our dryer was running hot. our lint catcher was browning and melted small holes. sure signs something is wrong, most likely clogged vent. we moved into this house a little while back and i never go around to checking on vent. looks like the previous owner never cleaned the vents, or at least not in a very long time. in a short run of about 5 feet, with barely any angles, a huge ball of lint came out, enough to fill a shopping bag. the team from delta dryer vent came through quickly, efficiently, cleaned up nicely and done for a very reasonable price. now sure, could i have done all this myself, and I have in previous homes, but with two young kids, a few businesses to run, and no free time at all, this is just much easier. and to be honest, even if i had the time, with as easy and reasonably priced DDV makes it, it just not worth the hassle. absolutley recommend this family business to anyone. read more

It gets worse....according to Yelp it has only been 9 months since my review of when these ppl came to "clear" my dryer vent...well they made sure the vent was clear behind my dryer inside my house, but not outside. The outside vent where the air is supposed to ventilate was clogged with sooooo much lint which caused all the moisture to settle in the vent and it started dripping where my vents were connected in my ceiling. Now I'm paying a construction worker to fix my ceiling due to water damage!!! read more

I have lived in my townhome for 5 plus years and never cleaned the dryer vent so after hearing about it being a major fire hazard I went online to find a professional to clean it out. I would have left a 3.75 star if the option was available. The good: -Very quick to respond when I initially inquired -Showed up on time and were polite -Quick and got the job complete -Dryer now runs even better The down side: -Left a huge mess, it took me 3 times longer to clean up from them in my back yard than it took them to clean the vent. The only reason this annoyed me so much is I asked if they wanted to tape a bag around the vent to catch the debris and he said no we have tarps. It was everywhere including all my kids toys, neighbors yard, etc. -I was originally quoted $150, but when I went to pay it was $199 because he said he installed a non-crush dryer duct. Truth is I probably did need it and I would have paid the $49 for the part happily to not have to go to the store and install it myself, but it should have been mentioned before install. I was in the room right next to the dryer and present so to assume I should just accept it without being told or shown, etc lacked professionalism. Overall I am glad I got it done, but the clean up left behind is what lead me to leave just an okay for review. Beware if you too have not cleaned your vents in a long time it will be extra messy so maybe have a better plan of containment. read more

Mark and his son came an hour after our scheduled appointment but they gave me a heads up. When they arrived, they noticed it would take a bit longer to remove our washer and dryer from the spot it was in. As a result, he charged another $45, which I was fine with because other businesses will try to charge you well over $250 for this service. After an initial false start with a no show on the day the appointment was, we rescheduled and they arrived early. They got on my roof and cleaned the offending dryer vent due to it was blocked at the top of the vent. Job took around 30 minutes. Mark, Mark Jr. and employee were so nice. They were recommended by our nextdoor neighbors. We had done a remodel and weren't quite finished. Mark said it would be best to come back after the carpet had been laid, but while he was looking for the vents he discovered that we were missing an HVAC return downstairs. Mark Jr. went over and above testing for returns and found our 10% outside air return. We had covered it with a bookcase, so we fixed that issue saving our new furnace. Mark Jr and team came to do this work. I previously had the dryer vent cleaned by Stanley Steamer but it did not resolve my issue as they did not get to the roof of the second story home. Mark and his team were very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. There was a secondary issue with the vent at the roof that Mark was able to fix. After the work was done, Mark went through what the issue was and showed me photos from the roof. I would highly recommend, especially if you need the vent cleaned from the roof.
