This place is always bustling, and after eating here I understand why! We were hoping to try the sea urchin linguini, but didn't see it on the menu - we asked our server who informed us that in fact we would be able to order it! Apparently they don't put it on their printed menu if there isn't enough uni, but they happened to have some that they could make us, what a lucky break! This dish was the highlight of the night - perfect mix of salty, creamy, and slightly spicy deliciousness. Our other dishes were also good (the octopus salad is especially good if you are a fan of octopus). I also really enjoyed the ambiance. It is busy and bustling, with high ceilings so it does not feel so cramped. Our server was helpful, and our plates were refreshed between courses. Really nice place for an elevated weeknight meal or for a special occasion!

Sooo happy we finally made it here and I already can't wait to come back! This has been on our list forever, and we ended up coming for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The ambiance was just okay. Inside is loud, crowded, and honestly a little suffocating. Outside isn't much better with all the street noise and traffic. The courtyard is probably your best bet, but even that isn't the most charming setting. Service, on the other hand, was wonderful. Everyone was so attentive, warm, and on top of everything, which really elevated the experience. Now the food... delicious. The pasta especially is on a whole other level for Los Angeles. We started with the carpaccio, which had great quality beef and cheese, but it lacked a bit of flavor. It needed more salt or maybe an aioli to bring it together. The octopus was good, but again, slightly under-seasoned. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying it, but it's more of a one-time order for me. The limone pasta was superb. The homemade pasta quality is next level and honestly one of the closest things in LA to what you'd get in Italy. The branzino was also very, very good. Surprisingly, even that needed a bit more salt, which is funny considering it's baked in a salt crust. Personally, I still prefer the Greek-style preparation, but this is definitely up there as one of the best in LA. The mashed potatoes and vegetables on the side were cooked perfectly. Overall, I can't wait to come back and try more, especially the pastas, lasagna, pizza, and beef tartare. Definitely worth a visit!

Super friendly service and great atmosphere to be. The food speaks for itself. Italian food done well and elevated. Vodka Pasta sauce is creamy and pairs so well with the shrimp they recommended. So many great appetizers to try and share. Pizza crust thin and doesn't feel heavy after eating. Great spot for dinner or bigger group hangs

Ever since my first time here I am still a firm believer that this is one of the best Italians restaurants in LA and my opinion still holds true. I come here often and every time I am so happy and satisfied with the food. Absolutely delicious. My go to order is the lemon pasta, whenever I have a craving for this dish I simply cannot itch it unless I come back and get it. Such a simple and consistently amazing place!

Came in for lunch on New Year's Day. We made a reservation through OpenTable sapphire reserve, the cozy window table was perfect. The menu was huge with a lot of appetizers. Table bread snack was so yummy and the chef's fish app was delicious as well. We had sparkling water and green tea as beverages. We decided on organic chicken Caesar salad, vegetable soup, spicy penne pasta and lasagna. Also tiramisu to go. I can see why this is an icon Italian restaurant, the food was so yummy especially the pasta. It had to be the best pasta I'v ever had. Too bad I wasn't feeling well enough to finish the amazing meal. (Too much champagne on NYE!) We had to have everything packed to go. The service was so fast and friendly the entire time! We will definitely come back to try more dishes and finish everything! Ps. Valet in front of restaurant.

TL;DR: An authentic Italian spot with a great outdoor patio and incredible desserts, especially the standout panna cotta. The indoor seating is super cramped and the steak doneness was inconsistent, but the tall ceilings keep the noise down so you can actually hear your group talk. Angelini Osteria has a very traditional Italian feel to it, especially if you sit on the outside patio. We had a big party of eight, and while they accommodated us, they jammed us inside where the seating arrangement makes you feel like sardines. The outside area is definitely prettier and has heaters, so I'd highly recommend sitting out there. Surprisingly though, the inside has immensely tall ceilings that really help with the noise levels, and they don't blast music, so we could actually enjoy our meal without getting overwhelmed. The food started off strong with the bread and the dip they serve it with. For appetizers, we got two salads, but the chopped salad was just okay and I wouldn't get it again. Moving on to the entrees, the spicy pizza was pleasant and the cheese was so perfectly melted that it fell right off the slice. The lasagna was also really well-crafted with great, savory meat flavors. We ordered a total of four ribeyes for the table, and while the meat was good, the kitchen struggled a bit with consistency--some of the mediums came out looking more like medium-well or rare. The absolute best part of the night was the desserts. The tiramisu had a great, strong coffee flavor, and the crème brûlée was a brilliant twist with a touch of sea salt flakes on top for a delicious sweet and salty hint. My absolute favorite, though, was the panna cotta. It was incredible, with a perfect jello-like texture that wasn't too sweet at all. The staff was nice enough, though they didn't smile much with our group but they refilled out waters very consistently which is always nice. Overall, the ambiance was nice and the desserts alone make it worth a return visit. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other top items--I'll just make sure to sit outside next time!

Seafood pasta. Shrimp. Clams. Muscles. Some other stuff. It was very very good. Well prepared & tasteful.

Server was a very nice gentleman. All seemed to have either Italian accents or very well schooled in all things Italian food. I mean it's LA/Hollywood, so the prices were fair but pricey. Not overly. The pasta you can tell is made on site fresh. The seafood was fresh & well prepared. The bread type things were really good. The ambiance was great. We sat outside under an awning or cover of some sort. Deco was great. Food was way above par. Drink selections were infinite.

These thoughts are fresh on my brain as I went just this past weekend. My friend had originally made a reservation about a week ago for 2, but was able to +2 a couple of hours before dinner. We got seated within a couple of minutes outside by the entrance. Appetizers: -Margherita pizza: tasted fresh, would order a pizza again based on this. Maybe try another one next time. -Artichoke: I don't eat artichokes much, but this one was delicious -Some basic salad (lettuce and tomatoes): not sure what my friend ordered. Good, but probably wouldn't order again Main: -Whole branzino w/ mashed: it was okay -Pastas: Ordered some penne and Homemade something something with all sorts of seafood. Both were REALLY good. It was perfectly al dente. Dessert: -Tirimisu: pretty good -Affagato: top notch -Bread pudding thing: 8/10

Angeleni Osteria was a hit-miss experience. First, the parking was just bad: There's a valet option but it seemed cumbersome when I pulled up. So I just parked off a residential street and hoped not to get a ticket. Once inside, it's your typical LA upscale osteria except they tried to fit way too many tables into such a tight space. And dining al fresco subjects you to Beverly Blvd. I went early on a weekday evening before attending an artist reception at a gallery nearby, and despite not being busy at all, the service was inattentive and slow. But the food was quite good. The octopus with arugula was light yet flavorful. The tagliatelle Bolognese was excellent. They make some of the best homemade pasta in LA. And the lamb chops were a good reason to eat here for dinner, as they're not offered for lunch. The meal was good but pricey. If it wasn't for my AmEx Resy credit, I'd consider it overpriced. But given the overall experience, I can't say Angelini Osteria is a good value.

Highlights: seafood risotto, lasagna, truffle pasta, octopus salad, panna cotta Angelini Osteria is truly one of those rare places that never changes. I've been coming here for over a decade, and it's just as delicious now as it was ten years ago. The flavors are incredibly authentic and comforting. The seafood risotto and lasagna are absolute standouts. The risotto is rich, flavorful, and packed with fresh seafood. The lasagna is layered to perfection. It is creamy, cheesy, and just melts in your mouth. A timeless LA gem.

Oh my goodness--Angelini Osteria where do I even begin? This restaurant is hands down my favorite authentic Italian spot in Cali. I love traveling and experiencing incredible food, and this place truly transports me to Italy every time I walk through the door. The service is exceptional, and the head chef is absolutely amazing--his attention to detail is unmatched. The quality of each dish is unbelievable; every plate looks like a work of art and tastes heavenly. And the ambiance? Just like I said, the moment I arrive, I feel like I'm in Italy. A solid 10/10--highly recommended.

This is the delicious triangle of excellence in food, service, and ambiance. We came here for the first time today and we'll be back many times. We were blown away by grilled octopus salad, pumpkin butternut squash tortelli, and green lasagna. Only Oste compares which means that this equal to or better than any Italian in the city. This food is worth every penny and nose with so much love and taste. Thanks so much for this wonderful experience. Real Italian from real Italians, like Marcello our excellent waiter who made us feel incredibly welcome and as though we were at his house in Italy.

    Deep fried zucchini flowers

I've heard such great things about this LA staple but unfortunately it was disappointing. Majority of dishes were pretty tasteless and bland. Portions were small and expensive. They have a parking lot in the back which is nice. Restaurant was pretty empty for lunch on a Sunday. The two dishes I liked were the zucchini flowers and the octopus. The zucchini flowers were generously filled, crispy, and came with a delectable tomato sauce. The octopus was soft, tender, and seasoned well. After this is when things went downhill. The meatballs were average, not much to say. The soup was on the sweeter side but warm and hearty. The pizza was bad. Flavorless and soggy. Very sparse with the toppings too. The tagliolini limone was a measly handful. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente but the sauce was very sour and one-note. The lasagna verde was the tiniest little square and needed a lot more salt. I did like the crispy spinach leaves for extra texture.

    Is there valet parking?

    Yes, there is valet parking.

    What are the vegan options?

They can make you a vegan pasta. They also have this amazing blueberry cake that you wouldn't believe is vegan. They have such amazing service that they'll make a vegan option for you to enjoy the experience.

Bar area seating for solo diners?

There is a bar area in theory, but it looks like that area is being used for storage now, and no one is being seated there. When I came in as a solo diner, the bar was not an option; only a two-top was offered.

    What the parking like?

There is Valet parking drop off in front of the restaurant. And there is metered parking on Beverly Blvd & limited metered parking on the side streets.

Is the restaurant dog friendly (small dog)?

I'm sure I have seen dogs there,

Do they have gluten free pasta?

    Yes

    Do they serve Lampredotto?

    Yes. Call them for fee.

Jeans are perfectly fine! The dress code is casual
