These were delicious, and probably my favorite from the Hopkins food truck festival. We sampled these empanadas: mushroom, sweet beef, spinach, and chorizo. The mushroom and sweet beef were my favorites. I see that their store sells these frozen, and I plan to stop in and get some for eating at home. The crust was flaky, and the fillings were ample and memorable. I loved the chimichimi sauce!

The empanadas are always delicious! As a vegetarian, my favorite is the Sweet Corn and Mushroom -- it's full of flavor. I also love getting the grilled cheese with a fried egg; it's simple but really tasty. The tap beer is always cold and refreshing, which is a nice touch. I tried the desserts for the first time -- the Tres Leches and Flan -- and honestly, both were a bit lacking in flavor. They weren't bad, just nothing memorable. The alfajores cookies, on the other hand, were delicious, though $3.50 feels a little steep for the size. Overall a solid spot.

Take out order of Caprese and a Mushroom empanada. Each empanada has the Del Sur name and a flavor code in the pastry dough.

This last week, I took a co-worker to DelSur, we both got Chorizo sandwich with potatoes, my co-worker said these potatoes are on point and this sandwich is great. It was the third time I got that Sammy, very simple, but great. We also got the Tres leches cake, my friend said it possibly the best cake he has had! That evening my wife was jealous, so I had to ordered a dozen empanadas, the grilled chicken sandwich, and Tres leches cake!

This place rocks, great empanadas and a very good selection. I like that you can buy them in bulk and take them home and freeze them. Great service and the owners are very nice and friendly. They also own Tonka Pizza (right next door) which is equally as good! Check them out! Cheers!

The service was fantastic! I was helped immediately and when I asked for a recommendation they had one for me. They recommend the Sweet Beef and the Sweet corn. Both were very tasty although a little cold. The outside of the empanadas look amazing although they were a little small for the price. This place is rated $ but it's at least a $$ location. I picked up so I don't haveich to say about the ambiance but it looked clean and we'll maintained. PS: Make sure you turn down the right street (Williston Rd), the drive in front of the restaurant is one way.

I can't believe it took us this long to try this place. The service is amazing. The person that takes your order is as patient and welcoming as it gets. She will explain everything to you, give you recommendations, and make you feel welcomed. We couldn't decide on flavors so ended up ordering a dozen empanadas to try them all. Plenty of options for every taste. Don't sleep on some or the meat-free options... their caprese and spinach and cheese were our favorites, but they were all delicious. The ham and cheese packs SO much flavor (even though it looks so simple). The combination of cheeses really makes you want more of it! The place is ample and welcoming (we were told they expanded recently), and there's plenty of seating for everyone. Definitely an inviting place. We will be back soon to try their sandwiches! PS: they offer Tango lessons too, if you're feeling adventurous.

As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by a smiling face who was eager to ensure we knew how to order. We tried all of the available empanadas and appreciated every single one. We've tried many Argentinian empanadas and I'm generally disappointed by Ham & Cheese. Let me tell you - this was one of my absolute favorites of the day. They include flavorful cheeses, giving an empanada worth savoring. Another I generally shy away from is Caprese because I'm not a chunky tomato gal. This Caprese was incredibly flavorful, melted in my mouth, and really shined. Things to note: the menu rotates, you can purchase frozen empanadas to cook at home, and they offer tango lessons. You know the place is great when those working care, as much as an owner would, about how you enjoy your food.

Although I have had empanadas before, I didn't care for them; what led me to try Del Sur will forever be a mystery but holy smokes I'm glad I did! I ordered a Spinach and a Corn empanada and both were bursting with flavor and gooey cheese. No salsa required! The crusts were flaky and thin, perfectly cooked and beautiful, unlike the thick empanadas I had elsewhere with a teaspoon of filling. Next I had the Del Sur Salad, chock full of goodness with spring greens, hearts of palm, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and a lick-the plate-good chimichurri vinaigrette. Absolutely delicious. Writing this review has my mouth watering, so time to place another order. :-D ***Update! I ordered more empanadas and a grilled cheese with roasted baby potatoes! I had five empanadas and there was a chart showing what each one was by the letters embossed on the corner of each.

Their amazing take-and-bake empanadas are perfect for stashing in your freezer to help you ride out a pandemic. Buy a dozen or three, and just pull them out and bake them as you need them. The spinach and mushroom versions are my favorites, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Highly recommended. read more

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND GET YOURSELF AN EMPANADA! The service was amazing, and the empanadas even better! We had the Argentina salad to start and the dressing was amazing. The empanadas are perfection! We would recommend the spinach and chorizo. Or just get one of each flavor.... and don't forget to dip it in the chimichurri sauce! read more

I got recommend to this place and ordered a few empanadas when they were doing take out only. They weren't what I was expecting... they were way better! The details of the flavors stamped on them were so gracious! They were all so flavorful! My favorite were corn and caprice. Beef was really good as well! I ordered mushroom and my coworkers enjoyed them a lot (I'm not a mushroom person). Definitely recommend this place! I heard the tres leches cake is really good read more

I pretty much love everything about this place. The empanadas are hot and crisp on the outside with simple flavors. Nothing here to blow your head off with heat. This is a family/friend run establishment where food is served fast and with a genuine smile. read more

I tired some empanadas from this truck today at a food truck festival. The ones I did try were very good. But I didn't get to taste them all because my wife was in heaven with the rest. She said this was her favorite truck of the day and yeah I agree it's definitely up there. I'm probably gona have to hunt this truck down in the future for my wife; so yeah I say try them out. read more

These are good, feels more lunch than dinner but would be a fun tray to bring to a party. Definitely a good option for introducing someone to new foods as a good middle ground between ethnic and familiar for the none adventurous diner. read more

So pleased to have another great restaurant in the area. We ordered a dozen to go and ate them at Unmapped. It was great to try all of the flavors. No two empanadas tasted the same. I highly recommend the mushroom and sweet beef. We'll be back! read more

These empanadas are delicious! I had a beef and caprese empanada, with a piece of tres leches cake. I should have bought more because my daughter wanted most of the cake, I at least got a sample. Hands down this was the best tres leches cake I've had. I will be back for more empanadas. Great idea to get a dozen for the office. read more

Ordered these from the brewery nearby and popped in for pickup. The staff was personable and gave suggestions for next time we stop in! Brought the empanadas back to the bar (went great with beer) and they were amazing! Not too hearty, flavorful and crips crust. Exactly what we were wanting. Great Argentinian style empanadas--not like the flaky ones I'm used to. Hard crust style, but my boyfriend loves these, I really enjoy the corn ones and the chimichurri sauce. You can get a good beer at the brewery a block away and eat your cool little empanadas with a dark homebrew stout. Yummy! read more

So impressed with the experience we had tonight! The staff is SO Friendly and gave us some nice suggestions. We went with the BBQ chicken, Spinach and Caprese. The Caprese was hands down our favorite and then we had the TRES LECHES and WOW!!!! So so so good. Will be back for beer and more empanadas + tres leches! read more

I am originally from Argentina, and it is a struggle to recreate the taste of home using american ingredients. DelSur does just that. The empanadas were great and the Lomito (steak) sandwich was superb, would highly recommend to everyone. read more

My mom, husband and I dined here last night. All the empanadas on the menu sounded amazing so we tried a taste of them all. They were all fantastic but my personal favorites were the beef, ham and cheese and corn. The service was also great and you can tell they really take pride in their food and establishment. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that it took me so long to come here. We will definitely be back for more empanadas and to try some of the sandwich options! read more

I asked for an extra dipping sauce as I love the flavor. For my drink I guess you could say it's a secret menu surprise I ordered a chicha which is a traditional drink. It was honestly SO SO SO SO SO GOOD! I can't believe I'm saying this but it's better than the horchata I grew up drinking. I wish it wasn't as far for me to come here but I'll make effort to go often.

The location is super convenient just off 494, and they had amble parking even while it was packed inside! They had some food options inside, but nothing that consisted of a full menu, some snacks, pizzas, etc. They also had a food truck there, which we regretfully didn't try with dinner reservations later that night. But there is something here for the hungry stomach! The beer was delicious. They had a good selection consisting of IPA's, sours, seltzers, some lights, ears, etc.! I had one of their IPAs and was thoroughly impressed as well as their Düsseldorf which was awesome. They had some NA beers and plenty of sodas for those that don't drink or the kids who are with. The service was top notch. The gentleman that was working in particular was super friendly and talkative. Helped choose drinks, and even offers some suggestions for dinner which we took him up on! There was also live music and the perfect kind for a mellow saturday night. Very spacious, and well thought out room plans. Would absolutely visit again!

Husband & I were looking for something new after a Tuesday afternoon movie date. I'd heard about this place near our home that others have raved about. Wow! We were so pleased to have tried their empanadas! They are warm delectable pockets of yummy flavors. They were soooo good that we brought some home for tomorrow. We tried their assortment of any 3 for $10. What a fun way to sample them. They were all terrific! It's a small space and I can imagine it fills up fast during lunch and dinner! I think I'll be back soon & cant wait to take our family from Madrid when they visit this summer. Olé!!! read more
