This is ourfavorite Denny's to frequent and we travel farther because of their great food, fresh coffee, and consistently great service. My wife and I select from the Senior meal section and are never disappointed. Our most dynamic and attentive server is Angeline Z. (Zamacona: last name). She always has a gentle smile and listens carefully to our order every time. The food was okay, but the service was not good at all. We were seated and our order was taken, but after the food was delivered, everything went downhill. We were missing silverware, so we asked the girl who dropped off the food for it and also requested more drinks since our waitress never came back to check on us. We never received the silverware or the drinks. My husband had to eat his entire meal using my spoon. By the time we were completely finished eating, that's when the waitress finally came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. At that point, we were already ready to leave. My wife and I enjoy going to Denny's. We discovered this one in Bellflower. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and quiet. Our server this afternoon was very pleasant. she greeted us with a smile, seated us, and was very attentive. She gave us time to view the menu and answered questions. My wife, salmon plate came with wild rice and sweet corn as her two side orders. The corn was sweet, the wild rice was tender, and the salmon was grilled just right not too moist not too dry. I tried their new seasonal dinner plate. Fish and a choice of french fries or roasted potatoes, salad, or vegetables. I enjoyed the fish because it was fresh cod and was deep-fried just right. The salad, well it's a salad, but it was fresh. The roasted potatoes, however, we're not what I was expecting. They were a bit on the mushy side. Next time I would just go with french fries. The reason I gave this Denny's four stars was because our server was very pleasant. read more

This was my first visit to this Denny's location and the first time back to Denny's in many years. I was pleasantly surprised with the overall taste of the food. It was tasty and fresh. What set this experience apart was our server Shantier. She was absolutely WONDERFUL! Her cheerful, kind and genuine personality made our experience so special. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at a Denny's but this was horrible! Staff: Melanie p was our waitress and she was so bland. I asked for an additional plate so I could share my meal with my 3 year old and it never arrive, my son ended up eating off a napkin because I had already put hot sauce on the big plate. I asked for a refill on his apple juice and was told "we charge for refills" I have never been charge for an apple juice refill so I'm not sure if it's just this location or if she just wanted to charge extra thinking it would be an apple juice for my daughter who is one. I had a water cup for her were I poured a splash of apple juice to make her think she was having the same thing as her brother. She never came to check up on us after handing us the food until the end when she dropped off the check she asked " how's everything going" I told her well you forgot my sons plate and she just said "oh, sorry" then walked away super quickly. (Did not feel like a sincere apology) Food: we had breakfast and it was good although i asked for well done ham and it was not. The portions at this location are very small!!! I watered down my sons first apple juice which made it look like water so I thought i must have added too much water when I asked for the 2 nd apple juice I decided to try it myself first and it was already watered down so that was odd to me. Based on my experience, it seemed like this location is trying to save on their products, I received less food portions, watered down apple juice, and bad service. Typically I tip $15+ and this time I only tipped $5 out of respect but I would've preferred to leave no tip. Oh and one more thing, their emergency exit door doesn't even work, the employees kept going in and out through it without making a noice although there was a big red label that said emergency exit only will sound the alarm!!! We had an amazing breakfast experience! Our party of 13 was welcomed and accommodated with incredible service from the moment we arrived. Our orders were taken promptly, and everything came out quickly and perfectly prepared. A special thank you to our server, Maria H, who truly went above and beyond. She was attentive, friendly, and always on top of our needs, making sure everyone at our table was taken care of. It's not easy to manage a large group, but she handled it effortlessly. Today While eating my meal, I discovered that the piece of bread served with my order had visible mold on it. This was extremely concerning and unacceptable from a food safety standpoint. I immediately brought it to the attention of my server. Although she appeared shocked by what she saw, her only response was to bring me a replacement piece of bread. What was most disappointing was the lack of any apology from the server or management. No one came to address the situation, check on me, or acknowledge the seriousness of serving moldy food. Additionally, my meal was not removed from the bill or otherwise compensated despite the obvious issue. As a customer, I expect food to be served safely and for concerns involving food quality and safety to be handled professionally. Instead, I left feeling ignored and dissatisfied. This experience has completely undermined my confidence in this location, and I do not plan to come back to this location. read more

FYI!!! I was shocked to see little contents in a big container (no I didn't eat it yet, lol). The server still served it to us and didn't tell us anything about it before we left the restaurant and when we placed the order. The server even said it herself that she wouldn't have served it. And ALSO! Continued to explain to us when she saw us come back through the entrance doors, she KNEW what we were coming back for. Crazy! and she knew people would order this off the menu and come back to the restaurant for an explanation or a refund.The server that gave us this further explained to us that this is the exact amount of apple pie crisp that they give you if you were to be served in the restaurant. I tried to explain to them that disclosing the sizes would be different if in a take out box as opposed to dining in (since they are aware of it) but they wait for you to physically come back in to tell you that. The manager made it clear she was the MOD (manager on duty) thank GOODNESS! For that, but did not offer any resolution. But I did, I'd LOVE one refund to go, please. The server was constantly reminding us about serving portions and how they would look different, which we heard her the first time. There was no drama, no yelling, but advice being given. PLEASE TELL CUSTOMERS THAT TAKE OUT PORTIONS WILL LOOK DIFFERENT FROM DINE-IN( especially for desserts like this) OR change the container size to fit the portions not in a big container like the one in the picture. But will they take this advice? I sincerely would hope so. read more

Omelette was super oily, the veggies were either from someone else's plate and threw back on the grill to recook and put into my omelette the veggies were very charred & oily!!!! I mean REALLY?!?!? Saw who I'm assuming was the manager, since she was the only one wearing random color clothes, take fries from a plate and eat them. She knew I saw and then refused to be the one to bring my table our food, which I'm glad. Had that plate been mine it would've been sent back immediately. Not only eating off a customers plate, but going back and forth from cash handling to serving food to tables without washing her hands. Then when we went to check out immediately had an attitude. Shanteir was amazing! Had yet to come to this new Dennys in my hometown! Used to frequent the other location down the street off Rosecrans. We had the pleasure of being served by Shanteir. Since walking in, she greeted us amazingly and followed thru the entire stay. Our food came out faster than us probably deciding and her customer service skills and friendly ness were excellent! I have to leave a review of this Denny's. I normally don't care too much to review Denny's But this Denny's in particular stood out. My family and I have passed this restaurant many times and never thought about stopping by. We ended up going last minute and we were quite impressed. Upon walking in you are greeted with a smile, to my surprise the restaurant is very bright and modern. Nice decor for a Denny's. The server came to take our drink order and food order. Food came out very fast and piping hot. Everything tasted great! My kids were happy and so was I. Fresh hot coffee and attentive service all around. I placed an order online for me and my family and my husband went to go pick it up at the time it says it would be done. I got a confirmation email stating they received the order and what time it will be done. When my husband got there they said they didn't receive anything. I screen shotted the confirmation and sent it to my husband. He said they were ALL rude and unapologetic and that it seemed as if it was an inconvenience for them to make our food. We paid almost $100 for it. He got home after waiting there longer than he should. And they forgot his English muffin. And the onion rings were well over done. Went in yesterday for a grad dinner, Denise was our server and she was EXCEPTIONAL !!!! Brought a party of about 20 people and the service was fast and on point! They let us use the tv although there were network problems it was not a big deal. Worst Dennys I've ever been to! My family and I are frequent Sunday diners and decided to try a new Dennys. We stopped at the Bellflower location and were beyond disappointed. We were seated quickly but that was the only positive thing about our visit. The server didn't bring my daughter's order and never came back to check on us. I had to flag down someone cleaning tables to ask them to bring her order. The food was cold and the eggs were undercooked. The server didn't offer drink refills or check on us. The only other time we saw her was when she dropped off the check. I asked her for a milkshake to go when she dropped off the check and she was quick to add the charge to our bill but we waited 15 minutes for her to bring it before we gave up. We had to ask the cashier to remove the milkshake charge because we never received our drink. It's was relatively quiet so I couldn't give the benefit of it being busy. Guess I'll be sticking to our usual Denny's. read more
