The remodel is nice but there was a horrible smell. This is my second visit to this location and it did not smell before but this time it did. I checked to make sure I was not sitting near the restroom and it seemed to smell worse when the air came on. That's the reason for four stars. I ordered the new honey jalapeno bacon breakfast and it was delicious. Love the new bacon! My eggs were yummy and the hash browns were made just right. My server was nice it was a bit annoying to have to try to make eye contact each time I needed something. Otherwise the staff is friendly. read more

America's Favorite Diner, might just be my FAVORITE DINER again... It's been years since I visited a Denny's, not because of any personal experience I had, but Denny's as a brand definitely went through a rough period and since I was in a place that offered lots of choices for local diners and coffee shops, I was not loyal... I strayed. Currently I find myself in my new home and short on places to write. I prefer diners to taco stands for writing because I don't wanna get taco all over my notes, journals, or computers and when I'm writing I usually consume copious amounts of coffee. On the particular day I visited Denny's I had gone to 3 other local high profile places in the area and wasn't able to get comfortable. I was Goldilocks wandering the wilderness in need of gluten free food, a comfortable seat, a place to charge my laptop, Wi-Fi and an endless cup of coffee. Enter Denny's! And my wonderful server Tammy. Tammy is one of those diner servers that makes you want to tip extra and stay longer just because she's so pleasant to be around. I was surprised to find updates to the menu, in addition to their standard the "Grand Slam" breakfast and other typical breakfast fare. Denny's also serves a full menu, including lunch and dinner items and because they are looking out for us the boast a $2 $4 $6 $8 menu making it easy to choose what's in your budget. You won't likely go broke at Denny's for any meal, but it's especially nice to know you can get full on good food for a reasonable price. And by good, I mean fresh, everyday food. Denny's no frills approach to food is Americana at it's core, so I was happy to see that they took the time to throw out some lighter fare like the Fit Slam, which is a lighter version of the Grand Slam featuring scrambled egg whites, fresh spinach, and grape tomatoes, turkey bacon, seasonal fruit, and English muffin. Denny's also offers a Fit Fare Veggie Skillet where home fries and vegetables take center stage with the egg whites. I had a hard time deciding, but ultimately went with what wouldn't put me to sleep from fullness, the Fit Slam. I asked if I could sub out some things and Tammy was super accommodating! I swapped my bacon for hashbrowns and my English muffin for a gluten-free English (all GF items are clearly marked) and yes, yes, y'all it was on! I sat and ate and wrote for 3 hours because my booth was comfortable, I had a outlet to charge my laptop, free Wi-Fi and copious amounts of fresh coffee.. In the course of that time while I worked on my food, which was out in less than 7 minutes, Tammy keep my coffee fresh and even offered to reheat my food without once giving me the "How long are you going to be here" look. All in all Denny's exceeded my standards and I look forward to doing more writing and eating there on a regular basis. read more

Phenomenal experience here at this location. I'll keep it short. I ordered food online and had it picked up by Postmates however upon receiving my order and looking over it at my desk I noticed it was wrong and overall I was initially dissatisfied(mainly because I like to eat and I was starving :-) but I called in and spoke to David the general manager whom after speaking let me know that he would not only prepare the food from my order but would deliver it as well!!!!! He delivered my food and let me tell you...this guy had PERSONALITY!!! He honestly didn't have to do this kind gesture at all but he did and for that I'm GRATEFUL!!! It took them forever to sit us down, then took forever to take our orders. Then some people were seated next to us after they took our orders and they got their food 30 mins later (which is still unacceptable) and we STILL did not have our food. Today I came to the Denny's here and Brandon and their milkshake machine was broken so the manager approved for dessert replacement on my take-out order without any problems. The service is really bad here. We came at 1 in the morning and after 15 minutes we had to ask if we could at least order our drinks. It wasn't busy so I don't know what the hold up was. Then my daughters burger came out with with a piece of her bun missing and mold on the rest. When we told the waiter all he kept saying was I know I know. He wouldn't let you talk. He never came back to refill our drinks and there was a dirty table next to us that stayed dirty the whole time we were there. And when he would take our plates he would just sit them on another table near us. I would not recommend eating here. read more

Ok to start off... I am very dissatisfied with this dennys. We go in the restaurant and got seated.. 15 min go by and waitress never came to even ask us if we wanted anything to drink. We had to go get the waitress just to get drinks. There was a table next to us and they had left, we watched the waiter walk over there and take tip but never even cleaned table off. We had also gotten an appetizer, when we finished it he grabbed our plates from appetizer and sat them on another table near us. The whole time we sat there tables stayed dirty. We get our food and we noticed my nieces hamburger bun was missing a chunk of bread. We stopped the waiter before he could even walk away and was asking about the chunk missing out of bread, meanwhile we noticed the bun had mold on that same side where chunk was missing from. So that tells us they seen some mold on it already and tore bread off. While we are telling the waiter there was mold on her bread he says I know I know I know. We didnt think then to take pics of it which I wish we would have. Then when we get receipt he still had her meal on there like we should have still paid full price when they messed up pretty bad. When we are checking out I said something to him about that burger being on receipt full price. I said something to him about it and he started over talking me like he didnt want me to talk. In the end we ended up getting a little discount. I would not recommend this dennys to my worse enemy. I was very impressed with my server Naam, he took our order (mine's, my wife's and my son and daughter) without writing any of it down, I was skeptical, but gave him the benefit of the doubt. To my surprise, when they brought our food, EVERYTHING came in EXACTLY as me and my family had requested...almost as if he prepared it all himself. Very impressive Listening Skills from Naam. Horrible service my mother wife and aunt went in for dinner on a Tuesday at 545 sat down ordered waited 35 minutes for their food and while they were waiting their server was mopping the floor. The food came out finally and was cold. They told this to the waitress and she said " what exactly do you want me to do Microwave it". They said they would not like it at all. The waitress went to talk to her manager Candice who moments later came out screaming talking about how it was Christmas and that there are homeless people that would be happy to eat that food. This was on December 10th not Christmas and although I'm sure there are homeless people that need a meal my family was there to pay for a meal and not be treated with disrespect. Went in today with my family and had the most crappy service. First, the server rushed us on our drink order. Then when my husband tried to ask for more sugar, the waiter just walked off ignoring my husband's request. My husband had to get sugar from another table. Then my daughter orders a burger with fries and instead, the server brings out a burger with onion rings so my daughter had to wait for her fries to be made. The waiter didn't refill our drinks when empty and barely came to check on our table. He was too busy chatting away at another table giving them decent service meanwhile ignoring us. The food wasn't that great either. My chicken strips were overcooked. Finally we get up to pay and my husband left a $5 tip on a $40 bill since the service sucked and the server was even more rude to us when we were leaving. Hmmm....I wonder why you got a crap tip. Well. It's a Denny's. I definitely went into it expecting a mediocre experience and it exceeded my expectations for whatever that is worth. I went into a crowded restaurant at 3:30 AM, post bar, with several of my friends. Surprisingly, the bathrooms were clean despite the large amount of people in various states of drunkeness I witnessed walking in and out. I ordered a burger and fries and left satisfied for the quality of food I received at that time of night, and for only $6 (off their new 2-4-6-8 menu). Would I go there for a burger during the day? Absolutely not. But for the middle of the night, this Denny's was a solid choice. The only real negative of the experience was our service. We never received any refills on our drinks, but it did look as though our server was taking care of half of the busy restaurant, so I can let that slide. read more

Who hasn't been to Denny's? I've been here several times in the past, I live close so I come 2-3 times a month but this morning was especially amazing! The restaurant is packed, they have people at the door waiting to be sat and people at the register waiting to pay. It's so packed that when I came in with my daughter, I almost left but I'm so glad I didn't. It's Valentine's Day so of course the wait is going to be a little crazy, at least that's what I thought. We were sat within 10 minutes of arriving, I preferred a booth but we were sat at the bar. My daughter just had her tooth pulled so she ordered an Oreo shake, I ordered the lumberjack slam. Breakfast is always good, the service always left me iffy until this morning. I had a small problem with my bacon and they fixed it immediately. Martin is a manager in training and couldn't be nicer, his position is well deserved as his people skills are amazing. Scott the GM is AMAZING. Their teamwork is one to be emulated!!!! They cranked out food like no other!!! It was amazing to see the servers helping one another. Customers left happy! I know, it's just breakfast but when you have amazing service with a great staff, it's easy to love it that much more! This was by far the WORST experience I've ever had with a restaurant. I ordered the Salted CARAMEL banana pancakes with SCRAMBLED EGGS WITH CHEESE with a ORANGE fanta. I ended up getting banana pancakes with no caramel, eggs over easy, with a coke. Clearly the person working there didn't read the screen or needs someone else to read it for them. We even left a really good tip after our first experience with her, despite her poor attitude, we will not this time. Other than that, this Denny's is OK. I love their double cheeseburgers and the steak that they use on the omelettes and the salad!! Their food is very reasonable I comparison to IHOP and First Watch. I usually can't eat all of my meal and I have to take some to-go, which I can't do at the Waffle House. I really love the remodeling that occurred as well. The waitresses are always nice. They even have a balloon guy that makes cool ballon characters for kids on the weekends. My only complaint is that the bottom bun of my double cheeseburger has been soggy on several occasions when I order take out. read more

Hey, had a very good dinner. Everything cooked and plated nicely. Fresh, good flavor. Very hospitable server. Started out poorly with the staff all busy, and "He" at the front playing with the stapler. Instead of seating us he yelled for the busy staff members to stop what they were doing so that he may continue playing with his stapler; I assume that takes priority over customers. We were in the restaurant for 90 minutes, so we were able to watch the interactions between other staff and him. The others were always quicker to acknowledge and seat patrons; although I will say that when he "chose" to seat someone he appeared courteous and friendly. read more

I don't like Denny's personally, but my fiancé wanted to go so I gave it another try. That was a mistake. Waffle House is much better in my opinion. We ordered orange juice and it tasted bad, like the machine it's in is dirty and hasn't been cleaned in a while. We both ordered the super slam, the sausage was really pink inside and the bacon was paper thin and should not even be considered edible, it didn't taste like anything. We asked the waitress if the sausage was suppose to be pink and after asking the chef, he said it was as it was precooked. It looked too gross to eat so I did not bother asking for more that had been cooked longer. My fiancé did and it was better, less pink but still tasted awful. The only okay item was the pancakes and hash-browns . My over easy eggs were really slimy a little less cooked than I'd like but I dealt with it because I was hungry. Our server Brittany was nice and didn't know half of what we thought about the food because we didn't say anything. Overall won't be back. I was super grossed out after the meal. read more

Worst visit to a Denny's. Dried food on my coffee cup. As well as two out of the three serving plates we were given. I could forgive all this, but then my ultimate omelette came. It was served to me in a puddle of grease on my plate. This to would not be a deal breaker as I could sop that up with a few napkins "I'm not picky" but then I noticed a raw mushroom hanging out of the omelette. So I opened it up to look inside. The omelet was full of raw mushrooms as if they had been thrown in after the fact. This location needs some serious work on attention to detail. Managment is obviously not training or holding its personnel accountable. So the product they put out is substandard to even what you would expect from a Denny's.
