If you told me a year ago that I'd become a huge fan of some place called the "Salad House" I probably would've laughed in your face and called you Crazy Lol. But yeah, it's the truth. In fact I'm the one who's actually Crazy. Crazy for this excellent chain that serves up incredibly fresh and flavorful customizable Salads, Soups, and Sandwiches on a daily basis.    Everything they put together always looks delicious but one of my all time favorite menu items here has gotta be their Buffalo Jack Salad which comes loaded with Buffalo Chicken Chunks, Pepper Jack Cheese, Romain Lettuce, Tomatoes, Croutons, and of course Bleu Cheese Dressing for the win. I've been ordering from them for six years. The food is excellent but in the last few weeks I've had four orders delivered that were missing part of the order. When I call they tell me that they'll credit my account because since they don't do their own deliveries they can't send me the correct items. They have not once credited my account. I've been really patient but I've reached the end. I can understand getting an order wrong once in a while but this is pretty much every time I order and there is no follow through with the promised credit. Ya know, I just don't think I'm a chopped salad person. I've tried chopped salads multiple times now and I just feel it becomes a big mush pile. I haven't been in this location in some time and I feel the kiosks are new. This I do like - you can spend time looking at the different toppings and dressings and such. That part is fun. I think I would have really liked my salad...if it wasn't chopped. I think there's an option to not chop the salad. I'll look more closely next time and try it out again. read more

I order deliver from here on a regular basis. I like the oh my gourd salad, thai rice bowl, harvest bowl. I really like the pumpkin bisque. We usually order the crispy brussels sprouts and cauliflower bites. We do occasionally order the falafel bites on the side. I did notice the portion sizes for the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower bites is smaller. read more

We placed a large catering order with Salad House for our office, totaling over $450. At the time of purchase, I provided full credit card information. A week later, someone from the restaurant called, claiming that the order had not been paid for. I politely explained that I would reach out to our company's rep to check the card statement and get back to them. Instead of handling the situation professionally or with basic courtesy, the staff was extremely rude and confrontational. There was absolutely no reason to speak to a customer in that manner, especially when I was trying to clarify the situation calmly and cooperatively. We will definitely not be ordering from Salad House again. Everyone makes mistakes, and if there was an issue with payment, there's a respectful way to address it. The lack of customer service and the tone they used was completely unacceptable. I don't recommend them for catering unless you're willing to risk being treated with disrespect. read more

I wanted something quick for lunch, so ordered from this take out spot. I ordered online the chipotle chicken wrap for about $14. When I arrived I parked nearby. I walked in and was greeted by an awesome staff! My food was ready and I left. The wrap was so big and when I ate it wasn't bad at all. It definitely was very filling. The salad was good and had everything I ordered. There was enough dressing, which I asked to have on the side through the online portal (and it was). The piece of salmon was larger than I expected, but I didn't understand why it wasn't sliced up until I broke it apart with my fork and it came into pieces very easily. The salad was a little pricier than I expected ($17) but the ingredients tasted fresh and it was filling. You can get your greens-forward salads here, but the menu seems to be more about serving you greens with your proteins, if you catch my meaning. While I've always been curious about their falafel salad, instead on my visits I've opted for the (grilled) chicken Caesar salad, whose shaved Parmesan and croutons added chew and crunch; and the backyard BBQ chicken, whose crisped onions, plentiful cheddar, ranch dressing, and barbecue sauce not only sent my taste buds yin-yanging but also probably nearly defeated the usual purpose of opting for a salad. Overall, I like the food, but I sort of demand a better experience in terms of the service at this location: (1) On a Tuesday around 2 PM, a steady stream of takeout guests flowed through the doors, and probably ~10 people were dining indoors or just outside. As order after order was called, ours never came, so eventually I started looking inside the unclaimed order bags to try to find my name. An employee asked me what I was doing, so I gave him my name, and he said that our order was about to come right up. We waited several more minutes until the employee realized that our order was one of the ones already made. He tried to say that he must have called the name while we were outside, but we were waiting indoors the whole time. (2) My guest bought a Mountain Dew Spark, and only after drinking it did he see that it had expired more than a month ago. I mean, it's a soda, but for a food establishment that's sloppy and probably against code. (3) My guest also saw one of the employees compress the waste in the garbage can with his hands (instead of, I don't know, taking out the trash) and then go back to working at the register. read more

The salads are so good and more importantly, the service was awesome. You could tell these guys were getting slammed with orders and they were still so kind and helpful. Someone had ordered my order for me, and I had trouble figuring out what name it was under, and it ended up being that the person just hadn't submitted the order yet, but the worker was super patient despite the busy lunch time. Salad was good, and huge portions I gave it a 3 because I ordered goat cheese (my favorite thing!!!) and didn't get it :( I also paid a few extra bucks for avocado and it was so hard, my fork snapped in half!! The only downside is that, even if you are eating in, they will not toss in your salad dressing for you unless you specifically ask for it. I guess they think everybody wants their dressing on the side, but the bowls are just big enough for the salad and you can't effectively toss it yourself. I didn't love it. The concept itself is what didn't do it for me, not necessarily the service or layout. They have standard salad ingredients sure but that's not enough especially if I'm paying over $18 for a salad, no sides, no drink. The blackened grilled chicken was fine but the corn seemed to come out of a can, the mushrooms are raw, and the arugula is not the springiest. I also ordered a blend of half arugula and half kale but only got arugula. So many places in morristown are such a disappointment. Very instagrammable but expensive and tasteless. read more

Stopped in here for lunch today and was super pleased. I've been wanting to go to one of The Salad House locations for a while and happened to finally be in the area. When we entered, you can see the location as being somewhere people who work around there would definitely stop and enjoy lunch, but with the pandemic there's only a few tables available for indoor seating. I ordered the Eat Cobb and I substituted the grilled chicken for crispy chicken. My boyfriend ordered the Fiesta Chix. The Eat Cobb was absolutely perfect because everything tasted really fresh. The salad is also a solid portion and you don't feel like you're getting skimped on anything. The salad leaves you feeling full and sated. All in all really great lunch. It looks like they do get a lot of online orders and delivery orders, so that's something to be aware of if ordering online! read more

Very clean chain restaurant with friendly and efficient staff. Chicken pastina soup was exactly what I needed on the first really cold fall day. Fit and fueled salad was a large portion with plenty of tomato carrots and quinoa mixed together beautifully , didn't love the chicken it was low quality in my opinion . Just took my wife for a quick salad at The Salad House and it was very good! We both did a "create your own" salad. There was a huge selection of toppings and dressings to go along with your protein of choice. The restaurant was also very clean and the staff very friendly. Although we stuck with salads only, there was also a large selection of sandwiches, wraps, and soups. Sometimes u just want something else....in fact the two young women next to us combined their healthy salads with some not so healthy sweet potato fries and they loved every bite. I'm having a really hard time writing this review because after eating a salad here, I got sick all night. I was not drinking, I felt fine beforehand, so I am contributing throwing up to the food. I ordered a make your own salad with grilled chicken. It's possible the chicken was bad, not fresh or not cooked properly. I got the champagne dressing which I did not like. 2.5 stars, but I'll round up since it's a new business, although I do have a few bones to pick. Lets just say I love the concept. Chopp'd is my jam. When I work in the NYC and need lunch, I without a doubt head to Chopp'd and I was hoping for a similar concept here. The concept is there, but the end product was completely different. For $11 I got a smallish, sad looking salad not filled with organic free range chicken and high end artisan ingredients, but just a regular, albeit tasty salad with dressing on the side. It was like a salad you get at the airport to-go counters (but this was actually good and fresh). It really wasn't anywhere worth the price tag. The Man Salad (which I also just didn't like the name of this at all) was chopped chicken cutlet, bacon, tomato and cheese. Am I a man because I was a little hungover and wanted to be indulgent? You can imagine what is on the ladies salad. I guess I'm no lady since egg whites and grapes don't cut it for me. I'm pretty sure that this isn't meant to be sexist, but it is. Regardless, the food. The Man Salad was tasty, but at $11, it was just overpriced and it just didn't have the quality or the value I'd look for when making a regular purchasing lunch decision. As I mentioned, I also ordered an indulgent salad with ingredients that make the salad good pretty much no matter what. I'm not confident that can be said of the salads without these delicious ingredients. In the end, if I was in a bind, in the area and wanted a quick and healthy lunch - yes, I'd return. The owner calls and said "its really hard during covid". Honestly, I was expecting something much better. I ordered two sandwiches (the Pesto CHX and the Caprese CHX) with a side order of fries. I haven't found my "go to" sandwich shop in Morristown and unfortunately the Salad house is not it. I'm sure the salads are a better option here, but for the sandwiches the ingredients are subpar, same quality you would find at a college cafeteria. Five stars for Salad House! Their Thai chili cauli bites are out of this world delicious. My kids and I love their hummus/veggie/pita platter!! And, their kale and bean soup is yum!
