I was Lied to about using miles. They said if I upgraded my ticket to first class, I could use the Delta lounge during my layover. Efficient service throughout the terminal. Polite, helpful staff. Despite my choosing the money-saving ticket option, I couldn't pick my own seat even until the last minute, despite there being a couple open seats I'd be able to choose from after everyone else has already chosen. I do appreciate the on-board apple juice and pretzels though. However, when we landed early in Seattle, they kept us sitting in the airplane for a half hour with nothing to do. I suppose they have no power in letting us out early. I just lament airports don't have contingency to help us save time given the opportunity. read more

I used to fly Delta out of John Wayne Airport to go to a project in Guinea (West Africa). I gave up on Delta and I started going to LAX instead because the counter help was so disorganized. Agents would spend 20+ minutes on a single passenger while the line grew longer and longer. I got the night entry to a flight for which I had paid $4000, because the agent said I was not allowed to enter Guinea. Total BS. I had my passport, work, visa, invitation letter, and my vaccinations. I think she was just trying to clear an overbooked flight. Never again. read more

Deeply appreciate the Captain and Crew of Flight - SLC to DFW (7/8/24 DL2811.) They were exceptionally proficient in performing their duty amidst unique events. Super professional, competent .... Although they were running on time (Yay!) when they were ready to taxi we couldn't because the wings' flaps weren't working. (That's important!) Why? It was so freaking hot the "flaps" said "No!" and waved the white flag. They needed to hose down/cool off wings. The AC had to be turned off and the cabin bordered on near "oven." The crew managed to keep us in good spirits; a laugh goes along way. Then delayed a second time due to an unruly passenger on the plane, his removal was orderly. This Captain had control of his vessel! They're good at their jobs and we genuinely believed our Captain when he informed us that our safety was his highest priority. Throughout the unique hiccups that Delta couldn't possibly have anticipated; our Captain gave timely, informed updates which I super appreciated. He expertly left no room for anxiety to fester or frustration over not knowing what's happening. Bravo! We eventually made it to our destination. Despite multiple delays we got off the plane smiling. Shout out to Lisa - her enthusiasm was infectious. read more

I did not appreciate how she tossed our IDs and documents back at us instead of handing it over. Review of flight - First Class on Delta from LAX to MCI Flight 1517 from LAX to MCI Feb 21, 2025 We flew first class and the flight attendant flying out of LAX was awful! I expected more from a first class ticket. She yelled at me like I was a 2-year-old in front of everyone in first class (and I am 62 by the way). No one ever, ever talks to me like that. So disrespectful and demeaning. This young flight attendant was horrible the whole trip, and I was so very angry that it took everything that I had to shut my mouth the entire trip out. This was just a day or two after seeing the Delta Plane upside down on the news, so we were already a bit nervous about the flight. At another time on the flight out - my husband was getting up to use the restroom as someone had just come out and we couldn't see that she had blocked off the isle with her cart due to the big seat in front of us and she started yelling at him "Get back in your seat!" "GET BACK IN YOUR SEAT"! We couldn't figure out why she wouldn't let him use the facilities until we looked around the seat and saw the cart. Could she just have nicely explained that it was time for the pilots to take a break? We would have understood that completely. This young lady desperately needs to go back through training because she was horrible. We vowed NEVER to fly Delta again after this trip. It was not worth paying out the extra money for first class. We did it because a close family member had just died suddenly of cancer and we were flying out to attend his funeral. She made the trip so much worse with her vile attitude. Then it was time to fly home again from MCI to LAX, and my husband and I were not looking forward to it. We were actually cringing! We stepped onto the plane and were immediately greeted by the most adorable, kind young man who was to be our flight attendant on the way home. What a breath of fresh air he was! He was patient and kind and ensured we were well taken care of. He renewed our faith in Delta. Will we ever fly first class again.....oh yes - from now on! Will we be flying Delta first class again? That remains to be seen. The second gentleman flight attendant who took such good care of us on the way home, unfortunately, did not dispel the bad attitude and horribleness of the first attendant that we had when we flew out of LAX to MCI. Delta ammenties and perks are not worth $650 annual fee!!! I am a reserve car holder which is so called the top tier. I have 2 issues with the card and supposedly ammenties for this high price annual fee card. I recently took an overseas flight to Vietnam. I was not able to get into the centurion or delta lounge due to the fact my flight is not on Delta. I was turned away after spending time in a long line. That was a waste of time especially in the airport where time was of the essence. Moreover, I was willing to pay the damn fee. But nope....... I cant even get in. No perk for a Amex reserve member. Next, I just tried to book a vacation with companion ticket. And guess what???? It's a NÔ can do. No tickets available. The representative asked are u flexible with the dates? My response was of course. I gave multiple dates and it resulted in No.No.No. So I say why don't you tell me a date where it will be a yes. After searching, I can see the rep is getting frustrated. Imagine the customer??? I'm super frustrated. So the rep tells me that on each flight, Delta will reserve 4 companion tickets. So you are sh*t out of luck trying to use it. Delta moved our flight back 1 hour from Santa Ana Airport. This delay made us miss our connection in Salt Lake. We received a text notification 12 hours before departure with notice we could change bookings at no additional cost. When we called they tried to charge us $153 more each ticket. When we called customer service they said all they could was refund & we could rebook at new cost, which was outrageous since it was the next morning. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I recently flew with Delta Airlines. It was one of the best experiences I've had the seats were amazing roomy plenty of storage and legroom. They didn't throw food at you like the measly peanuts like American Airlines . They actually gave you a choice between cookies and protein bars and that was with the lower ticket on my way back home. I also flew Delta and I was able to upgrade to first class and I the same courtesy, and respect that a passenger would expect. So what I'm saying is it didn't matter what part of the airplane I was on I got treated the same, which was very refreshing not to mention that in first class the food they serve is like a chef prepared it for you personally phenomenal. For flying during holiday season and given my experience I'm giving them a solid 4 and the customer service a 5!!!! I'm sure a lot of people can't give 5's to airlines in customer service, but for me since my Italian took care of everything when getting my ticket, it took away from the stress factor for me, so all I had to do was show up LOL. Both flying out and flying in was such a breeze. Checking in at both counters was painless, both clerks especially the one from Atlanta were so nice. The woman from Atlanta truly was the nicest person I've ever spoken to in any service. Both plane trips were a breeze and actually went faster than usual. The stewardess were also very nice. I just wish I sat next to a cooler guy on my way to Atlanta LOL. He was lame! We're in first class for gods sake have some fun sir! Speaking of first class, I can't believe they don't serve champagne!!!!!!!! My date was like you're gonna love first class and you're going to get your champagne on! Yea well guess what, they don't do that LOL. So I got my vodka on instead and doozed right off :D Besides the outstanding service, the food was damn good. Breakfast was a nice omelet with sausage and cheese. Potatoes underneath it and a side of fruit salad. I was fat and happy. Got my drank and my food and another great round of sleep LOL. Coming back we had an option of a burger or chicken breast salad. I choose the salad and it was, no kidding the best chicken salad I've ever had!!!! Mixed greens, these morsels of green pasta that looked like peas, feta cheese, tomato and a bomb ass vinaigrette. Didn't even need dressing! This plate also came with a slice of cheesecake, breadsticks ,cheese and grapes! I wanted to take the rest home but I wasn't sure they had to-go boxes and after I murdered that salad, I saw the stewardess with to-go boxes ,DAMN IT! Oh well that salad is in my top 3! Seriously I had no complaints with my interaction with Delta and would easily fly with them again! I'm spoiled now! read more

Avoid this airline at all costs! I've had such a terrible customer support experience, and it has been 10 weeks without a response or resolution. Anyone who tries to navigate the website will immediately find it almost impossible to get ahold of a person for a request. They make you go through a system of questions, and then direct you through a few links, when all you really need is a contact email for their customer support. Unfortunately, it has been my experience thusfar that even if you manage to get a ticket to their support team, they will simply say that they will get to your issue when they can and then never respond back for months. I will never use this airline again and highly recommend anyone reading this to follow suit. Your money is best spent elsewhere. I'll gladly pay extra if I can avoid ever having to patronize this terrible company. read more

This review is for my flight in July from SNA to SEA. Delta offered a credit if I took a later flight, however, I was on the latest flight offered that day and the kiosk didn't share any details of what flight it was referring to. When I asked the baggage checker about this, she said there wasn't anything available on the one flight that was earlier than mine and didn't know why their system had offered to put me on a later flight. At the gate, the flight was delayed, which changed the gate. The gal at the gate announced that since the flight was sold out, they would allow carry ons to be checked at no cost. They charge $25 for 1 suitcase to be checked. This should have been offered upon check-in to save time. During the flight, the flight attendant gave the guys behind me free beer and two snacks, neither of which they asked for free. She said it was on the house due to the delayed flight. She didn't offer anything free to me or the other passengers around me. Must not have been hot enough for her. read more

No ownership or accountability when in comes to delays that are within their control! My husband's 5:45 a.m. flight was cancelled because the pilots didn't show up. He was rebooked on another flight which would not have gotten him to his final destination until the NEXT day. Working with their customer service department, they put him on a flight to a different city where there was another flight with a different carrier that would get him to his final destination the same afternoon, however, we had to purchase that ticket separately (Alaska Airlines) since they had no partner airlines to get us there, and we could submit that $400 ticket for reimbursement since the cancelled flight was caused by Delta. We submitted the ticket for reimbursement and it was REJECTED. I will think twice before ever flying Delta again, and anyone who considers flying with them should as well. Be very aware that you will be the one financially impacted when they cancel flights, regardless of whether it was within our outside of their control. read more

Lots of poor Yelp reviews for Delta out of SNA. I had no issues except the Sky Priority rep could have responded a little quicker to the only customer standing in line. She made me wait 45 seconds, doesn't sound lengthy but she was on her phone texting, could have called me over while she continued to text but she wouldn't look up and see if anyone was in the priority line until after she was finished texting. The exchange and checking in was fine, she was pleasant, but just not being aware of surroundings when they actually have dead time between major flights. This is not a major hub for Delta but the Sky Priority line means a higher level of commitment in my opinion. read more

I just recently flew on Delta to Oahu, Hawaii. On the flight there I asked for headphones for my son. After 1 hour into the flight, the attendant finally gave me some. On the flight home the TVs did not work. That was annoying on a 5 hour flight with 2 children. Then when we arrived late, it took 45 minutes to get our luggage to come out. Our luggage was posted to come out at baggage claim 1 and 45 minutes later they announced that it was at another baggage claim. I almost missed my shuttle home. We should've been home by 12:30am and instead got home close to 2am with 2 children. It was Not good service. I was very disappointed. read more

With a tragic family accident I was flying back in an emergency flight rush to say goodbye. It has been a real long time since I last flew with Delta Airlines and since I had have some not so pleasant experiences with United, I figured it would be nearly the same. But to my surprise, I actually enjoyed flying with Delta. On my most recent and first time trip to Seattle, my husband, our little dog (cost $125 each way for her to fly with us) and I flew out of the John Wayne Airport. We had an early morning flight at 7:15 am on a Tuesday morning. At the early morning, it was cold on the airplane. I was sitting in coach/ economy and zipped up my sweater all the way to try to stay warm. Then as it got colder, I put on my hood from my sweater and also placed my neck pillow around my neck to try to keep warm. Shortly after, beverage service began down the airplane aisle. I requested for a cup of tea when this flight attendant had asked if I would like anything to drink and what snacks I would like (current pick of peanuts, pretzels or Biscoff cookies). I was making small talk with her and asking if she ever gets cold on the plane. She said only when she sits down but while she is up working, she is fine (referring to heat rising). She made sure my vent was closed but could still feel the air blowing out from the sides. She told me it is hard to regulate the temperature on a plane (which I totally understand). She brought my a cup of hot water right away instead of having another flight attendant do it (that seems to be the norm that one person will give the passenger a cup with a tea bag, cream/ sugar, stirrer, etc and then another person will come with a pitcher of hot water). As I was slowly sipping up my cup of tea, that same flight attendant brought me a red blanket wrapped in plastic. She brought it over to me after she finished the beverage service. I had not even asked for a blanket (nor did I realize that I had the option of doing that) and greatly appreciate her thoughtful gesture because I was still cold despite having a cup of hot tea (yea I get cold easily... I'm sure fun in the winter). The fact that this flight attendant went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable the way she could, really means a lot to me. And because of her kind actions, I really have a whole new outlook on Delta. Unfortunately I did not get her name :( and only glanced at her employee badge and saw that her name starts with an "L". On our short plane ride to Seattle (a little less than 3 hours), it was enjoyable because of the friendly and caring service. I would fly out with Delta again in the future. read more

We two couples, ages in our 70's, made flight arrangements and paid for them in January 2024 for flights to and from Santa Ana to Albany, New York. The arrival time for Albany was around 6 P.M. Last month, Delta changed those flights making us now arrive at 11:45 P.M. As seniors, we do not feel safe arriving in a new city at that time of night. We contacted Delta to see if we could get a different flight, but were told that nothing would get us in any earlier. So...we changed our plans and changed our tickets for the day before which was still scheduled for a 6 P.M. arrival. Today....Delta changed that schedule too with an arrival at 11:45 P.M. I contacted Delta again and was told that there are no other flights earlier. This is really disturbing as we would never have selected Delta had this schedule been offered in January. To me, this is classic bait and switch....offer something which is then accepted and paid for and then remove what is offered that is not what one paid for. I would not recommend making flight arrangements with Delta unless you do not care that your flight will be changed tremendously. read more

I am a Delta Medallion member and have no issues with the air portion of my experiences. However, booking thru Delta Hotels has taken me back with the lack of customer service and conflicting information. I made a reservation on the website and was presented with X price for my stay. When I received the confirmation email, I was charged Y which was over $500 higher. I printed the final confirmation page, as I always do, and asked to send them this as evidence there was a glitch in the website or something else happened incorrectly. I followed the steps that supervisor Jake told me to rectify the issue. I then got a run around from multiple other representatives and was told that there was no notes to support what I was told and that I would have to swallow the additional fee. I feel I was baited and switched by Delta Hotels. You can't have 1 price on the final page and then charge over $500 more in the email confirmation without any clear path to fix the issue. I found their customer service highly lacking and they either can't or won't do what they state to correct the issue. This was my first time booking thru a third party and not going directly to the source. I will never do this again because it adds a level of complexity and you are at the mercy of a potentially horrible customer service experience. read more

We booked our flights weeks ago, and told the ticketing agent that we would be flying with Bicycles. We were told it should be around $100 per bike. Getting to the airport we were told it is $150 per bike! Bicycles, in professional cases. Meant for air travel. Anyway, this means that round trip flying with our bikes costs $600! That's more than our airfare, 3-nights hotel stay AND rental car combined! We are going to ride bikes in Utah. Doing good, being healthy...and this fee feels like punishment. Surfboards? Free. Gold clubs? Free. "Trade show equipment? Free. I will never fly this airline again. I own a retail bicycle shop and will be sure to tell anyone who travels to my destination location NOT to fly this airline. read more

I have yet to have a positive experience with delta. The last two flights I have went on with delta have been delayed. First flight, in July we had to stay in Cancun an extra night because of a delay. It cost $200+ for transportation and the hotel plus over 12 extra hours of travel. This flight in August, we were delayed by the airline and missed our connecting flight. We were told that that our connecting plane knew we were coming as there were 5 of us on the connecting flight. We landed at 5:15 with 15 min to sprint across the whole airport to catch our flight at 5:30. We arrived at the gate all sweaty & out of breathe but with 2 minutes to spare at 5:28. Just to find out they left early at 5:26. Why would they leave early if they knew 5 passengers were sprinting to the plane? Extremely frustrating. Next we go to rebook our flight and they can't get us on either direct flight so now we have another over night flight and arrive tomorrow in the late morning. Come to find out, They ended up transferring us to a whole different airport. So now we are going to have to pay for a hour Uber that's going to be over $70. Delta, I thought Your prices were high because you were a higher quality company. Turns out, I have had better service from both spirit and frontier, maybe you should ask them for some tips. read more

Love SNA. We usually fly AA, however, flying to SLC is a Delta Hub. When my husband and I were dropped off at curbside arrival our driver found a wheelchair and safely had my husband settled in. I rolled our two suitcases to the First Class line and went back to retrieve my husband and push his chair to where our two bags were placed. The Delta greeter said to me...."Hey, you can't just leave your bags here!". I told her we were in First Class and there was no pusher to bring my husband in from the outside curb. He was just out there on the curb waiting. She was totally unsympathetic and she watched me struggle to push him in line along with pushing my two bags forward, eyeing me up and down. Also, this is to mention that it was Veterans Day Weekend and my husband was proudly wearing his USS Halsey cap identifying him as a Veteran. Clue #1, this is why he is in the wheelchair! The check-in counters were busy and one of the agents recognized our situation and said he would call a "pusher" for us. Why didn't the Delta greeter volunteer to do this? It became so ridiculous that the passenger behind us helped push our luggage forward when it became our turn. I thanked him and he then thanked my husband for his service. That Delta greeter was still glaring at us....so much for even First Class recognition. When it was our turn the airport pusher came and it was our familiar friend, Bhoopie, who has helped us through the airport many many times before. He gave both me and my husband big hugs and said, "Don't worry about anything, Bhoppie is here!". No wonder he was voted by the passengers as #1 Customer Service Employee at SNA. He is always happy, proud of his work and makes everyone feel valued. From that moment everything was great. The Delta gate agent was fantastic too taking great care to getting my husband on the plane. The flight crew was wonderful as well. Now, back to that initial Delta greeter, please take courses in customer service, be empathetic and know there are passengers with disabilities that need special assistance, sad that a fellow passenger in line had to take notice of my situation and step up, learn how to identify a US Veteran when you see one and thank them for their service. Also, know that your fellow Delta associates along our journey made up for your lack of empathy and service. Because of them, I gave Delta two stars and not just one. If you want to be large and in charge, take charge! Shame on you. read more

Booked a flight in Sept. 2022 for 12/18/22 return was for 1/4/23 SNA to BOS and it was cancelled by Delta in Dec. but they never informed us of that. I Found out through the rented car comp. When contacted Delta I was told that is correct, but now you need to rebook and pay an additional $700- for rebooking. Found a cheaper flight next day and asked for a credit we don't do that. You can have a voucher. Finally agent agreed and credited AX $352.-- and I had to rebook for the next day, and pay the difference. But the $352.-- where re charged on my AX at the next billing. I send all the copies of my Docs to the DELTA CEO Ed Bastian via return receipt but have not heard from them as of 2.3.23 when they signed for return receipt. I never knew that Delta was such a dishonest company and that they are in the marked to cheat there passengers. read more
