. read more

I frequently get the cheesesteak pizza delivered on the weekend and although purists may criticize the toppings, it is the best non-plain pizza I have ever had. Also, yesterday I stopped by at around 10AM (Sunday morning) to see if they have raw dough for sale as I wanted to make a pizza at home for dinner. The guy behind the counter packed up a dough ball in a takeout container for me and wouldn't accept any money! Ordered 4 items from Delizia recently for delivery. Chicken Caesar wrap, stromboli, cappellini dinner, and a chicken murphy dinner. Delivery took about an hour, but the warm dishes were cold when they were dropped off. The stromboli was overdone, but did taste ok. My wife liked her wrap and the cappellini dinner, I wasn't happy with the chicken murphy. I expected a light wine sauce, potatoes, cherry peppers, etc. which is how I've had the dish in the past from multiple restaurants. It came in a red sauce, no potatoes, with jalapenos(?). Just a weird mishmash that wasn't good at all. The linguine that came with it was pretty good though. read more

Two employees behind the counter weren't wearing masks during covid19. In fact, one employee with long brunette hair was eating pasta behind the counter right next to the Buffalo chicken pizza. I was about to order some pies, but I quickly changed my mind after seeing such careless behavior in a pandemic. Disgusting. I get the grilled chicken parmigiana every single time. The quality of the sauce rivals that of a favorite Italian spot in NYC, but it's in my north Jersey neighborhood (YAY!) It smells so good in there everytime I go, but I'm just not a "pizza person". Tonight, while I was paying for my takeout meal, I saw a couple of the pizza's being prepared and they looked so good, I'm going to order the pizza next time. Again, you can't go wrong with any of their dishes that have that delicious grilled chicken in them. I wish I knew what they marinated it or season it with because it's out-of-this-world good. People are always friendly when I go there. It's a comfortable place to eat with a TV in case you want to watch the news or whatever they have on that day. We came here on a whim tonight and we were pleasantly surprised. I would have given it a 5 but the service was off, but I also think the waitress was new. For an appetizer we got the bruschetta. It was are large portion and think cut sliced bread. The topping had a ton of fresh flavor. I got gnocchi with vodka sauce and it came with a salad and garlic bread. All the portions were huge. The salad was big and I thought it was a dinner salad. My pasta I maybe ate a third and took the rest home. Garlic bread was so tasty and crunchy. My fiancé got a cheese steak and he said it was good, but he would ask for extra cheese next time. Again his sandwich was huge. Overall, portions are big and great tasting food. read more

My family and I have been coming to Delizias for years now, even back when they were in the Ledgewood Mall. Friday night is pizza night in my household and this is the go to. They do get quite busy and it gets a little hectic but I've never had a problem. It's a good problem for them and I'm glad other people love them as much as I do! I live in Rockaway but work in Ledgewood. I LOVE a great slice of pizza so I stop here once or twice a week for a slice. You rarely see a plain slice for 99 cents anywhere and let me tell, you it sure is worth it. The service was terrible. They don't even acknowledge you until they're certain you're ordering. I asked for a simple pizza and made it so hard. Also I had asked for some things on the side and the worker legit grabbed it with his HANDS! No gloves!! Then wiped his shirt. Disgusting. Cross contamination at its finest!!!
