And we got cheap ice cream cones afterward) The interior looked the same. Bright bold colors with a rustic wooden theme throughout. Many tables inside could hold groups of 2-3, groups of 4, and groups of 6 or more. They even had seating outdoors! It's a big restaurant which filled up fast when we went. They even had a small section upon entering where there was a miniature "arcade," basically a few games. I think you needed to put money in though. Upon walking through the front doors, we were greeted with a sign to wait to be seated. And there was a decent-sized bar in front too. The vibes in here were really nice, I LOVEDD the fact they played Daughtry! Such a throwback. And I'm thinking if they play this band, they ought to play Linkin Park, and maybeee in the future~ Nothing But Thieves??? The blonde lady sat us down with the menus and the guy behind the bar came forward to take our orders. (This was our first meal of the day--) We told him our order and he mentions, it's a LOT of food. And kindly mentioned what we could do to still include the onion rings and not get the full serving of 12 pieces since they are MASSIVE. I'm honestly glad he said that because when those onion rings came out-- I had to cut them into three pieces and only ate a total of 2 out of the 6, I think. The rings were two inches thick and so wide, they just looked unreal. I've never seen an onion as big as those slices were. The service here was really great! The server checked up on us seeing how the food was, if we wanted water refills, etc. I ordered the party fowl sandwich again but with the spicy BBQ and a side of coleslaw. The party fowl is a 2 chicken tender sandwich. The chicken tenders were big! I could have just gone with one. I liked the pickles on the sandwich although I wish it was a thicker cut and that they didn't add the mustard seeds to the bun (textural thing, I don't like mustard seeds). The spicy BBQ was amazing! Spicy but still had the BBQ flavor. I think this sandwich could be shared between two people! Also, the coleslaw had an overpowering flavor of carrots and was a bit too sweet for me. I recommend adding the hot sauce they have available in the bins and then adding it to the chicken sandwich. To share, my brother and I ordered an appetizer of 'BBQ Loaded Fries' which were topped with pickled red onions and jalapenos. We weren't big fans of those toppings but it sure did make the tray look very appetizing. I think that it was the perfect amount of fries and pulled pork, the queso sauce was incredible and so smooth! I loved that it wasn't a yellow queso but a white one. My brother ordered the 'Q Burger' and absolutely demolished it. It had: pulled pork, American cheese, onion strings, bbq, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. Overall, a delicious lunch! I'd come here with a big group next time. And try one of the sodas/desserts. The quantity that you get is really massive so next time I'd get one or two things and share it. Tried Del's Hideout this past weekend and was glad I did. Met with friends who have toddlers and it was ideal that we chose this spot. Easily accessible from the freeway, a good amount of parking and tons of room for kids to play. With a small arcade area and a dedicated kids section at the patio, I felt comfortable letting my son enjoy their offerings. The bar was huge and welcoming. Staff was friendly and the restroom was spotless with quality soaps! I was impressed by the attention to detail that you don't expect from mom and pop establishments. We really enjoyed Dels Hideout. It's an easy place to walk into and grab a table with a good variety of food and drinks. The two meat platter was plenty of food for one and probably enough for two. The ribs fell off the bone and I could cut the brisket with a fork while the fat melted in my mouth. The potato salad was probably one of the best I've ever had with a unique flavor. We also got to choose three sides; we went with the street corn, collared greens and potato salad. All that food was cheaper than us getting individual meals, and with my appetite not at full strength, it just made sense to split, knowing my husband would end up with the majority of the food on the plate. Del's hideout is a great place to hangout and watch the Pads. It's dog friendly and I usually bring my bernedoodle once every so often. I usually come over here for some BBQ as there aren't a ton of options in the area for that. The bbq loaded fries are pretty good. Definitely a ton of cheese/queso that I think takes over the flavor and hides the pulled pork flavor, but it's usually my go to appetizer. The onions rings are huge and it's definitely a full course meal and can feed the kids pretty easily . The brisket is by far my favorite to get here as it has that perfect mix of bbq and seasoning. The TJ Burger is quite delicious. Lots of flavor that packs a punch between the aioli sauce and pepper jack cheese. The actually meat could be a little more but I'm not surprised in this type of economy of the amount of meat but it's a decent amount. Service typically is a 8.5+ out of 10. I've had a server completely forget about us but I won't let that one experience take away a star. Alicia is very friendly and attentive. I came for the bbq so I split a half of a rack of ribs with my boyfriend. For sides we got chili and a side house salad. The meat was as tender as last time and everything was incredibly good. This place is a bit hidden but easy to get to. From the 8, exit Waring Rd and when on Waring, it'll be a right turn at the first light and then a left at the stop sign. The driveway is easy to drive past due to all of the cars on the street. I have never struggled with finding a parking spot in their lot. Staff members were friendly and service was perfect. Lighting varies by the table. The food was cooked just right. Chicken fried chicken was separated into two pieces and the bacon gravy went well with it. Green beans caserole and mashed potatoes were delicious. I tried a bit of my friend's order of chicken fried brisket, which was better than I had imagined. We went on a Tuesday and they had $5 tacos or 3 for $12. $6 margaritas & featured tequilas. My friend ordered the 3 for $12 tacos. Birria, carnitas and fish tacos! They were huge tacos! Good price! Let me start of by saying we love Dels but the manager here is absolutely HORRENDOUS. We go here a few times a year because we love the food and the atmosphere but there is one woman in particular that is always there and makes our time miserable. After our visit tonight we are likely no longer going to making dels an annual location for our parties. We showed up an hour early to let the staff know we would have a large party, the manager was absolutely miserable toward us and said half of our party would have to be there. Fine, we waited an hour until our party came and as they walked up she looked over at us and then filled the table we had requested. She then proceeded to question when the rest of the party would be there(as they walked in) and then argued with me when I told her that we come a few times a year and never had an issue before. She made our entire party sit a 4 separate tables and made everyone feel uncomfortable. She also yelled at one of the children with us who is autistic for running. The highlight of the night was the server Josh who went above and beyond for our party though. Total rockstar and deserves recognition for how great he was! The business made a great amount of money off of us tonight and the manager is absolutely terrible. We will likely be taking our business elsewhere due to her alone. read more
