I've done the road trip with friends from Seattle to Spokane before but this time around I wanted to fly. It's a mid size airport like Boise. It's larger than Glacier Park Int'l Airport in Kalispell but smaller than Sea-Tac. Security was easy to get through. It wasn't chaotic at all and TSA didn't yell at people like they do at Sea-Tac. The airport was pretty easy to navigate. They're closing Wild Waves in Federal Way this year. Silverwood would probably be the next largest theme park in the region. You could easily fly to Spokane, rent a car, and stay in Coeur d'Alene.

When I went to another site to let them (and only them) know about my annoyance in having to do so, it was a very difficult site to find a way to enter what I have entered here. I have choices and I will not be flying United again and I will strongly recommend to anyone I know not to fly United either.

I have to say that the ADA service was worth it. A UA staff member found us sitting at the bar prior to the flight and checked to see what accommodations we would need for my father. She introduced herself as Starla and took care of us on the flight to our destination. Once we landed the UA staff was very helpful in getting my father off the plane safely and back in his wheelchair for easier transport.

We arrived in Spokane and the pilot was waiting, we couldn't park. One of the workers said they'd never seen anything like that, they didn't even have communication with the ground. We finally got to park after 20 or so minutes. Then we were waiting over 40 minutes for the luggage to come through, they didn't have workers. Some frequent flyers mentioned it is a common problem with aa at the Spokane airport. The luggage started coming after 10pm.

We were told that we were 4 minutes late to check a bag. We were rescheduled for a later flight and would get to our destination almost a day later than needed. No help, no consideration, no care!! Never again with American Airlines. I've never had anything like this with southwest, Alaska, Delta or United. Guess what, no more business with AA again. It's not like they're very busy either. Just checked with Southwest they told me they will take luggage up to boarding time, might be a late fee that I would be grateful to pay and make my flight.
