They recommended that I go to Big Al's on Constance (Suffolk, VA). I took it there, and the manager (Pat) said he couldn't get to it until Monday (11/17/25). I decided to drop it off on Saturday (11/15/25) so I didn't have to push my ket through the drop slot on Sunday. I received a call on Monday afternoon from Pat. He asked, "You dropped it off for an exhaust leak, right?" I told him that's what was suggested to me by another shop (based on the sound). He said that my air flow sensor had come loose, and they tightened it up and all is well. When I went to pick it up, we both just shook our heads, as he handed me my key. (NO CHARGE) He asked if I had (an amount) in my pocket, and if so, could I give it to the young mechanic in the garage! YES I DO! And so I did! Unfortunately, I can't speak to the quality of work this location provides, but I can speak to their integrity! He could have easily taken my word, and replaced parts on my vehicle (or claimed to have), billed me, and laughed as soon as I was out of sight! But he didn't! Not only is this a 24 hour Wal-Mart Superstore it is located right next to Sam's Club and Chesapeake Square Mall as well as other shopping. I needed an oil change and didn't want to go thru the hassle of making an appointment at the dealership and waiting forever while my car is serviced! Wal-Mart did me right yesterday. While they did not have exactly what I need they were able to provide an alternative. Good to know for future visits! The gentleman, Marquis (spelling may be inaccurate) assisted me within seconds of walking into the Auto Center. After telling him what service I needed, he was most helpful in providing top notch customer service. The center seems a bit shorthanded, but everyone that entered and exited I saw was treated fairly and within a reasonable time frame. There is a waiting area for customers with seats and a television. The TV was a bit challenged. I guess there antenna signal wasn't too strong. The TV was going in and out in and out. Overall, I suggest you check out this Auto Center and see how they can accommodate your vehicle needs. Have fun and enjoy life :)

I managed to switch it to the spare and called Tire Choice on Western Branch Blvd to see if they could patch it. I was able to walk in, and while there was a bit of a wait, they efficiently got me in and patched the tire. Ryan, Austin, and Dennis were all incredibly helpful throughout the process--I can't say enough good things about them. The cost was only $25.89, and they not only patched the tire, but also removed my spare and put the repaired tire back on for me. The waiting area had comfortable chairs and a TV, which made the wait more bearable. I'm especially grateful that they are open on Sundays, as most other tire shops are closed. I highly recommend Tire Choice if you ever need a tire patched!

These guys are crooks. Stay away…read more Took my car in because I was having trouble getting the serpentine belt back on my CR-V after changing the alternator. They said it needed a new tensioner. That didn't really agree with what I saw, but I figured the car's an 07, a new tensioner wouldn't hurt. They charged $227.51 in parts for the tensioner, which is at least double the going rate for that part. Also $255 in labor. The thing mounts with 3 bolts. Make it 6 bolts since you probably need to take out the power steering pump. I'm sure they decided to maximize labor by unnecessarily taking out the engine mount, way to think outside the box there. Not only that, they charged $158 for the belt itself. A serpentine belt for that car is, at most, $50. Takes 5 minutes to put on as long as you've got the right tool. I get that the idea here is to make a profit, but this is straight up gouging. I pointed it out to the guy running the desk and he helpfully reminded me that I couldn't get the belt back on myself. It's fine. They clearly need the money more than I do. This had become my go-to shop for our two cars, but I won't be coming back now. I hope they make that $750 last.
