Ordered takeout. They gave me a number and said 25 minutes. I arrived in the timeframe and the bartender said that order was already picked up. Apparently someone came in right after I called and said he was order 21. Waited for the order and left. I showed the lady a picture I took of the order and the number. They remade my order while I waited and while I was waiting the person who took my order called and then came back to get the right order. I told the lady that I was surprised when I called that they didn't ask me for my name, she said we don't do that we give out numbers (well maybe they should change that). I think the worst Part was other than we are sorry they didn't nothing else. Maybe a free beer while i waited, maybe free fries anything. Most of the menu comes as Gluten Free options too, just ask! Walking distance from 2 of the rare North East truck stops, this place gets rave reviews froqm truckers, I had to check it out for myself. I'm an hour away from Philly, so obviously thats what I ordered, to go: a Gluten Free Philly Pizza, super excited to post photos of it and of course, devour it like I hadn't eaten8 in 3 days. Place is immaculately clean. Staff is steady busy, even with few customers, cleaning and scrubbing. They also sell cold beer and pop, yo go. Good for them! This was an amazing restaurant and conveniently located to the motel Super 8 my husband and I were staying at. The food was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was amazing and made us take our mind off of our worries of a broken down car 500 miles from home. We ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, which my husband said was amazing, I ordered the Chicken Ceasar salad which was yummy! We shared 3 small appetizers (broccoli cheese bites, 6 chicken wings, and chicken tenders). All very good! We also ordered a Hawaiian pizza for tomorrow! I should have judged this book by it's cover. The paint is peeling off of the facade. The building is dark and filthy on the outside. The huge front concrete steps in the front have not been power washed since the Bush administration. The lighting on said steps is poor. Wires are hanging out of what I believe to be lighting sockets on the steps. The gravel parking lot is difficult to navigate due to the overgrown shrubs and weeds that are where some landscaping was or should be. The bar when you enter smell like a high school locker room. I chalk that up to the long haul truckers who are enjoying some beers from the nearby truck stop station. Who am I to judge them, they keep America moving. Cheers. I have gotten food from here twice. My first sandwich was a cheeseburger hoagie, on their homemade bread. It' wasn't bad. The wings were over sauced, flacid, and unimpressive. I also got a plain pizza that was below average and unimpressive. I almost always give a restaurant a second shot to gain my business. Fast forward three months. Veal Parm sandwich Thai Chili Wings, and a deep dish pizza. The Thai Chili wings were decent; nothing ground breaking, but I could eat them. The deep dish pizza wasn't a deep dish at all. It was a round Sicilian style pizza -- all dough. All the cheese was stuck to the top of the box. I opened it when I got it to the vehicle before I drove home. The manager offered to put more cheese on and rebake it! The look on my face was that of sheer puzzlement. It wasn't a true deep dish pizza in any sense or form, so I was happy to give it back for a refund. The veal parm looked awful. There is a picture below. Over cooked. My guess is cooked in batches a week ago, then refried. Not fresh. There was barely any sauce or cheese on it and the portion was pathetic. I did not take one bite. I immediately took it back and asked, who I believe to be the manager if she would eat this. She said, "I probably would." There is the problem, no standards. Another man came out of the kitchen to see this pathetic excuse for a sandwich. I asked him if he made it. He shook his head no and put his hands up to not take the blame for this. I don't know of anyone that would take credit for this sandwich. I was also given a refund. I will not be back. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. That sandwich was almost $10. Management gave me no problems, and promptly refunded me for the poor kitchen execution. read more

Yikes this place was bad. The lobster bisque tasted like it was from a can. Their ranch dressing seemed like hidden valley from the tub. Their fried mushrooms are basically oil soaked breadcrumb balls. When you bit into them, hot oil squirts out. We only ate two before realizing they were unedible. The waitress didn't ask why we didn't eat them or if we liked them. She just took the plate away (maybe she's used to them being uneaten). I ordered the garlic pasta (simple enough you'd think... garlic, olive oil, broccoli). Well, the garlic was completely charred back and tasted like ash. I tried to pick all the garlic pieces out in order to eat it. Pasta was also overcooked. The salad that preceded it had brown chunks of iceberg lettuce. Overall, there was nothing fresh about this place. It was lastly unpleasant to overhear the waitress be very snobby with the chef who snapped at him "I CAN HEAR YOU! IM NOT DEAF!!" when he rang the bell to indicate our food was ready (they may have been joking, not sure of the dynamic between them). Positives: cute, cozy decor. The eggplant sandwich was good. The weekend chocolate martini special caught my eye so four of us stopped by for dinner. Soups, salads and entrees were all excellent. Chili, lobster bisque and Caesar salads were pre-dinner. Dinner was shrimp fra diavolo (definitely spicy so the dish lived up to its name), shrimp Alfredo, stuffed shells and veal piccata were so good. Our server was on point and friendly and the bartender even checked on our table to see if we needed more drinks. Definitely stopping at this hidden gem again. read more

Beware the prices online are not accurate apparently. Our takeout entrées that were listed as 16.50 and 15.50 on the menu were somehow $22.50 each. Willing to pay the price but the chicken Parm was two frozen chicken patties with cheese. Not homemade/authentic. My eggplant Parmesan was only three mediocre pieces and a handful of pasta. I understand restaurants have been hurting but skimping on the meals while increasing prices does no good. Maybe this place is good for pizza, burgers & sandwiches but our pasta meals we horrible! My shrimp scampi was floating in lemon water. This place used to have great food and good sized portions. The last two times I was extremely disappointed. My last visit I purchased a small Sausage Parm sandwich. Where do I begin? For starters, I ordered Seltzer with lemon for my son and myself. The waitress brought us water with lemon and failed to mention that they didn't have Seltzer. I would have preferred bottled water instead of tap water. Next came the salad...I asked for balsamic vinaigrette... Got plain, balsamic vinegar. I asked the waitress and she then offered Italian dressing. That was only oil, not dressing. The final disappointment was the veal piccata... It was positively the worst I ever had. I was charged $17.50 for over-cooked linguini and what amounted to one very small, naked (the veal is usually dreged in flour) veal medallion that was cut into little tiny scraps and sprinkled atop the overcooked linguini. I've never seen this dish prepared this way...l suspect the veal was cut up in order to make it appear to be an adequate serving. What it looked like was regurgitated, little strips of meat. Normally, one would expect at least two (2) average sized veal cutlets laid on top of some sort of al dente pasta. Needless to say the waitress became naturally put off by my honest appraisal of the meal I was served. She then relayed my dissatisfaction to the "cook" who proceeded to stare and smirk at me like I was obviously mistaken. Thankfully, I don't live in PA... Just passing through; so it's safe to say I will never return. Too bad this site doesn't allow you to post pictures because they one I took of the veal was laughable. read more

This is a friendly restaurant that serves so-so food -- but a good value for the money. The people who run it are really nice, and the service is too -- so it's hard to find too much fault with them. The restaurant is divided into a bar area, which usually draws a lively local crowd, and the restaurant area, which draws a "family-friendly" crowd. Pop music from a radio plays usually too loudly and competes for one's attention with sports from the ubiquitous flat screen TV. (Am I the only one who resents these distractions? When I go to a restaurant with someone, I don't want to have to compete with multiple electronic media for my companion's attention.) In summer, they set up tables in a little courtyard outside, which is much more pleasant! The pizza is so-so -- the crust is pedestrian, and they cover up flaws by piling on more cheese. They also have a full menu of pastas, meat dishes, salads, subs and other sandwiches, and desserts. I suspect most of the food is bought frozen and heated up. But for a basic meal at a modest price, it's fine. read more

I'm not sure I've ever eaten anything but their pizza, and their pizza isn't bad. but it's not jaw-dropping good either. bartender is quite friendly and will remember you after a few visits. she mixes good strong drinks which are exceptionally inexpensive. tho they have all your standard liquors and beers, they are lacking in top shelf liquors, craft beers, and flavored/infused liquors. this has more to do with the preferences of the locals who frequent the place, than a sign of a weak bar. they have an outdoor patio which is open during warmer months and are conveniently located right at the I-78 and Rt 863/New Smithville exit. the parking lot is stone and sloped, making it a slight challenge to park my bike. seems like a lot of regulars know each other. a good meal and plenty of drinks won't break your budget. if you needed to find a place to go 3-4 times a week without breaking the bank, DeMarco's would surely fit the bill. read more
