We asked for a quick wipe down and the server acted as if he was too good to wipe a table. He took forever to get a rag, over dramatically wiped the table, stormed off to put the rag back and took forever to return. He had a smug attitude when we asked a few questions about the menu items. The most forced fakest smile as we thanked him for answering question and taking our order. He forgot half our menu items, Never returned. Both my friend and I had to get up, walk to the bar to get some help. We sat so long for our order to be corrected, our food got cold. The food was disgusting, unoriginal and way way way over priced. But the way we were treated was the worst part. I've never seen a server SOOOO put out by being asked to wipe a table and answer some questions. It's disappointing to see this place in such poor condition because it has so much potential. The restaurant feels run-down, the sofas and pillows inside looked dirty and poorly maintained, and it was honestly unpleasant to sit there. It also seemed like there was very little management oversight, with employees doing whatever they wanted. Restrooms were also dirty first thing in the morning... The food wasn't bad, but the lack of cleanliness in the dining area made me wonder about the condition of the kitchen. Zinqué has the potential to be a great spot, but it really needs better management and much higher standards of cleanliness. read more

Nice combination of indoor and outdoor seating, all shaded and spaced nicely so it's not loud. The indoor areas are also open and airy. I went there for lunch. I have the grass-fed burger. $21. It came with an abundance of shoestring fries that were perfectly cooked. The burger was nice and juicy, the bun properly warmed, and the special sauce they use has the perfect amount of snap. Great burger approved! Our food orders came out to us in no time at all. Can't believe how fast they were and what great care they put into the food. I'm not a coffee snob or expert in any way, but this is the best iced latte I've ever had! Great presentation, too! I'm not sure what brand of coffee it is, but it's a specialty brand, and it's a good one! Service was OK. Our server took our orders and was very pleasant, but didn't come back to check on us. Thought this was a solid lunch spot. Went with my cousins to catch up over some French food. Food was good, not spectacular. I would come back to enjoy the patio area again. It wasn't too busy during lunchtime when we went and I enjoyed the outdoor experience. Parking is a bit rough to find though, as expected. Steak and frites, 8.3/10: Classic dish. The sirloin (I think) was very tender and was cooked appropriately medium-midrare. You can see in the photo it's got a nice sear and it was seasoned nicely. I particularly liked the herbacious chimichurri sauce paired with the steak. Fries were mcdonald's-esque in a good way, but slightly less greasy and more fresh. We had the Saffron Rice Bites and Rigatoni Bolognese, and both dishes were great! The Saffron Rice Bites had ahi tuna, spicy mayo, avocado, jalapeño, and smoked trout roe. The highlight was definitely the crispy saffron rice underneath, which had a perfect crunch that complemented the fresh ingredients. Each bite was a delightful mix of flavors and textures, making it a standout dish. As for the Rigatoni Bolognese, it was a hearty and rich option made with grass-fed beef and topped with grated Parmigiano Reggiano; we asked for extra cheese. We dove into it so quickly that I forgot to snap a photo! The flavors were robust and comforting, making it an ideal choice for a chilly day. Speaking of the weather, the staff was incredibly attentive. When we mentioned feeling a bit cold, they promptly switched out a propane tank to make sure we were cozy. We had lunch today after watching parade. We started with fresh brewed coffee and mimosas, which were a great way to begin the meal. We both ordered the Steak Frites cooked medium rare, and they were excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The fries were crispy and delicious, especially when paired with the chimichurri sauce, which added the perfect amount of freshness and flavor. We chose to sit outside with our dog and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and provided great service throughout the meal. The only downside was an interaction with the hostess. It was a warm day, and I briefly had my dog sitting on my lap while trying to help him cool down. She came to our table and rather abruptly told me to put my dog back on the floor. While I understand restaurant policies must be followed, the situation could have been handled in a much friendlier and more professional manner without being rude and giving an attitude. That said, the food was excellent, the patio was enjoyable, and our waiter helped make the experience a positive one. We'd definitely come back for the Steak Frites alone! read more

Beautiful spot! As many times as I've driven by, I've always missed coming here until September 2025 meeting a friend for lunch! Parking as you can imagine, is tricky so park for free from 7-7pm on San Vicente. It's the first business around the corner. Beautiful patio, gorgeous ambiance and our waiter was the sweetest: we never felt rushed or anything. Just so easy going as my friend and I caught up for two hours! I had the Baklava latte which was ok. Maybe I expected more flavor, but I tasted like...a latte, ha! It's ok, I love them. I know plate portions could be small and this was my first meal of the day so I needed something sustainable and the Quinoa Burrito with bacon hit the spot. There was even a certain sweetness to it that I am obsessed with! Definitely worth coming back for. I'd definitely brave the parking to come back. With a heavy heart, I am writing this review. My family and I have been coming here for years. We have always loved the food and the staff, which makes today's experience especially disappointing. Perhaps the management has changed, or perhaps the staff no longer understands what hospitality truly means. Either way, what took place today was highly unprofessional. In the hospitality industry, a poor hostess and an unprofessional manager cause a restaurant to lose loyal customers, one by one. There were four of us, including my 80 year old father. The DJ was playing loudly, so we politely asked the hostess if we could be seated in the corner, away from the music. She firmly replied that it was absolutely not possible because those two tables needed to remain available for upcoming reservations of two people. We politely asked if she could check with the manager. She went to speak with him, returned, and again told us no. While we were still waiting, another party of four arrived and was seated at those exact tables after they were pushed together. I approached the manager and asked why this had happened. He explained that the other guests had been seated elsewhere first, but because the music was too loud for them, they were moved. I asked why an exception was made for them while our identical request had been denied. His response was, "I have never seen you here." That answer was both irrelevant and unprofessional. Whether someone is a first time guest or a loyal customer, everyone deserves to be treated with the same level of respect and fairness especially with elderly person present. The entire situation was handled poorly by both the hostess and the manager. After years of enjoying this restaurant, it is incredibly disappointing to leave feeling dismissed and unwelcome. This is based off a door dash order. Typically, delivery lessens the overall temp, flavor, etc by the time it reaches your door. But everything i had was fantastic. I ordered 1) steak frites, 2) japanese sweet potato, 3) proscuitto burratta. The steak temp obviously is impacted by delivery. Yet still tender n the fries were good. Probably wouldnt order delivery of this again though. Its a thing you should only eat at the restaurant. Now on to the goodies. The japanese sweet potatoes on a bed of sour cream olive oil and some tyoe of nuts (maybe pine nuts?). Super super good. The proscuitto n burratta is something i order from everywhere, but their proscuitto had really good umami and the cheese was super soft and good. It must be imported. Awesome. This place was the haven I was searching for this Memorial Day weekend. I came here yesterday with my husband on a whim and it had the perfect amount of buzz of people swirling around to create a synergetic vibe but not too overcrowded where you'd have to wait 45 minutes for a table. We hit seated right away and got our food fairly quickly. My quinoa salad dish with added salmon was clean, healthy, and so delicious. In this instance we wanted a quick latte and croissant (chocolate, the only one left on a late afternoon), just to tide us over before dinner. Another time we will come here for brunch. (The name puzzles me a bit. I get the Parisian zinc tables allusion, but the translation here is literally "zink-ed", or "zinc-plated". Awkward. I might instead call it Zinque, if I were the owners. Just saying.) So, in sum, Zinqué is a bar/restaurant that also serves coffee and baked goods. Our server's name was Carol, who greeted us as soon as we walked in and provided excellent attention, our order taken and filled quickly. The latte came with whole milk and was good, and the croissant was good as well. All in all, this is a reliable, pleasant, affordable spot in the midst of a rather pricey neighborhood. The room holds around 20+ and is very roomy with plenty of natural light. We thought it was perfect. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I heard of no complaints. I had the breakfast scramble; with bacon and grain toast. I also ordered a side of fries and shared with friends near me. My breakfast was warm and very tasty. No complaints from me. The service from Christian and Camille was very good and attentive for a large party. We were able to pay separately which was helpful. Most restaurants now use the "Toast" system (I believe that's what it's called) where the server can take your order and process individual billing at the table. read more

I've been to this location a few times and a couple of their other locations in the past. It's always busy, so lots of turnover means the food is fresh. Service at the WeHo location is definitely the friendliest. They didn't mind that my little group was so chatty it took 20+ minutes for us to finally look at the menu and order. Everyone liked what they ordered; however, only reason I gave them 3 stars, instead of 4, is because the portion size of the smoked salmon toast for $19 (which was very tasty) was really skimpy. 1 slice of toast, a thin schemer of whipped cream-cheese and two slivers of smoked salmon, with a couple slices of pickled red onion and a few capers was minimal relative to the price. My friends burger and fries for $20 was a significantly better deal. Black coffee was really smooth, not bitter or acidic, matcha had a lot of flavor. Tried Zinqué for the first time for a friend's birthday dinner, and I'm glad to say it did not disappoint! We really enjoyed the drinks, I ordered the PassionSol, which I highly recommend if you love fruity cocktails. The appetizers were delicious and perfect for sharing with the group. For my main dish, I had the prawn and pork belly tacos. The pork belly taco was great, but the prawn taco was just okay. It lacked flavor and the tortilla was a bit dry, which is why I took off one star. Our server, Beric, was amazing! Beric was super attentive, friendly, and made sure we were having a great time throughout the night. The interior was beautiful, very clean, and full of cute photo spots. We have been patronizing Zinque in Century City since it opened several years ago as we live 10 minutes away and it is easy to access from where we are. We usually go there for breakfast on Sunday mornings or for lunch on weekdays and sometimes on weekends. Generally, our experience there has been pleasant, even though the food has had its ups and downs over the years. On some occasions, we placed our order at the counter and on some occasions, there was table service. We had a very unpleasant experience at Zinque Century City today (Labor Day) and we are unlikely to ever return there again. When we arrived at about noon, we saw that the restaurant had a sign requesting that we place our order at the counter before sitting down. We got in line, and the line was not long. The restaurant was not full either. A waiter came up to us and told everyone in line that we could sit down first and scan the bar code on the table and order our food that way. We did as he suggested. We ordered using the app, gave a 20% tip and waited for about twenty minutes. One of my sons then approached the same waiter from earlier and asked him when we could expect our food. He told my son it was on the way and then he asked my son a condescending question if this was his first visit to Zinque. My son said "no" and returned to the table. After a few minutes the same waiter came up to our table, and in a less than friendly way said that we had to realize that our order had to take its turn since we were in line with orders made online through Uber Eats and other delivery apps in addition to other dine-in customers. We were taken aback, since this was a novel way to treat dine-in customers who were expected to tip their staff somewhere between 20% and 25% (as indicated in the app.) The waiter then offered to refund our money if we were unhappy with the wait. We declined the refund and said we would wait, though we did express that we were rather unhappy with how they prioritized their orders. We waited another ten minutes, bringing our wait for food to 30 minutes. I went up to the same waiter and asked if our priority in the queue would have been different if we had ordered at the counter instead of using the barcode. He said that there would be no difference. And he again reiterated that we had to understand that the dine-in queue and the online ordering queue was one single one, and we had to take our turn. So, we asked for a refund. And it turned out that despite his earlier offer to make a refund; he had no ability to process the refund for us. He gave us his manager's email address written on the back of a discarded bill and told us to request a refund by email. In the meantime, our food came out of the kitchen. We decided to take it "to-go" and eat it in the food court instead. We threw away the piece of paper with the manager's email on it. I had ordered the broccoli curry soup, and my first taste of it told me that it had clearly gone "off". It had a bad aftertaste. So, I took the soup back to the restaurant and requested the manager's email from the same waiter. I also asked to borrow a set of metal silverware as my son had ordered the steak frites, and it was hard to cut through the steak with a plastic knife. At this point, a waitress decided to interject herself into the conversation and told me that they were only employees there and they could not oblige me by lending me a set of silverware, even though I said I would return it once we were done. The waiter I had been dealing with then suggested that we return to the restaurant and eat our food there so that we could have proper silverware. He made no offer to make good on the bad soup. Instead, as I started to leave, he asked me if I wanted to take the soup with me. This was appalling since I had been clear that the soup had gone bad. So, I sarcastically suggested that he could eat the soup. The waitress then interjected again and told me to leave and that I should be nice to them. I said I had left already and she told me to never come back I can only conclude from this very bad experience that Zinque's management does not train their staff, and they certainly don't value their customers. My advice to anyone who orders at the counter or uses the barcode to place an order is to withhold the tip until you see what the service is like. We left a 20% tip at the time we placed the order, and it is probably the most undeserved tip I have ever made. We will never return to Zinque and it is probably not a great loss given the plethora of restaurants in LA. read more

The worst service that I've gotten in recent memory. While I love the food and I've been here many times- my recent trip was dismal . I invited two friends from out of town because I really love the food and I talked this place up a lot. We ordered in the appetizer and three mains. The mains were salmon, steak frites and 1/2 bahn mi . One of the mains came out after about 20 minutes- the salmon. 20 minutes later we got the appetizer which was one of tartines. Tuna tartar. Still no sign of the other mains. Almost a full hour after we put our order in the half Banmi came out. We were still waiting on the steak frites. Which came out probably 15 minutes later. Our plan was to share out the mains and such. I think the food was all pretty good. I thought the salmon was actually outstanding. The person that ordered the steak frites was disappointed. Fries not hot , steak temp was warm at best. Our server never came to check on us. We had to flag her down and flag down the wait staff who was serving water to ask where our food was.- more than once! Only when we were ready to cash out did our waitress come by. Our complaints were met with a statement of "we are busy.". Which is absolute and utter horseshit. Tables around us got served ate their food and left before we even got our second main. The final resolution that our server offered us was 20% off one dish. I'm beyond furious.. and it will be a while before I return. It's embarrassing and I'm sorry that I invited my friends here.
