This gets 1.5 stars. I ordered two slices of turkey bacon, regular bacon, buttermilk and sausage links. Everything was cold. Especially the 4 bits of bacon; they tasted like they hadn't been out of the fridge for long. The sausage links didn't taste like sausage links. I don't know WHAT they tasted like, exactly, but they didn't taste like normal sausage links. The pancakes were a good size (that means BIG), but they tasted funny, too. I don't think anything was rotten or anything, I think it just didn't taste like what I'm used to. Not interested in going again. The service was okay for the most part. Would not recommend. Much better to drive a little farther and go to the IHOP on Glendale Avenue in Glendale. When you order the food there it tastes like what you would imagine it should taste like. Nothing tastes out of the ordinary. Okay, I'm done complaining. Even though it was only 7 buck-a-roos, I'm glad I didn't pay. Denny's has spruced up the entire chain since I last ate here. So far I've tried the burgers (hand made beef patties) which was super good; and the sirloin steak which I ordered medium but got a well done, dry piece... I have yet to try their breakfast which I hope is as good as it looks. I do recommend eating here, especially the burgers, and it's reasonably priced. A typical American Diner! read more

Saul was one of the kindest waiters I've ever encountered. I was out to dinner with my partner and he left to run an errand at a store next door after we ordered. He was gone longer than I expected, and Saul must've noticed that I looked worried because he came over to ask if my partner was okay and chatted with me a bit. When my partner came back, Saul stopped by again to make sure he was alright. At the end of the meal, he brought us some complimentary dessert. If I could give this Denny's the lowest review I would. In both instances I've heavily dealt with their terrible customer service, and it's like they pick and choose who to be polite to. Fernando took 15 minutes speaking with a customer because they got along. Beforehand I had this lady who has been here for a long time refuse to serve me and my two friends. She claimed to be on break and somebody else would help us, so we waited 10 minutes for another server to wait for us. Just so we can see that same lady come back and happy serve everyone else. We pointed it out to her and she completely ignored us, and then began to yell at us. Don't come here, and they need to hire better people! read more

Ok. I am fully aware alot of people really just don't like Denny's. But I have some crazy obsession with their breakfast. I never get bad service. Maybe because if I want something I will not hesitate to flag someone down. I go often enough that they know me, so they know I am a good tipper, hence better service. I can't remember what kind of coffee they use, but that stuff is the best. You could probably name anything there and I like it.. What can I say I am easy to please. My favorites would include; The Lumberjack Slam....O yeah I can finish it! I might be little but I can eat!!, Moons Over My Hammy, and I like to concoct my own omelette; mushrooms, olives, avocado and bacon. Yum! I always ask for my hash browns well done...that solves the potential sogginess issue. I don't go out to eat when I am in a hurry...Because then of course service will be slow! Didn't you know that!? The chocolate milk was horrible, and some of the grapes looked disgusting. The cheeseburger was alright, but as a cheeseburger lover, it really wasn't all that. Then she forgot my drink and brought it to me halfway through my meal but still had the nerve to charge me for it. yeah you read it right... a five-star Dennys... Burbank has it! the ENTIRE staff at this location are exceptional. the wait staff are attentive without being pushy..they're practically psychic and seem to pop up just as your beverage is running low or when you seem to be in need of an extra napkin or 2. once in a while someone in the kitchen will send out a sandwich forgetting the sliced tomatoes or without pickles where applicabe -- but really, it's dennys and none of us are too good to flag down a friendly server for a couple of slices of tomato on a plate ;) the crispy chicken ranch sandwich is basic and perfect. i get mine without cheese and i pass on the ranch... the "ciabatta" roll the sandwich comes on is appropriately toasty-crisp on the outside and chewy-airy on the inside -- perfect for this sandwich. the crispy chicken filet is juicy inside and not composed of pre-chopped mechanically seperated meat like cheap nuggets! it's a thin sliced breaded chicken breast, decent quality! add two strips of crisp bacon, lettuce, tomato and the garlicky-buttery spread added to the bread pre-toasting, and you've got one hell of a spot-hitter! the crispy chicken can be swapped for grilled in any of their sandwiches.. the buffalo sandwich (which is essentially the same thing as the bacon-ranch, minus the bacon and adding hot buffalo sauce) can be served with the buffalo sauce on the side so the chicken doesn't have to be soggy and submerged in it.. the honey mustard is Brianna's (yep, the very same kind that goes for about $5/bottle in grocery stores) and top notch. don't be alarmed by the bright yellow colour - that's true mustard powder and turmeric that give it that bright hue -- not food colouring.. the seasoned fries trump the weird wavy fries and only add about 59 cents to your order :) i also love the basic club sandwich (no cheese) at Dennys as well... can't speak for their breakfast items as i LOATHE breakfast -- but if you need a good, affordable ($8) crispy chicken sandwich on a great roll...hit up THIS denny's and give'em a shot! yeah..a lengthy review for dennys but really, worth it. the bff and i hit this location sometimes 2 or 3x a week and sometimes only once a month but no matter how often or infrequently we show up -- the service is ALWAYS a 10 and the food is always at least worthy of 5 yelp-stars :) read more

While the bar area was empty it took a long time to get my food. I asked for over medium eggs and yet again another diner chef has no idea how to make them. Well he got it half right which means one of my eggs was well done and the other one was over medium. When I ate the well done egg I started to feel sick because I hate my eggs like that but at least the other one was ok. Everything else was ok. Nothing to rave about but it is Dennys. But to be fair, I have eaten some bomb ass breakfasts at Dennys. How can you mess up bfast though? I gave 3 stars to my waiter. He was nice and attentive. The orange juice was good. Dad's "Senior Fit Egg White Omelette" was dripping with grease, a real mess. They fried the egg whites, apparently, in WAY too much oil, then the spinach, mushrooms and onions are also sauteed in grease. Fold them all together and you have a real mess, luckily it is served with oatmeal instead of hash browns (more grease). Also , noticed the wait staff here does way too much. Where is the host/manager? The waiter seats you, the waiter brings your menus, the waiter clears off the table, the waiter cashes you out at the end of the meal, leave them a hefty tip they work really hard! read more

Saturday 04/09/2016. I usually don't like/bother giving reviews. But, I am so hot under the collar right now with my experience at this Denny's that I will make an exception and leave a review!!! An experience which I will share with all my friends, family, and acquaintances. The manager there I was told is "Boni"?." Dear Location owner he deserves a raise, a bonus, a promotion for following the the chain's rules on "no substitution" (sarcasm)". Way to go Boni but you've lost me as a client. So, the "value breakfast" the "slam something or other" listed: Pancakes, 2 eggs, two sausages, and hash brown "OR" toast. I merely asked for them to keep the pancakes and give me a lousy slice of toast. It seems that dollar wise they would be ahead this way anyways. And, frankly come to think of it why is the toast not free? most restaurants I go to in LA give you complementary bread or chips and salsa! But NOT at DENNY'S the RULES are what matters most not the HEART! And, so My Saturday morning breakfast outing was COMPLETELY RUINED as they caused me to get upset for refusing to give in to their policy and thereby caused the embarrassment of my guest and myself. And, if you think "good for me" while reading this review, wait till it happens to you when you go ther to eat and they can"t accommodate you one IOTA. I will rather go to another Diner that is nearby in Burbank called FRANK'S on Olive. Where, the Thursday breakfast Special is tastier than Denny's "Value Breakfast". Came her with my family for a quick bite on a Wednesday evening. The place was nearly empty, just three tables with customers. Service was very attentive and great. However, the food is another story. We ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup, an appetizer and a T-bone steak. My waitress asked me -"how do you want your steak?" I said. "medium". When I got my "steak", it was way overcooked I thought I was eating beef jerky! Our nice waitress came back and asked if everything was ok. This is the "good" Denny's with decent service. The food arrives pretty fast. Since it's in a business area, I'm sure they're used to the lunch rushes. Unfortunately, it's not 24 hours which is odd. Something has changed about this place, I'm not sure if it's the cook, the manager, or the waiters. But I've gone a few times in the past 2 months and not's what is use to be. This use to be a wonderful place in 2009/2010 and I would always go for breakfast. Now the eggs are under cooked and the service is horrible.
