Was my very first time coming here and I must say I am glad I did. We were celebrating a great win and came with our dear friends that have been helping us out and I am glad we came here for dinner. We were a party of 7 and our server was very accommodating. She was kind courteous and went above and beyond for us. We had a mix up on temperatures on 2 of the steaks but it was fixed right away. We all had steaks and some had shrimp and some had lobster. The sides were so delicious. We had the cheese bread and waygu dumplings as appetizers. The general manager stopped by our table and gave my little one ice cream. He was a very kind man and appreciated the kindness he showed our party. Will definitely come back here again soon and thank you the manager and staff for amazing service.

Decent steak, okay sides. Came for the bogo meal which is pretty worth the deal. Service is pretty slow but that's expected of these types of restaurants. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's pretty spacious inside and we didn't have to wait for a table even though it was pretty crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

12oz Prime rib

I received emails from them - Prime Rib day! Special offer! $25 (usually $32.99). So we tried it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself is somewhat run down, it was about 4pm and near empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the prime rib, medium plus baked potato, salad and a glass of wine. Mrs G can NOT have any sign of pink in her steak so she opted for burger and carefully spelled out "well done - no pink (health condition) - but NOT burnt. Ideally cut the burger in half while cooking". This always works at Fatburger - no problem. However at Black Angus it was a fiasco. The server delivered a totally burnt burger and had a horrible attitude, nasty to the extreme. And no way would we even consider having her prepare another burger for fear of what she might do with it - yuk! We told her to take it all away and deduct from the bill. I had taken a couple of bites out of my prime rib and all the salad and 1/2 my glass of wine so felt obliged to quickly gobble down some of mine. The manager was very nice, said that he would speak to her after we left and gave us every discount possible and nothing for the burned burger. Hence 2 points rather than the zero I wanted to give. Beware of burned burgers! We went to the nearby Capital Grill for dinner for Mrs G. Night and day difference - wow!! Yes double the prices - but 10x the service and quality of the food.....

Service is always great. Thank you to the very nice waitress who helped us recently. There is always a huge parking lot and parking is free, which is always nice. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was disappointing. I have ordered the Steak Cobb salad with no cheese before and enjoyed it, but this time it was quite small and had a large end-piece of lettuce in it. The salad proportions have also seemed smaller recently, but this visit it was especially small. Most of the lettuce had reddish edges and appeared to be getting old. The steak was also not well done, which is what I had requested, and there didn't appear to be any dressing on the salad. The avocado was also mostly brown, which I know doesn't make it bad, but combined with everything else it really made the salad look unappetizing. When I asked for dressing, the waitress mentioned that they are often stingy with it and said she knew because she has ordered the Steak Cobb herself. She was very nice and brought me some. The menu photo of the salad on the website looks very different from what I was served. See photos of the salad I received for details. I sent an email about this experience and received an apology with a request for my phone number. I haven't responded yet and am not sure if or when I will be back. I have been a customer for over ten years. When I think of eating out again, this place just doesn't sound as exciting as it used to. I may go there again at some point, but I'm not as motivated to return like I used to be.

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations but was excited to try out what Black Angus had. I was surprised to find a lot of people eating there! The food was solid and the prices weren't bad! The campfire feast is a great deal if you're not tempted to throw in a to of add-one.I liked the prime rib. The garlic butter sauce we got on the side was a bit salty. The crème brûlée was great! I would have given my experience at least 4 stars at least but we found plastic within the onions on one of the dishes. Could have been remedied but we mentioned it to our server and there wasn't any further action or follow up.

If you don't have the BA Rewards program, you should get it. We visit our local [not Burbank] BA often and love the Happy Hour and the many specials that BA sends to their Rewards members. On this occasion, we dropped of our daughter and came here to try the new Manhattan Strip and Shrimp. This was one of our favorite steaks and the grilled shrimp were so good. We saw that our local GM, John, was here and he mentioned that he had moved here because it was closer to him. He always did a great job at our location and I am sure they are going to be happy he is now here. We ate at the bar tables and enjoyed their wine of the month. The Pino Noir was very good and love the Member prices. This is your typical BA design; very nice and comfortable.

I sat at the bar, and the service was good. However, the food was underwhelming. While I understand this isn't a five-star establishment, I do expect a basic level of quality..like receiving water without gnats and a lobster tail that isn't so dry. That said, the filet steak was quite good.

My husband took me here to celebrate my birthday (8/27.) Prior to this experience, we have never been to black angus steak house before. We got the Spinach & Artichoke dip with chips and it was delicious! It was dusted with bread crumbs and that really added a nice touch! My husband said it was the best artichoke dip he has ever had. I got the 6oz filet mignon with the twin lobster tails and it was delicious! Super filling! For my sides, I got broccoli and au gratin potatoes. My husband got the 8oz filet mignon with a baked potato and Mac and cheese. My son got the chicken strips from the kids menu. All in all, we had a great experience. Service was fast and friendly. Lots of parking space in the parking lot, and inside was nice and cozy. Taking one star off because my husband had paid extra for a celebration reservation and they did not do it here at this location. (They ended up not charging him for it, but why even offer it if they don't do it at this location)

Went with a friend as we were craving beef and we deeply disappointed. Service was good, but the steak I ordered was beyond salty. So were my friend's ribs. We were thirsty for what felt like days!

We chose the Three Course Dinner for Two, and it was absolutely the best decision. Everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, but the highlights for me were the potato soup and the wagyu dumplings -- both were incredible and full of flavor. You can really tell the kitchen puts care into every detail. The food overall was excellent, well-seasoned, and very satisfying. Every course felt balanced and enjoyable, making the whole dinner feel special. I'm honestly in love with this place. It was such a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to come back again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant has a very pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The space is comfortable, clean, and beautifully organized -- the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy your time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The service was excellent. The staff was polite, attentive, and very friendly throughout the entire experience, always making sure everything was perfect at the table.

Paul G. wanted to take me out to dinner one Friday night, and we saw that there was still a Black Angus in town... we hadn't been in years and I don't know that I had ever been at all! The restaurant was almost empty on a Friday, and we were seated quickly. It's a huge space with a full bar area, screens everywhere playing sports, and good music volume. Paul ordered a Guinness, which wasn't poured correctly and was pretty flat when it reached our table. I ordered an espresso martini and then a prickly pear margarita (margaritas are pretty customizable with flavors and tequila types) which I really liked. He ordered a steak, and I went with the twin lobster tails with a side of lobster asparagus and mac and cheese. I know that I shouldn't have expected much, but the lobster was on the dry side and a very small portion. The complimentary bread was great and so was the fried shrimp appetizer, and we both really enjoyed the steak... next time, I'd stick with that and avoid the seafood! Service was pleasant and attentive. It's a chain and nothing super special about this location, but the prices are super reasonable for the dinner we had.

- Broken Compass Tiki…read more My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Broken Compass Tiki. I originally found it on TikTok, followed up with a few YouTube videos, and knew I had to check it out the next time we were in Burbank. It completely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in Burbank, but we got lucky and found a street parking spot nearby. If you don't get as lucky, driving around the block or into the surrounding neighborhood should eventually turn something up. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, and there were already several people inside. By the time we left, the place was filling up quickly, so it's definitely a popular spot. I surprised my girlfriend by keeping the destination a secret and just telling her we were going somewhere fun with a unique theme. She loved it. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Both the bartender and our server were incredibly welcoming. Our server asked whether it was our first visit and took the time to ask what kinds of drinks we normally enjoy before making recommendations. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell us. Instead, he explained why he thought certain cocktails were better choices based on our preferences, and every recommendation ended up being spot on. As you'd expect from a tiki bar, the cocktail menu is heavily rum-focused, but there are also non-alcoholic drinks, a small beer selection, and wine available if rum isn't your thing. I ordered the Zombie Magic first, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. After that, I tried the 100 Year Cigar, a Scotch-based cocktail that was perfect for slowly sipping. Both drinks were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Painkiller and the Navy Grog, and she loved both of them. We started with the Shut It Polly wings, crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and they were outstanding. We also ordered the Aloha Dippers with the Cajun seasoning. I paired mine with the Chipotle Citrus Aioli, while my girlfriend chose the Firecracker sauce. Both dipping sauces were excellent and complemented the fries really well. For our entrées, I ordered the Pub Burger with Irish cheddar, onion strings, and horseradish aioli, cooked to order. It was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Roll, and we both enjoyed it. The only item that didn't quite meet our expectations was the macaroni salad that came with our meals. We've had some incredible macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants, and this one just didn't quite compare. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was the one part of the meal that didn't stand out. One thing that really impressed me was how accommodating the staff was regarding my raw fruit allergy. I explained what I could and couldn't safely eat or drink, and our server took it seriously. He made sure every cocktail recommendation was safe for me without sacrificing flavor or experience. That level of attention made me feel comfortable ordering drinks I otherwise might have avoided. The décor is also worth mentioning. The pirate-themed exterior transitions into a fun pirate-and-tiki atmosphere inside that really adds to the experience without feeling overdone. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. The drinks were strong and creative, the food was excellent, the service was some of the best we've had in a long time, and the atmosphere was a blast. There are still plenty of cocktails on the menu that I'd like to try, so we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Burbank.

This place really made you feel like Captain Jack Sparrow was going to jump out at every corner. It so themed for a tiki bar, but if pirates and mermaids had a place to hang out this would be that place. From the decor to the detailed bathroom sounds and the menu item names. You couldn't escape the theme anyway and I loved it! We were gathering for a friends birthday and there was 30 of us. Couldn't believe we found enough seats for us in the back area but we did. The staff was there to keep drinks flowing and keep food coming. The portion for their poke nachos was unreal. Do i wish they put a bit more poke on the dish? Yes. But it was still one of my favorite dishes of the night. The drinks were all so cute and they had ample non alcoholic mocktails as well which were yummy. If you want a speakeasy feel (you lieterally go through a secret door in the wall) and an under the sea eperience while ctching up with friends, you can totally do it here. For my friends birthday they rang some bell and all sang happy birthday to her which was so cool. Why was the bathroom the coolest part? They literally have ocean sounds and seaguls for you to hear while using the restroom. Theres even a fan in the bathroom to make you feel like you're next to the ocean because I kept fighting that darn toilet seat cover to stay put. Such a fun night and will be back for the vibes. Special s/o to Amanda and all her crew the night we were there. They helped out with photos, drinks, and keeping food going all night. She had such a great team with her that night. Everyone was helping us out even finding us chairs and clearing tables so we could make room for more food.

I explained that I just wanted to watch a game and be out of the way and they could not have been kinder through my whole time there! Daniela was my server and she was so kind! Best service and I didn't even order food. The second experience I had was going pretty well! My boyfriend and I took a friend who had just put down one of her dogs. She took her other dog with her since he has never been left without the other dog. :( we were really hoping to cheer her up with an outing. It was unfortunately super hot outside and so we asked the server if we'd be able to sit inside with the dog. No problem! The dog was in a stroller and we took a table right by the patio door. We really enjoyed our drinks and food and talking to each other. Our server, Kailey, made sure we had water and drink refills as needed. We had been there over 2 hours at this point, watching a World Cup came that had about 10 minutes left, when someone came up to us, I'm assuming a manager, but she never introduced herself to us, and told us the dog needed to either be on the floor or in the stroller (he was in our friends lap at this point) and then told us the stroller was a fire hazard unless it was on the other side of the table. We were very receptive, no problem, but very confused why this would come up after we had been sitting there for over 2 hours. This employee disappeared after that and we didn't see her again! It was just bizarre. Anyway- the servers were friendly and the other people there watching the game were fun. I loved the carnitas nachos and the Baja seltzer! I just was very confused by this "manager" coming up after 2 hours of us being there (she had seen us there at least 30-40 minutes before approaching us). Up front it wouldn't have been confusing! We're happy to follow rules and such and the dog was fine in his stroller. It just put a bad taste in our mouth, especially when there were only about 10 minutes left in the game we were watching. Felt a little too late to approach us? I wouldn't let this hinder my coming back. All the servers I've had were so great, I just don't know why a manager type would wait so long to present a customer with where a stroller can and can't be. We had made sure to ask up front about it, too and there were no issues! For those reading- check this place out! Fun to casually watch a game of some kind and get a drink and appetizer. The servers are amazing!
