i am writeing this review because of the experience i had useing difflies drains for a french drain and a sewer connection. Dennis was the person that came out to bid on the job. once everything was agreed on it started to go down hill. the first 2 times they were going to start they never showed up , never called and couldnt tell me when hey would be there to start the job. i took 2 days off to be there for them , wasted my time. when they finally started they had a skeleton crew. one laboror had just started the other did not want to be there. it was a chore to get them to commit to when they were going to show up. one of the workers were served a no contact order while he was working in hole in my yard. he quit 2 days later. a couple of the workers were good people but the company was a mess. i did understand that dennis was sick and was trying to run the job but i had 3 different people show up to try to finish the job. I have learned that anytime you have work done on your house ypu need to keep a close eye on contractors because they are there to make money and start the next job. thats fine, thats the idea of a buisness. they cut corners every chance they could and made a mess. i still have dried cement on my back patio and on the side of my house from them mixing it for the floor. the french drain was covered in the wrong cement makeing it look like a job a kid did. After working for years in construction i couldnt understand how they were still conducting buisness . equipment was falling apart. you never knew if and when they would show up. and when they were finally done i was asked by one of the workers to make out my final check to an individuale person instead of the company because they didnt know if they were going to be paid. what i saw was very unprofessional. I was glad when everything was finally done but the thing that made me write this review which is the first one i ever did was when a pump that they had installed broke down and i called for a replacement they brought me a new one that wasnt even in the same class of the original. the person who brought it didnt even know how to install it. when i told them i wanted the same sump pump that they originally installed and paid for i was told that i would ave to wait. sisnce then i have called the office at least 20 rimes withing a couple months. office is run by the mother and daughter in law and they did everything to not talk to me. never returned calls and never contacted me. ive tried over a year to fix this before i decided to write this review. this is a warning to anyone thinking of using this company They were the cheapest and they showed why. I called them for sump pump emergency service and was told they would be over by noon. They never showed up. I called several times through out the day asking when they would arrive and was told the tech would call back when en-route. No call and nobody ever showed up. Don't waste your time!! read more

I have called 3 times trying to get them to come out to provide a quote. Never received a call back. Don't bother wasting your time or energy on these guys. You shouldn't have to beg to give someone the opportunity for a job. read more

They installed a new sewer line for me ,no regrets at all. They worked with me on my timeline, answers all my questions ahead to set the correct expectations and gave me a very good experience They did professional work, completed on time at a good price with no stories I can but praise them. read more

Main drain backed up. Called Dennis Diffley & Sons and they came out within a few hours. Pulled a disgusting amount of grime and tree roots out of the line. Everything is running great now. Update: A large sinkhole has opened up above the septic tank they were supposed to collapse and fill. Unfortunately this is under a large deck that was built over that spot, putting it's structural integrity in question. Called Diffley twice. Both times told I "was on the list." I am impressed with the level of customer service and the outstanding professionalism this company displays. I called to make an appointment for a problem we were having with water backing up in the laundry room, to my surprise they offered an appointment that afternoon at no extra charge. The technician came out and was extremely experienced and knowledgeable. He found the issue within 10 minutes the problem was resolved within an hour. Never use this company!! They never fixed the problem, refused to get our sump pump working which they caused to stop working. They would not try to get the pump started which shut down because they jetted the lines wo taking the pumps out. All the debris from jetting the lines blocked and plugged the pump! They left a mess of water all over the floors. I called the office after they left. They never called back! We had to get an energy service the service the pump! They are horrible! read more

Had trouble with a clogged toilet and the plumber next door said it was out of his league. We got this guy from Yelp of course. We called and he offered to add us on to the end of the day. Got it running with no problems. They told her not to waste money on commercial drain cleaners and just pour bleach once a month. Very polite, nice looking young men made it easy to hand over a hundred dollars. I concur with other reviewers- a 5 star operation. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Dennis Diffley Drain Services. We called Monday morning after our toilet backed up and they were there in an hour. Our cleanout cap was hidden and they had to go and get our property info and they still had everything done in a short time at a very reasonable price. read more

I CANNOT say enough great things about these guys! I was pregnant and needed to relocate 2 kids into new rooms, but our basement would NOT stop flooding. they came in highly recommend so of course I expected the price to be insane. Not only were their ideas different form the 3 other quotes, (which after reviewing made way more sense) but they were not the most expensive at all. I am very happy with their work. they made a stressful situation a much calmer one. You don't want a crazy pregnant lady coming at cha! The guys were very nice, and respectful to my house. One of the company's I ever called.they couldnot fix water coming in house through walls.came to house four different times to try and fix left mess all the owner said is she has internal problems.never showed up when they said they would.finally they quit and on way to court .They will sweet talk you and take your money becarful. Very professional. They do good, reliable work at reasonable (although not spectacularly low) prices. They jackhammered up our basement, excavated our front yard, and replaced a blocked main drain line several years ago; we haven't had any problems since then. read more

Don't hire this company to do anything with water not even a hole in your garden hose. Hired them in may 2018 writing this in July 2018 job never finished made mess .Cement all over walkway and glass sliding door track.took money never came back to finish job. This company is the definition of unprofessional and incompetent. About a month ago, I called requesting some basic services (riser installation and a pump out). The receptionist said a technician would call me. This never happened. I called three times over the next three weeks requesting the same services. Again, I was told someone would call to schedule service. Finally, I called a fourth time and finally I was able to get a technician scheduled for a date and time. Well, on that date and time the technician calls and cancels and asks to reschedule. I agreed to reschedule for two days later. Well, that new date and time comes and goes and they're a no show. I called the main number and they seemed (yet again) to have no idea who I was or what services I was seeking (I must have given them my name, number, and address a dozen times). The only reason I persisted in trying to use Diffley & Sons was because the previous home owner used them. I figured they knew the property and that this would be relatively hassle free. Big mistake on my part. After all was said and done, this company did nothing but waste my time (including two re-arranged work days so I could be home when they were supposed to come by). When I call what I think is a reputable company, I expect to have the job done properly the first time. This company sent a very inexperienced young family member to do a job at my house. It was horrendous. They did completely redo the work, however they refuse to clean up the cement spills on my driveway. I have asked them to return the driveway to its original condition and the owner refuses. She says I have cost her too much money and I am too picky. If the job was initially done correctly, they would not have had to redo it and cost this owner "too much money". Don't use them or be sure you watch their every move and inspect the job before they leave. read more

I get very bad experience with Dennis Diffley, I have requested to call to inform me, no call, no show. The next day, They give 10 min prior notice, I was not able to see did they do the job, their back office support was so bad, and they just don't care. Very very bad customer services. I don't know how a business with such service can still be in business. read more

Good experience! They were: flexible about appt. times, prompt, friendly, unclogged my drain quickly and efficiently and, with a coupon from Angie's List, charged me a competitive rate. He also suggested a product for ongoing drain maintenance. I would definitely recommend this company to unclog your drain. read more

Prices seemed a bit high for the quality delivered. Response was good however they were not here long for the money that was spent.

Recently purchased house and our basement was getting wet -- but we have a French drain and two sump pumps. Should not be happening. The company we've used in the past at our old house is out of business. First, I called on a weekend. The on call person called me back in less than 30 min and did some trouble shooting over the phone. He helped me decide that it was not an emergency so we did not need to incur the $100 fee to have him come over. We could wait until Monday and get a free estimate on how to fix the problem (which we thought was two dead sump pumps). Called Monday and got an appointment for Tuesday. Technician came out (a bit a late, but that was quickly forgiven). He took the time to explain the systems in the basement -- why they were done like they were, how they could be better and why they didn't need to be changed because they work fine. He also solved the problem of the pumps...one was a power issue (battery back up was hooked to power, but pump wasn't) and one was a float issue. Since it wasn't really any work done, no charge. I can tell you I will call Diffley to make any improvements in the system should we need them or for any other services they perform that we may need. Great service. read more

Quoted a price prior to work and charged a 50% more when billed. This company either way you look at it charges way to much money. Apparently, $20+ a minute. Thats right, $20+ dollars a minute. Received a bill for $300 for a simple fix that took them ten minutes time from set up to finish. read more
