We have tried this location 4 times and the servers are just absolutely terrible and there's no reason eggs and pancakes should take over an hour to come out when the restaurant is not busy. Waitress forgot my shake and then blamed it on tote ice cream was thawing, but the ice cream doesn't take an hour to thaw. Very unprofessional looking. I got to the pilot and I decided to dine in at Denny's I show up and give or take there's about 20 people waiting to be seated and the hostess told everyone that they are understaffed more than half the restaurant was empty that says a lot about this place and honestly every single Denny's I've been to has the same issue I do not recommend Dennys go somewhere else. read more

Caldwell, Idaho Dennys is horrible. I bought a slamburger and fries. Takeout. Got back home. My order was wrong. It had no bacon on it, my egg was done wrong, and had onions, pickles, and tomatoes on it. Also very little fries. I had cut it in half. After taking one bite of it, and decided to go back and get a new burger. The waitress then said well u ate half of it, and I responded with no I didn't I cut it in half and noticed everything that was wrong. So, they re-did my burger and just gave me the burger with no fries. I then explained they only put a few fries to begin with. So I waited for her to come back, which she never did. They again messed up my burger and had no bacon and egg was over done. She said it doesn't come with bacon. I said learn ur menu, cause it does. They just slapped on cold bacon and gave me very little fries again. The waitress was rude and inconsiderate. They were not busy at all, only two tables occupied. I will never go back to Dennys again. It sucks. It has gone downhill. read more

I am only giving 1 star because you have to. We will not be going back here ever. The pancakes were burnt and they tried 3 times, my pancakes came out fine but my husband's were burnt and then said they were going to keep coming out that way because they had to go to the store to get pancake mix and it just isn't the same as theirs. Well I don't know about you but I can make pancakes at home and not have them burnt. Then instead of being nice and taking the entire meal off they only took the pancakes off. From the moment we sat down, we waited 15 min to even be acknowledged. In fact, we had to get up and ask if we could order, and the restaurant was only at about half capacity. Plenty of staff were also working. I ordered an ice tea and it came back as an iced coffee/water mix, they said that was from their iced tea dispenser. The "fresh" silverware and glasses were both still visibly dirty, obviously not properly washed. There was a loud beeping sound (as loud as a fire alarm) coming from the kitchen the entire 1.5 hours we were seated. I credit the staff for trying to do their best in the given situation, as this seemed like a lack of management issue. Ultimately, due to the lack of cleanliness and the chaos from the staff, this place should be avoided and shut down. Hopefully the Dept. of Health comes and checks this place out soon. read more

We came in at 11:00am and placed our orders. The restaurant was empty. First we were seated by the service area and the waitress just yelled and yelled. They were out of salmon, vegetables, fries, pretty much everything. We waited an HOUR and we still didn't get our food. On Veteran's Day 2015, my family and I visited this Denny's location. There were 6 of us in attendance including my Uncle who is in the Air Force. The restaurant was busy that morning, but we were sat promptly and only waited about 5-7 mins for a table. 4 of us ordered breakfast items and one of us ordered a dinner item. All of our food came out, as expected and with great service. Pancakes & coffee were hot, hash browns delivered crispy and eggs cooked well. Our server was Sarah, who made her own American Stars and Stripes headband, in honor of Veterans Day. She was friendly and knowledgeable. (Qualities that are appreciated in every field of work). I know it's probably not the norm to rate a Denny's (at the Flyin' J truck stop) but we received friendly service and our food was cooked well. Waitress Nicole M hid in the back corner of the restaurant on her cell phone instead of waiting on and seating customers. Hair on ham, uncooked sausage and black hashbrowns looked old and rotten. This Denny's is good. I usually go to the Denny's in Nampa. One waitress brought me mayo instead of butter one time. I put this all over my pancakes and thought they tasted a little weird. I gave my hubby a piece to try and he agreed that it tasted funky. We told this waitress and she told us that she might've given us mayo. Hubby and I will never forget that story. HA HA. read more

Decided to order off the breakfast menu for dinner and asked for a substitution of an extra egg instead of bacon or sausage and the waitress did not even know that you can't substitute. So0 when my food comes it didn't have the extra egg and then proceeds to tell me that I can't substitute as she's putting my dinner in front of me. So I asked her for the sausage that should have come with it originally since she didn't tell me before this fact...then she proceeds to tell me that I now can't have the sausage and that she would have to charge me extra for the sausage that I didnt get...unbelievable! Shouldn't the waitresses know whether there can be substitutes on any given meal or not? Will not go here again, when things like this cannot be worked out or communicated for the customer...SMH read more

Order takeout as I was in a hurry, arrived when they said it would be complete and others came in at the same time I did, we were all just standing at the front and no one greeted us yet were all right there, granted they were getting orders ready but a quick "we'll be right with you" wouldn't hurt. I had to walk up to them to get help and the people who came in with me left after not being greeted STILL. *Disclaimer* My husband and I are over the road truck driving, Denny's was our only hot meal option besides gross truck stop food. The restaurant was not busy at all the whole two hours we were there. My husband and I waited 45 minutes for our food. Then the order was all messed up. -I built my own burger and nothing was correct except the beef patty. The bun was stale. -My husband ordered a full sized zesty nacho for a meal and received meat with /some/ cheese on some chips. They were cold. -He also ordered the chicken strip appetizer which came with four tiny strips for $7.49. I complained to a manager and she fixed my husbands nachos. And they were great after that. I wasn't in the mood for waiting for my food another 45 minutes, so I just asked for the toppings for my burger. By the time I received my toppings, my burger was cold. I ate it anyways as I was quite hungry. But as stated above, my bun was stale on the outsides. I tore the bun apart so I could sort of enjoy my burger. My waitress was not very apologetic at all. I learned later on she'd only been there for about a month now, but still. Train your waitresses so you don't have to put up with unsatisfied customers. The manager ended up giving me 30% off of my meal, which was appreciated. But I still left angry and unsatisfied. The manager kept going on with excuses as to why it's been a bad day for them. I understand it isn't always the staff's fault, stuff happens. It seemed as though the two tables that were occupied other than us were not receiving their orders in a timely manner as well. We went for my free Birthday grand slam and we had Mirium as our server and she was very pleasant and very attentive. She assisted my husband in another choice to go along with his biscuits and gravy. She wasn't to pushy about the up-sale but it made it seem like it was what he was looking for and it was great.
