When we returned with friends, I had the meat lasagna, a salad with Italian dressing, and the calamari again. The lasagna was outstanding--rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The menu is extensive, with plenty of choices for everyone, and the quality of the food truly stands out. My wife is a beautiful Italian American, and her ancestors in this country were among the wave of Italians who adapted Italian cooking to Italian-American cooking. And the deep dish of Godfathers resembles the deep dish Italian pizza of her youth. Closed on Wilmington, but.... Godfathers is moving to a defunct Kentucky Fried Chicken location on Clyo and Wilmington. No evidence of work yet, and we expect Godfathers to be open February 2026.

The restaurant looks nice and there is limited seating. When I got home to try the pizza, it was visually appealing. However, when I tasted it I felt it was dry and I could barely taste the hamburger or pepperoni. It was there, I think, but it was hard to tell as it appears the pepperoni and hamburger was buried under the cheese. The crust was good but other than the black olives it was pretty flavorless. Also, at $3 a pop for each topping, I was expecting more. That's a bit expensive, to me, considering what I got and how it tasted. I would not recommend. The pizza came to around $30, with a tip, and there are better thin crust pizza options that are less expensive. I would not go again.
