Everyone knows Denny's, so I just want to say how nicely our party of 8 were treated. Very cordial hosting and seating. We had a server in training and Kaydence was friendly and efficient. Our visit was last Monday, Aug 10, at a little after noon. With the AARP 15% discount, our tab was $125. Very reasonable for 8 adults. I had the Everyday Value Slam, still a good deal at 7.99. Had to leave after over a half hour because we hadn't been waited on at all. There was only one other group of people there. Shame. We had just won at the casino and planned on very generously tipping but we didn't even receive drinks. Didn't catch the name of the waitress but could hear her talking about us as we left. I've been here a few times. I'm not from the area so Every time I look up Dennys I'm led here and already hungry. Each time the service has been terrible. Very disorganized, staff always servers always have an excuse for poor service. Long waits for food to come out. Food is usually prepared incorrectly or missing items. The servers almost always look dazed or on their phones. The place always feels empty and drab. This last visit my meal was never made. Came here today to have lunch with my mom The man who brought us to our seats was very nice, and then our waitress was really great. My mother and I both ordered what we wanted. She built her own slam breakfast, and I ordered the lumberjack slam like I always do. It came out fairly fast and was very good. Everything was cooked perfectly this time. This afternoon I was part of a group of seven that had a VERY LATE lunch here. I don't think I had ever waited so long for a meal in a restaurant. When we arrived, hardly anybody else was there (more customers gradually showed up). My group had to wait several minutes before we were seated and then over twenty minutes passed until drinks started arriving including water. Two of us ordered coffee that was served in dirty mugs. It was another long wait for more coffees to arrive. Twice I went in the bathroom that had a sticky floor. Probably an hour passed before our food finally arrived, which was okay. I'm assuming this Denny's was shorthanded, but to the best of my knowledge no apology was offered for the slow service. I was also a bit creeped out by one of the male employees having long colored fingernails. I thought this was supposed to be a family friendly restaurant. Fortunately, one of the women in our group paid for everyone's meals. On our way home, a pastor I'm staying with commented he wouldn't have left a tip. I don't blame him! read more

Learned my lesson...I thought I was trying a new burger place so I ordered...then googled the address and to my suprise BAMMMM its friggin' Dennys. Friday afternoon, not busy. No issues with service or food here. Told the waitress that we were an incomplete party of 4 and she was very patient with us. It was extremely easy to to split our check even after applying a 20% coupon to it. Went here on a Sunday evening. About 8 tables were occupied. Only one table had food. It took about an hour and fifteen minutes for us to get our food. I don't think more than one table ever had food. They were also out of orange juice. How does a restaurant that is more or less synonymous with breakfast run out of orange juice. There is a cluster of Dennys in Flagstaff, Williams, Grand Canyon area that are the same -- unbelievably slow. I can't fathom how such a place can exist year after year. read more

Please don't eat here or work here this place needs to be shut down immediately. They have rats and roaches running around the place. Made me feel so uncomfortable that I barely wanted to even show up to work anymore. The management refuses to do anything about it because the managers are too busy smoking in the back and leaving the doors open causing rats to come in. This is the worst restaurant I've ever received service from, not only did they false advertise on an item they didn't even have but still got charged for it and when I received something else the food tasted like someone threw it into the microwave for a minute and then took it back out. This is not our go-to Denny's, that would be the one on Maple in Amherst. But this one is located in between home and my 'rents, and is the one where I spent a big chunk of time as a kid, so we still end up here from time to time. We stopped by last weekend. Compared to our closer Maple location, this Denny's is not as clean. We were seated at a table that had easily visible garbage underneath it. The floor is not very clean in general. Our service was decent. The waitress was accurate with our order, but was slow to bring more coffee and water. She was friendly enough, but at a diner the coffee should be quicker. The food we ordered was good. We kept it cheap off the Value Menu, LOVE those deals. The hub'ster had the Steak Skillet and I had the Eggs in a Basket. At $8 and $6 bucks a pop, it's hard to complain about much. The food came out hot and tasty. My husband's eggs were underdone from what he had asked for, but all in all a solid bargain meal. We'll undoubtedly be back to this Denny's. When you walk in, if you make a right, before they remodeled there was a big circular booth on that side of the restaurant. I had many a meal with my fam' in that big booth, and so many fond memories in that corner, especially of my gram. Nostalgia, good deals, reliable food and reasonable service will keep us patrons of this Denny's until we're old farts too, I'm sure. read more

Went in here for a late breakfast today, and it was busy. No booth available but they did put us at a table in the back after suggesting a tiny table near the kitchen (no thanks). There's three dining rooms and the place looks and feels old. The waitress was super nice and we were able to substitute toast for the pancakes. Everything was made perfectly and the waitress was on her toes and always had a smile on her face. The only grief was that it took me forever to get a table only because the Manager had to cash people out first. Then when I had to pay it was another long wait because of people paying. Not good. Denny's can be a great place to get late night food sometimes, sometimes it's an irritating place to sit and get ignored, and other times the food is just awful. This was my first time coming to this specific location and I could tell from the moment I walked in that the employee's were working extra hard because they were understaffed and overwhelmed with people dining in. Usually I'm in bed by 11 but thanks to my girlfriend talking smack all day about not being able to stay up, I totally stayed up and for that she had to take me here. I want to clarify from the get-go that I think anyone who complains, throw's hissy fits, or acts like a complete prick to employees in situations like this are the actual scum of the earth. I've never worked in the restaurant industry but I get what being understaffed is like, the team did a fantastic job all around and I applaud them for that. Once we were seated our waitress did a great job at providing drinks (orange hi-c for those who must know), taking orders, and providing refills throughout the night (I really like orange hi-c). I ended up trying the new Bacon Gouda burger that came with bacon cheddar tots on the side (I think these were the actual reason I ordered the meal). When it comes to the food itself, it was kind of 50/50 for me. I really enjoyed the burger (way more then I thought I would) and may actually return to Denny's to see if the other burgers are as good as this one, however, the bacon cheddar tots did not live up to the hype for me and tasted kind of "blah". I don't know what it was about them but the flavours just didn't really pop out and it was just a big let down. Overall, I want to give kudos again to the staff working on Saturday night for handling a ton of customers with very minimal staff. The burger was fantastic and when it comes to the tots, not everything can always be as good as it looks in the picture. Woke up just craving either IHOP or Dennys and this was the closet one to me. I dined by myself because is good to eat alone sometimes. Walked in and it took a while before I got seated definitely appreciated the front desk girl seating me away from everyone else ( I needed the alone time) I ordered the basic breakfast slam with the bacon and sussage, along with orange juice and coffee for a pretty good price. My food came early, though the presentation was horrible. They didn't wipe the plate or anything, just sloppy. Non the less I was super hungry so I didn't care. I hated the bacon, is was too crunchy, all I tasted was grease and crunch and no bacon flavour (disappointed) and the pancakes at first tasted weird but later on I could taste the buttermilk (I think my order was rushed and it wasn't even busy). I certainly enjoyed the coffee, egg whites and sussage and the orange was pretty tasty. Overall it was a basic experience, nothing stood out. Stopped in for breakfast food around 1120. We got seated immediately and our waitress Mallory was prompt in bringing our drinks which was nice and carbonated to perfection!! My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak which he cleaned his plate! I got the LumberJack slam which I've never had and holy bajeezus it's a lot of food!!! We added gravy and onions to our hashbrowns at my boyfriends request and they were soooo good!! The pancakes aren't the best and the maple syrup they serve is thick and kinda gross but it did its job. All in all it was a great meal with great company and Mallory was very chipper and friendly!
