For me this place has some of the best service in the fairfax area. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. I tried their limone pasta with sausage and it was incredible and filling. Paired that with a glass of moscato that is also divine. They refiled our waters multiple times, came to check in, and had pleasant conversation. What a treat to have dinner here for a family member's 80th birthday! Given the size of our party it was perfect to be able to take advantage of their wine room which allowed us a separate area to be in a more cozy space. The wine was delicious as well as the Expresso martini which was one of the best I've ever had. We started with a margarita pizza and calamari. Very good! For my main course I got the veal picatta which came with a side of pasta. It was so flavorful. I appreciated the pass the meals was served and the service was top notch. Super friendly staff and delicious food. They were open for Christmas Eve and we had a reservation for 7 and were seated in the back part of the restaurant. Love love love. If you are a pizza or pasta fan, check this place out. And do it on a Monday. Come before 6pm and you'll be able to take advantage of the Happy Hour specials (50% off pizzas - 50%!) and then place a pasta order after 6pm and the servers are nice enough to offer the $16 pasta night specials. We had the Margherita pizza that came out so fresh and warm that the cheese just keeps stretching with every bite. Funghi pizza was so good and the campana if you are a fan of burrata (but could've used more basil). Not everything off the pasta menu, but enough that you will not be disappointed. They had a limone pasta with capers (think chicken piccata without the chicken), pomodoro for simpler palates, spinach fettucine with veggies for those that prefer a primavera dish. Wish we could've tried the cacio e pepe and the bucatini with prosciutto. Next time! Also, Open Table for the win! Allows you to make a reservation, and there are plenty of metered/street parking in the nearby areas. A short walk from the Grove as well. I was shocked to see I haven't officially Yelped them yet because I always rave about this place. We were looking for pet friendly restaurants and found this place a few years back. I've come here for my dog's birthdays and on random afternoons and evenings over the years. The best part about bringing your furry kids here is that there is an outdoor outdoor section outside the restaurant but their actual "outdoor" patio almost seems indoor. The ambiance and not sitting out right next to traffic makes this place one of my top places to have a nice time out with my babies. I was here most recently last Monday with my roommate and my two dogs. We LOVE Mondays because it's $16 Pasta Mondays. We usually like to come by a little earlier for Happy Hour which is 3pm-6pm on weekdays and includes half off pizzas and (I think) a couple bucks off on some alcoholic beverages including wine. The pasta prices start at 6pm and they're the noodles are freshly made in house with great portions which is an absolute steal. Last Monday, just showed up for dinner and were greeted by the most wonderful server, Patricia. We've been served by her numerous times before and she's always extremely knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and friendly. Between her and Gregorio (Greggy), they are an absolute dream and you're guaranteed to have an amazing meal experience. The food is very reasonably priced (and cheap if you're there for happy hour) and delicious. You can tell they make things fresh and from scratch----down to their Caesar dressing that I'm obsessed with! Last week, we got some calamari and fries for the table. As a local to the Beverly Grove area, this restaurant is a hidden gem located conveniently across the street of the Grove and Erewhon. I visited once with a friend visiting from out of town, and the service and food was amazing. You can't go wrong with their steak or grilled salmon, which is chefs kiss one of my favorite go to meals in the city. The menu is a bit pricey, but it's worth it for the quality of Italian cuisine! read more

This was one of the few opened restaurants on Christmas Day. So I booked an Open Table reservation and drove down to this restaurant. Parking in this part of town can ver very difficult. They do offer valet parking for $10 cash. Luckily, since it was a holiday, I found street parking and the meter was free. We opted for indoor seating and the hostess walked us through a maze to get to our table. This place is deceiving and bigger than I'd imagine. We were seated in the last room of the restaurant with a bigger party that was just finishing up. Once they left, it was definitely lonely. We ordered the calamari and meatballs to start. The wife ordered a cocktail and I ordered a Diet Coke that was $4 for a small bottle. It's non-refillable. Our mains were the Limone & Linguanica. While waiting for our food, they brought out 2 biscuits that looked like they were from Pillsbury and cold butter. Not what I was expecting from a restaurant like this or any restaurant that was not called Lucille's. Would have been nice if the butter was served at room temperature instead of straight out from the fridge. We were not able to spread it without the biscuits crumbling. The calamari with the marinara was pretty good. The batter was light and crispy and seasoned well. The marinara tasted fresh with a slight sweetness. The meatballs app came with 4 small balls drenched in a garlic marinara sauce. The sauce was good, but the meatballs lacked seasoning and a little dry. The mains came out and they added a spoonful of parmesan cheese on top. I wish I would have tasted my Linguanica first before adding the cheese as I found my dish to be a bit salty. But not too salty where it's inedible. The Limone pasta was actually pretty good. Would have like ti to have had some kind of protein on it, but it was still good as it. Overall, the restaurant has great potential and I would consider returning. But make sure you make reservations as this place can definitely fill up. read more

I made a reservation at Della Terra for my wife's birthday, and I couldn't be happier with our experience! To start, the interior is charming and beautifully appointed, with a gorgeous bar that boasts an amazing wine display. They have an indoor/outdoor seating area with large windows that were open and made the space even that much more enjoyable for dinner. Next, the server was very attentive and sweet, which set the stage for the delicious food that was to come. They have one of the best lychee martinis that we've ever had, and the wine list has something for everyone. We ordered a variety of appetizers - from the delicious tuna tartare, the extremely flavorful meatballs, and shrimp apps, as well as the extremely fresh Caesar salad, everything was exactly how you would expect from such a wonderful place. Next we ordered the filet mignon brochette, the grilled shrimp brochette, and for our son, the Aglio Olio - all of which were cooked perfectly, and the homemade pasta tasting like we were dining in Italy. For desert we ordered the cheesecake, which was absolutely amazing. Made a reservation for 8 at 5pm on a Wednesday. Very easy to get a reservation for a party that big and they didn't even charge a per person rate if someone couldn't show up, as other places do. It's nice and rustic inside with brick walls, classy as well and pretty open with a decent amount of tables. We could hear ourselves talk which was great. Music was good upbeat pop music and not too loud and not too soft. Staff were really nice, they checked on us enough but also gave us plenty of time to chat. We arrived 4:30 and didn't leave until 9. There is no other place that lets you stay that long. It was so chill. Happy hour until 5 was good. $4 off drinks and 50% off pizzas. And then from 6-10 it was 50% off martinis. With the deal the pizzas were about $15 each which was a good price and what it really should be normally. The pizza is crispy with lots of cheese, the dough is buttery and the sauce is sweet. The margarita didn't have that much flavor. My fav was the campana that had the burrata on it. I also like the one with eggplant and broccoli rabe. The calamari app was very good, crispy and not chewy, and not sure how much they charged for it. The desserts were very good and affordable at $10 each. The marscapone cheesecake was super creamy and not too sweet. Also the fruit dessert was good, it was a lot of berries in a bowl that tasted sugar crystallized with lemon and whipped cream on the side. Very light but satisfying. That was probably my favorite dessert. we got the chocolate cake which takes 20 min to make. It was rich and very chocolatey, tasted like a cross between a soufflé and a lava cake. Great ambiance- I sat in the corner booth, which was comfortable. The decorations and sky-high wine wall keep the place nice. The private wine room is especially lovely. Service was nice, and checked up frequently. Food was good! First, complimentary endless bread! A definite win for the restaurant in my book, as this is uncommon these days. The tuna tartare appetizer was delicious. The spaghetti alle vongole was alright- it sounded light but ended up being pretty heavy due to the abundance of butter sauce mixed with the thick spaghetti noodles. I would like appreciated it more with linguine, a little less butter, and a touch of parsley. Though the server offered chili flakes, which certainly helped! The pizza was mediocre would be better if served on a screen rather then a plate to keep the crust crisp. Our server Patricia S. Was none existent, we were the only customers at a table she gave us the menu and went back to the bar chit chatting with another women at the bar that was working on a computer we were ready for the drink order but we waited 10 minutes for her to get back to us, she could totally see us but ignored us to continue her conversation at the bar. At the end we were ready for dessert, plates were empty sitting on the table 10-15 minutes my wife called across the room to get her attention and she sent another server to do her job, we complained to her and when Patricia S came over she said she had regulars she needed to attend too, my wife worked in the industry and worked 10-15 tabs at once this women couldnt even handle two. We love a great brunch. Y'all! This restaurant is lowkey, delicious and very cozy. My family and I wanted to celebrate my Nana's birthday so my aunt planned a birthday brunch. The food!! The service!! I highly recommend everyone go eat here. We had , so many dishes . Varied from bacon, eggs, waffles, French toast, steak and eggs , shrimp pasta , seafood pasta, short rib pasta and a crepe . They also have bottomless mimosas, Bellini and straight champagne. They also sung my nana happy birthday and she absolutely loved it.! Lastly, the parking is tight but after a couple laps you will get lucky. There's meter parking on the street . (Be careful of the permit parking) . One of the guest did bring to my attention that the servers were reaching over her and her plate and she felt uncomfortable and worried something may fall in her plate. Overall, 5 star rating . I've been a loyal customer of Della Terra on Beverly for many years, spending hundreds of dollars a month at the restaurant out of convenience, and because the wait staff has been hardworking and kind. The food itself is honestly just OK, but I kept coming back because it was easy and the service staff made it worthwhile. After this experience, I will never set foot in this restaurant again. I arrived at 5:25pm on Monday, aware of the Monday pasta special that starts at 6:00 p.m. However, I was seated between two tables that had clearly already ordered from the pasta special menu well before 6p; they were finishing their meals when I sat down. I even confirmed with them that they'd ordered from that specific menu. When I asked the owner if I could order from the same menu I was told no. The explanation I was given made even less sense. I was told I could not have the special because he had just told another table they couldn't order from it until 6p. Meanwhile, again, the two tables directly at my right and left had already been allowed to order from that exact menu earlier. So which is it? You can't enforce a rule selectively and expect customers not to notice. The table next to me felt bad, because they knew they had not been treated the same way. I must say it was nice that they noticed and acknowledged the unfair treatment. I didn't feel so alone in the uncomfortable situation. What made this worse was his dismissive tone. As a long time customer, I have never been greeted warmly or sincerely thanked by the owner despite consistently supporting his business. He's there almost daily so he has seen me a hundred times over the years. Let me be clear, they've lost a loyal customer. I will not be returning and I will not be referring anyone else; no out of town guests, family, friends, clients or colleagues. If you're going to have policies, apply them consistently. And if you value your customers, treat ALL of them like they're appreciated. read more

I will preface that this was Christmas Day so I understand they were likely short staffed, but it's not like they opened on Christmas Day without knowing this. This is an expensive restaurant in West Hollywood, but it really felt like it was run by amateurs - they were completely unprepared for the day and really overbooked themselves. They also just kept making little mistakes that definitely were not helping. The host would seat people and forget the menus, so she'd have to go back and grab the menus, and it felt like she had no idea how to use her ipad's seating/reservation software. If you know you'll be slammed and you know you'll be understaffed, don't take so many reservations! We had an 8:15pm reservation that we rushed to make, but when we got there, they said our table was not ready yet. Fine, we thought maybe a few minutes, it was a reservation after all. We waited about 30 minutes before we asked where we were on the list. The host stared at her ipad for so long before she could answer that question. But anyway - we finally get seated after ~45 minutes despite having a reservation. Having waited so long, we looked quickly at the menus and knew what we wanted almost immediately, so we waited for a waiter to come around and take the order. We waited 20 minutes before we were able to flag someone down. Right after we finished ordering, he told us that the kitchen was busy and that the appetizers were currently at a minimum 1 hour wait... we ordered a cold carpaccio. So it would've been 10:30pm before we got food, and they're pretty terrible at estimating time, so it'd probably be closer to 11, so we left and got tacos at a street vendor. Much better experience. It felt very much like the restaurant saw dollar signs in their eyes and just took every reservation they could possibly take without knowing the limits of their staff and their kitchen to handle the volume. read more

I stopped by last night because it was National Pizza Day and I remember walking by and noticing they advertised 50% off pizzas for happy hour, so I figured it was finally my excuse to try Della Terra! First of all the fresh bread and oil with herbs that we were served when we sat down was great. The happy hour deal also included $4 off cocktails and wine. The cocktails looked very overpriced for what they were (average of $20 for typical drinks) so I went for a glass of wine. When it came to pizza, I ordered the Funghi (mushroom, Nicoise olives, garlic and herbs). The crust was tasty, but the rest of the pizza fell flat. It tasted like jarred pizza sauce with regular shredded cheese, mushrooms, and olives straight from a can. Disappointed to say the least. It was totally fine for the happy hour price, but if I had paid in full I would've been much more unhappy. read more

What a great find within a sea of options for well rated Italian restaurants! Parking is a bit challenging so we did valet to avoid being late for our reservation and frustrated with driving in circles. We sat in the patio area where we could enjoy the open air but not bee on the street with the traffic. We opted for doing our own family style meal with a few choices from each section of the menu. Everything was delicious from the bread and dipping oil that starts the meal through the main dishes. Sadly no room for dessert and a lot of leftovers. Very nice servers and wait staff.
