Went for breakfast, had delicious omelette and home fries. Bottomless coffee was very fresh. Waitress was super, fast, and very nice. Didn't have to wait for anything. We LOVE this diner. Our family has been going at least once a month for the last 8 or so years (usually on the weekends). Our son graduated from pre-k a couple weeks ago, and when we asked him where he'd like to go after to celebrate (a week day), he insisted on Londa's. We had a table of 5 with myself, my husband, my in laws, and of course our little guy. There were maybe only 3 other tables in the restaurant, so it wasn't super busy. We sat down, and a blonde waitress that I've only seen once before came over and aggressively asked our drink order. Drinks came, we didn't see her for another 15 minutes. When she came back to take our food order, it was the same aggressive approach; so much so we thought we did something wrong. Food finally comes about 30 minutes later, and she drops it all down and marches away without a word; only my plate wasn't there. She walked away so quickly, I couldn't flag her down to ask about my meal or my son's missing pickle. A couple minutes later, we see my meal sitting at the "window", and sitting, and sitting, while the waitress is chatting with someone at the bar. I ended up just grabbing it myself after it sat there another 5 minutes. The food is always great here, so we never have any complaints. Although, she never came back to ask how things were or ask if we needed anything. We finish, and after sitting there with all our dirty plates in front of us, I insist the family head out and I will take care of the check when it came. She sees us leaving, and plops the check on the table. I then walk up to the counter and wait to pay. She makes her way over, and again, without a SINGLE word, takes my card. Literally the only words spoken to me were "do you want a receipt". We're crushed. Our family loves this restaurant. We have sent so many friends and family over at our recommendation. This was such an important occasion for my son who specifically chose Londa's out of any other restaurant, and because one person was clearly having a bad day (or just isn't meant for the service industry), a happy memory was overtaken by this negative experience. I was not disappointed with my breakfast at Londa's Diner. Especially since you can get a breakfast sandwich on a Costanza's roll. You can get a breakfast sandwich ten times better than the fast food joints and for the same price so why wouldn't you stop in if you're in the neighborhood. First time there. Place was not busy, 4 other tables besides us. Our order of couple eggs and a sandwhich took 25 minutes. Coffee was hot, food was just warm but it was a freezing cold day and the heat in the restaurant was low. Eggs overdone. Homefries had pieces of uncooked potato. Grilled cheese sandwhich was the highlight. I will give this place one more chance but they need to knock it out of the park next time. This overall for me was a failing grade. read more

Well we r hanging out in Buffalo today. Just came out of Canada. So we looked for a different breakfast place, this is it. Got our coffee and iced tea from our waitress and I needed a bit more time to look at the menu. Sooo I decided to have a ham n chz omelet with toasty English muffin. Mmmm it was realllly tasty. Londa's Diner has been a favorite spot of mine for breakfasts for years. Their French toast and hash are my personal favorites. I always ask for them to be extra crispy and that's always how they make it for me. And the service is always so good, even when they're slammed. The only day of the week I can get here are Fridays after work. The only thing I have ever tried here are the pizza logs with fries, which are inexpensive and good. I usually wander in here after work, when I'm craving pizza logs. When you're in and from Buffalo, you have probably experienced similar cravings. I order take out and the employees are nice and friendly. It's quick and an easy transaction. Sometime I'm going to mix up my life a bit and try something else. I enjoyed it and would come back. Londa's makes a pretty good omelette and big juicy homemade dessert pies, and one of the main selling points is that it's nice and cheap for desserts, although omelets are a little on the pricy side? Perhaps. If you want the big and meaty one. The service was okay, I wasn't a big fan of how my omelet - piping hot and ready - sat on the counter for 5 minutes before she gave it to me. But honestly even though the omelet sat (a pet peeve), it was still piping hot, was pretty good, nothing to write home about but nothing to turn your nose up at either. The blueberry dessert pie was good and not too sweet, and a very huge portion of cake for a small price which was appreciated. Not as good as some of the food in Londa-on, the capital of England. Early flight (6a) with arrival at 9:30 found us famished. Found this little diner close to the airport and couldn't have been happier. A wide selection of menu options excellently prepared. Exceptional veggie omelette for Tami and eggs over easy for me. Basic fried breakfast potatoes and toast completed our repast. Nothing fancy but perfect for our needs. What a disaster our breakfast started out as with my 2 year old biting into a creamer and it exploding like a firework all over our table and family. Everything was fresh and hot when it came to our table. The kids ate all of their food also which doesn't always happen. I really enjoyed the toast options here. They seem to have so many more than other places. I got toasted Italian bread with my omelette. It's was so crisp and good, Yum! They also have blackberry flavored Jam which most places do not seem to carry. Mostly a breakfast place with their limited hours but they do have many other menu items outside of breakfast. We like Londa's. It's out of the way for us but we make excuses to drive all the way out there from North Park and we always hit it if it coincides with flights in or out of Buffalo. In fact, that's how we found it. I arrived back from a work trip in the morning and we wanted breakfast. We searched for diners nearby and found Londa's. They have a basic diner menu and we usually get breakfast. The coffee is ok. My boyfriend likes to go there for steak and eggs and usually we're heading there because he's craving that and it's the only place he thinks does it well. I switch between random breakfast items like half a waffle, pancakes, or eggs and bacon and toast (they do them all justice) and a patty melt with fries, which they do very well too. The waitresses are always very nice and very attentive. We get coffee refills, they come back when they say they will. We've never had trouble getting a booth though Londa's is usually at least 3/4 full. The regular crowd is a very chill bunch and the restaurant is generally pretty quiet even when busy. Very much suggest trying this place out. They always have a big list of pies too which we can never try because we always fill up on other food first. They all look homemade. read more

I consulted the Google on my phone and found that Londa's was right across the street from the gas station I was at. It definitely looked like a good place for a pre-flight breakfast so I headed over. I grabbed a seat at the counter and was quickly greeted by the server. We were visiting Buffalo for a Memorial and came across this little diner. The good was delicious! The veggie omelet had vegetables galore! Pancakes were very fluffy and tasty! The best part was my boyfriend could not find his wallet when we got back to our hotel! They found the wallet in their bathroom where my boyfriend accidentally dropped it. A co-worker and I decided to check this place out. The food is actually decent, but the service could use a tweak. My co-worker pointed out to me while we were waiting for refills on our coffees that our server was reading a newspaper. Then, as our food was being delivered, she was gabbing on her cellphone, obviously too busy to ask us if we needed anything else. I guess the final straw was when she just put the check on the table and walking away without saying a word. This exact same behavior was mentioned in a Buffalo News review from a week ago. You would think the restaurant would have read this review and made a note to themselves to correct this behavior. Don't be fooled by dingyness of this place. The food is great. The staff is great and the atmosphere is great. The staff is awesome because they always make you feel like your welcome and there are regulars who come every day because of the awesome staff. The best part is you just walk in and seat yourself. As diners go, it is what it is. I've been here a couple time for lunch. I generally get the tuna sandwich or yesterday I tried the fish fry. The prices are reasonable and the food is decent. The waitress was very attentive and it has a nice casual atmosphere. When I went in, I noticed the "specials" board was a long list of desserts. The waitress told me they were home-made and delicious. She recommended the chocolate fudge layer cake and said that she didn't like chocolate cake but she loved the one they make at Londa's. I'm totally sold. I love chocolate, so I get a piece to go. Later that afternoon, I'm sitting at work smelling chocolate cake and decide now is as good a time as any to try this chocolate masterpiece. One bite in and I recognize the distinctive taste of Duncan Hines chocolate icing. I'm pretty sure the cake was Duncan Hines too, but it's been a while since I've had a box cake. The icing I would recognize anywhere as it was a baking staple in my household growing up. Home baked maybe but disappointingly not homemade. I have wanted to check this place out for a while now. It is right next door to my favorite pizza joint, so every time I go to pick up pizza, I make a mental note to come back. However, I am more of a dinner person, so I don't make it out for breakfast that often. Finally, this past Sunday, we went around 12:30pm (ok so it wasn't breakfast, more like lunch). We decided to sit at the diner bar area. The waitress who greeted us and served us the entire time was extremely welcoming and friendly for us first-timers. Sometimes I am apprehensive about going to neighborhood, "clicky" places, were the regulars will look at you funny when you walk in. Not this place; we felt welcomed immediately. The atmosphere is very homey and cozy. I ordered a turkey BLT and a side of hash browns. The BLT was perfect and just was I was hoping to receive. It was large enough for me to take half of it home for a snack later. The hash browns could've used a little extra seasoning, but I just added hot sauce. My other half got the sausage, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwich with a side of hash browns. Same issue on the hash browns, but he LOVED the sandwich. We will definitely be back! read more

The type of diner that makes you feel at home, from the friendly conversation to the atmosphere to the food. Good hot coffee, delicious eggs and other breakfast, and very attentive service. This time I ordered the scrambled eggs with polish sausage because I've never had that combination. Everything was cooked perfectly, and they have a very good sausage..tho for all I know it may be store bought, I didn't think to ask. I'll definitely be back again soon. I have just left Londa's for the last time. The food is ok, but the service is horrendous. If you aren't a "regular" you might as well be invisible. My wife and I walked in, sat down at a very visible table and were ignored for 10 minutes while the waitress studiously avoided eye contact, what appears to be the owner yakked on his cellphone and regulars were conversed with in a leisurely fashion. If this were the first time this had happened to us I might excuse it, but it is not. We have left the place twice and waited for food and service others. So if you're a "regular" enjoy!!
