She set me up with some calming tea and brought me to a private changing area with a locker for my belongings. Everyone in the vicinity checked in to make sure I was doing ok. I was worried that because I had arrived late, I would eat up some of my massage time. No siree! They moved my massage to start when I was ready to begin. I booked the 90 minute Nuansa classic massage. You know how some places start the clock before you've sat down and finish the massage early (aka you pay for an hour and it's only about 45 minutes)? Well! That's not the case here! I got all 90 minutes of my massage. The massage itself: not to be believed. Lukkana started by saying "time to relax". And boy did I. Let me tell you one thing about me - I have the most ticklish legs of anyone I've ever met. Usually, when I have my legs massaged, I kick a hole in the wall and the masseuse files for a lawsuit (this is an exaggeration). Well! Somehow, Lukkana was able to work the muscles in my leg without triggering my dainty ticklish reflexes. I was astonished! Then, you know how sometimes you ask for a firm touch and you get jelly hands? Or the other way around and you're walking out with bruises? The place is very clean and comfortable, the staff is kind and attentive. When you get there they give you a warm eucalyptus scented towel to wipe off your hands, offer you a tea and the restroom, and then lead you to your room. The massage therapist was thorough and professional. At the end, they gave me a firm head massage that felt amazing - I just recommend bringing a comb if you need to be somewhere afterwards! When she realized I saw her, she hid the phone under the sheets. There is no version of this that is acceptable. Texting during a paid massage is blatant misconduct. It didn't stop there. My husband repeatedly asked her to focus on his neck and shoulders and avoid his feet. His requests were ignored. The technique was lazy and mechanical - repetitive forearm circling with little to no pressure, despite requesting deep tissue. He left feeling like he didn't receive a massage at all. When we raised the issue, the owner acknowledged the behavior was "unacceptable" yet offered only a 25% discount - as if actively texting during a massage, ignoring repeated client requests, and delivering a substandard service were minor inconveniences. This wasn't just a bad massage. It was a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. We will not be returning.

The people manning the front desk were unapologetic about our emergency situation. Not only did we have to deal with the FDNY, a traffic situation which our car presented, angry commuters, and a hefty tow price, we were charged for a service that was not provided due to an emergency situation. The manager on duty, was much more professional than the initial associate who responded. While, we understand we were no shows, we were dealing with an unforseen situation. I am so disappointed at Oasis-we used to take our Mother there for many years. The lack of human understanding towards people who are literally dealing with an emergency is so disappointing after having been customers of Oasis for so many years.

It wasn't horrible. My masseuse started my massage and I wasn't quite sure what she was doing. She was moving so quickly up and down my back....I couldn't relax...She started with my back...and I thought.. this isn't great...but it got somewhat better when I flipped over...I just kept thinking "this person isn't very good"...and then it turned from not great to what the hell...the ending foot massage pulled every ounce of relaxation out of my body and then I was just annoyed...her nails were digging into my feet...I finally had to say something...I wanted to just snatch my foot away and storm out...but I held it together. Oasis was my tried and true and it has tumbled downhill fast! I was a bit disappointed to see that it looked nothing like the picture and it was fake rose petals which I thought was weird. I'll give them an A for effort though although it looked nothing like the picture. The massage was amazing. She did a really great job. Most of my massages are pretty rough but she did a great job with light to medium pressure. I really liked the glass of champagne and the chocolate truffles. The private soak was nice but I really enjoyed the sauna. It was definitely a great experience. Came out feeling revitalized. My boyfriend really enjoyed the massage and the amenities.
