Pleasantly surprised with this Denny's location. I was very skeptical because it's so close to the freeway and next to a Motel 6 but after searching for a better Denny's in my area (South Gate Denny's is awful!) we decided to give this one a shot. We visited in Saturday, 2/17 around 12pm. Driving up to the parking lot, I was not convinced this would be a good Denny's, the location isn't the best but we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in, the front area was not busy and was pretty clean. The young man who greeted us put our name on the list and we waited, that was probably the only negative about the visit, we waited for about 15 minutes even though we noticed lots of empty tables, but we figured it could have been due to lack of servers so no big deal. When we were finally seated, we were greeted by our server Teresa who was absolutely fantastic! She was so nice and friendly and very helpful and checked in on us a lot. The food was typical Denny's food which is what I expected, so no complaints there. Overall, our experience was great, Teresa our server was awesome! We will definitely be coming back to this Denny's location, it's a little farther from home but worth it because it's clean, not too busy, and the service is awesome! We stopped here for breakfast yesterday before proceeding to Knott's Berry Farm. We were pleased that it was reasonably calm and quiet-- we were worried it would be busy at 830am! We requested to eat in their outdoor dining area since it was a pleasant mildly warm morning (though there was plenty of indoor seating to be had as well!). Our waitress was extremely chipper, friendly, and efficient with her service. She even helped my dad select the best priced deal to get what he wanted to eat, and offered GF English muffin when he told her he has to eat Gluten Free. She made sure our drinks were always refilled. Definitely an exemplary employee (I wish I could recall her name to give her a shout-out! She was a middle aged Asian woman with an accent, if that helps management identify her, because she should get Employee of the Month in my opinion!) The food of course was delicious-- there's a reason I love eating at Denny's. My mom enjoyed one of their fun seasonal offerings-- the "red white and blue" pancakes (strawberries, cream cheese icing, and blueberries). I got one of their new menu items, the eggs Benedict, and yum they were cooked just right in terms of egg runny-ness. The hash browns could've been fried harder but that's okay. Stopped here for a quick breakfast before 11 o'clock appointment. This Denny's it's right next To the freeway and very conveniently located. Parking is ample although some of it is taken up with the outdoor dining area. Right next to a motel with additional parking. Teresa was my server and she was excellent. She warmed up my coffee before my meal arrived. She was polite very quick and all-around excellent timing. Ordered the 55+ omelette with hashbrowns and gluten-free English muffin. only a few minutes and the food arrived... it was hot and delicious. Also reasonably priced especially for the retired menu menu. What can you say it's a Denny's and this place is apparently operating at a much higher level than the previous average rating indicated. Well deserved five stars. My family and I came here after our brother's closing night of his musical play (about maybe 30-40 people) yet the service was still quick and amazing. The food was great and the wait time was short, considering the amount of people in our party plus others who dined there that night. Though it looked like they might have been short-staffed, the workers were kind and helpful during our loud and crazy evening. Did I mention the food was great? Hungry but everywhere is closed for the night? Denny's got you! My friend and I were hungry one night and realizing that a quick fast food stop was not an option, we decided to grab a bite at Denny's. It was a familiar location as I have been here drunk or hungover entering college but have not returned for many years. Sitting down, I was craving something different as I remember always getting myself a slam or skillets back then. It was then when my friend recommended me the sirloin steak. A steak at Denny's? I wasn't sure if this was an idea I wished to follow through with but decided to give it a try as her recommendations have never been bad. While ordering, she whispered the choices for the sides as she already knew her favorites; corn, mashed potato and country gravy. My sirloin steak meal came out in about 10-15(?) minutes. I begin with the sides, starting with the mashed potato. It was a bit salty initially but after pouring the gravy (country, don't do the brown) over, the two flavors harmonized well. The corn had a bit of a pepper spice to it that gave it an enriching flavor. At last, the main course: sirloin steak. It was just as described by my friend, for the price it was good. Given I had cooked many steaks and ribeyes working as a cook, I had a bit higher standard for the quality of meat; but knowing I paid for about a meal at a burger place, it was good for what it was. Only complaint is I wish I had gotten it medium rare as personally the rare was not cooked to my liking (i.e. without proper searing and the insides could have been cooked a bit more) but again the chefs are not professionals. Overall, the experience was as I expected. One goes to Denny's for the convenience of it being open late, not for quality food or exceptional service. If you are craving a sirloin steak past midnight (or honestly any time past dinner time), consider Denny's! read more

Had a super late meal with the family at 3am, spare of the moment. Ronald was our waiter, very friendly he had this very upbeat attitude. He was on top of everything, kept checking in on us. This just made our visit that much better. Customer service is a big thing for me, so when I experience this it just makes me feel more comfortable and relaxed. Was very impressed about everything. The customer was exceptional, the timing was faster than anticipated. It's Veterans Day so it was pretty busy but they took care of us within a few minutes. The appetizer was brought out right away. Condiments and all needed things were already on our table. The table was just wiped when we arrived as well as the seats. The food was really good and warm. Every year my friends and I love to come here after our event. This year we only came once, but it was enough. It was extremely busy when we went and it was evident that the workers were not ready for all of the people. The customer service was probably the worst I have ever experienced and it was bad the entirety of our meal. I'm only leaving a five star review for our server Ronnie. My friend group and I are regulars and we are lucky enough to have Ronnie as our server each time. Can Denny's corporate/ manager give him a raise or promotion?! I really think he's the one who keeps this location running during the night shift. Stellar customer service, quick, and friendly. We had to flag someone down a few times to get a few boxes .. and that was pulling teeth... when I went to go pay, the debit/credit card machine was acting weird when I put in my pin, it would input five numbers when I specifically pressed four numbers.
