When they left the atmosphere was wonderful and we enjoyed our meal. Everyone in our party enjoyed their lunch. However, I wish I had ordered something other than the BBQ Philly sandwich. Delta Blues has great BBQ, there's no denying that, I've had friends who thought they didn't like BBQ come here and come out saying they love BBQ. Frankly, I've always loved BBQ, so Delta Blues is a great place to me. I usually get their brisket platter with their collard greens and fries. Their brisket is very good, but how good it is depends on what day you come in on. Their collard greens are always delicious, no matter if you like vegetables or not you will like the collard greens. Their fries are pretty standard, I'd recommend getting Cajun seasoning on them. The restaurant can get pretty packed at times, so make sure to get there early to get yourself a seat. The restaurant is packed for good reason though, it's wonderful to be served by the staff; they truly show sourthern hospitality. They are always helpful with things, like helping you pick out things to try on the menu. Additionally, if you get a fountain drink you can have free refills. Delta blues BBQ is one of my favorite spots. It's so convenient, I usually order to go or just stop in for a quick lunch. The wings with Cajun rub are so good, I am obsessed with the chips with blue cheese sauce. Basically anything you get here is great. My dog and I were on a road trip and saw online that this place was dog-friendly AND it was Cajun Tuesday--sold! Typically you'd need to go inside and order before coming out to the dog-friendly patio, but the staff was so accommodating since I was by myself and let me call it in. They brought it right out, and even brought some treats for my pup! I opted for the house-made blue cheese dip with chips to start and DANG I wish I had a way to keep the leftover dip cold along my trip because I would love to eat that every day. The chips were nice and thick, too. For my entree, I chose the blackened shrimp platter, which was about $10.99 for a good amount of food! The shrimp were beautifully flavored and succulent (and y'all, I don't usually trust seafood this far inland). The surprising star of the plate was the fried corn on the cob--so good! They have a variety of flavor options available to season it with, but I kept with the theme and went with Cajun. Mac and cheese was good, but it was a slight up charge for the side, just as an FYI. Worth every penny, in my opinion! If I'm ever back in the Bristol area, I'll definitely be swinging back through Delta Blues! I would love to come on a night where they have live music. read more

Came from out of state for the food. Service was amazing, so many people checking on everyone to make sure meals are good. We came during the end of the lunch rush so it was a little crowded but we still found seating. Wings were amazing, we got the chicken Philly sandwich for lunch which was also amazing. Did have a slight issue with one of the items but the staff helped fix the issue super fast:) the fries were so good, I couldn't eat them all so I took them home. We are in town for the race Sunday March 17,2024. We got on our Harley to find some good BBQ. Our search brought us to DB and we were amazed; first of all with the gal that helped us decide what to eat. Secondly the delicious tray of food that was presented, a 5 meat sampler , ribs,sausage,burnt ends,wings and of course brisket. Oh and an added treat to ourselves first time ever..Alligator. I guess Tennessee barbecue is a bit different than Texas barbecue. I ordered MOIST brisket and pulled pork. Both were as dry as sawdust. I also had coleslaw and baked beans, which was not too bad, but I suspect the beans were Bushes canned beans which I like. I left the majority of my meats behind because they were so dry I couldn't finish them. It just may be a different style of barbecue I'm not use to. The food tasted good, but the taste was outweighed by the overly high prices and the poor customer service. We paid almost $50 for two meals and I was given 2 hushpuppies as a side which I found to be a rip off since my husband got a whole plate of fries for his side. And when I asked about this, I was quickly dismissed and blamed for not ordering correctly rather than being given any sort of reconciliation. We were antiquing in Bristol and saw this place. We were excited that Tuesday was Cajun day! They had a full menu of great options. They unfortunately were out of oysters, so go early if you are going! I had the popcorn crawfish with fried okra and baked beans. My wife got the fried catfish with slaw and fries. Everything was excellent! The topper was having one dollar PBR drafts. We had not had a PBR in a very long time, but enjoyed them. The fries were like steak fries but with a twist (see photo). The comeback sauce was an excellent compliment to all the food. I really enjoyed the baked beans, especially after having dry baked beans the night before, these were just right! They have a fabulous bbq menu as well. BBQ sauces are on the table. We will definitely be back! read more

Definitely found this disappointing I'm sad to say. The meats (I had both pulled chicken and pork) barely had any smoke to them, they have lemonade on the menu but the checkout lady acted like we were nuts trying to order it, and the collards I had were sandy (not washed well) and served - a real watery side dish - in a cardboard container that fell apart before I was done. The okra batter was unseasoned and too much of it. Hubs did like his pimento burger and fries - especially the fries - better than I liked the BBQ, but for a BBQ place that's a bit more of a dig than a compliment I think. The sauces were pretty decent, just would have preferred tastier meat to start with. I had to drown it in sauce to get some flavor. Not awful but the good reviews had me expecting more - not to mention there's really tasty BBQ all around the area so I feel like you gotta try harder in that specialty. I'm guessing they bank on live music more than the food. I dunno, but not likely we would go back. read more

Came here last summer while vacationing in the area. We stopped in for an early dinner just off the smell walking by. The food is amazing. We were lucky enough to have the special fried pimento cheese appetizer. It was so good. We basically ordered everything on the menu from pulled pork, chicken, brisket and fall off the bone ribs. My wife doesn't normally like ribs but when I picked it up and the meat fell off she had to try it. We sat outback on what I assume is a new deck area they built and you can see all the wood and the smoker. They have a stage outback also for music and such. The staff inside was super welcoming and funny. Also the potato salad is something they should market. It's insanely good. read more

Brisket was dry and overcooked. Way too much buffalo seasoning on the corn, had to scrape off with the toast to eat. Bbq beans were good, needed bacon or chopped up bits of meat. Sauces were good all around but really nothing stood out. The best part was the "help" spraying us along with the table to clean it.
