    Dining Room

Popular, busy breakfast spot. I've heard a lot about this place and finally stopped by for breakfast. Big dining room and got a table right away. Busy for a late Monday morning so that's a good sign. Waitress was pleasant and nice. Huge menu with a lot of options. Food was pretty good. Warm, fresh and good sized portions. No complaints. Fresh squeezed OJ is exactly that, the real deal. California Eggs Benedict was delicious. Everything was flavorful and yummy. I prefer my hash brown a little more crispy on the outside and these missed that mark. Not a big thing. Everyone else liked their meal. Would dine here again.

Went to the Griddle for brunch today. I still had a gift card burning in my wallet so we went today to use it up. Boy were we happy we did. This was probably one of the best brunches we have had. We walked in. We decided to sit at the bar since our was the two of us, we doesn't need to use us a table. We weren't really greeted. We asked the gal behind the bar if we can there. She simply said yes and walked off. Another gentleman dropped off menus and didn't say much to us. Honestly, it wasn't the best start. I thought we were going to have soothe questionable visit again. Griffin greeted us with a great smile. He asked us what our drink orders were. I asked for coffee. I couldn't remember if they had flavored creamer here. Griffin said they didn't have any but he was kind and got me a side of vanilla syrup. He is the first server to give me an option and to do something simple like this. I knew we were in great hands with Griffin. Drinks were dropped off, orders were taken and we just chilled. Food was dropped off after a bit and man did everything look grand! My husband got the Rosie's French toast combo and I got the 2 eggs with bacon. My breakfast was great. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. I love that the English muffin as a little overly toasted but still soft in the middle. My husband's French toast was killer. It was a croissant that was made into French toast. It was also coated in cinnamon and powdered sugar. It was soooooo good! I had a couple bites and it was hard not to ask for more. Griffin was the highlight of our brunch. He made sure my coffee cup was filled. He checked up on us and just was kind from beginning to end. He ended our visit with asking us if we wanted any drinks to go. If I wasn't on a fluid restriction I probably would have gotten something. I have never had a server at any of these locations ask me that before. This visit was great and I can't wait to come back. And if you do come at eat here, make sure you have Griffin take care of you.

Came here for breakfast while visiting friends in the area. Love their Almond crusted French Toast! Decided to add a side order of 1 pancake to try since I usually have the french toast. Both were delicious. My friend had the eggs, bacon and hash browns with a side of gluten-free pancake. The GF pancake was a little on the dry side but tasted pretty good. Coffee was weak here. Service was generally good. However, our wait person did not inform us that there was a $7 charge for the additional side order of pancake. For $7, I could have gotten a full order of the dad's stack pancake! Also there should have been a surcharge of $2 for the GF pancake but was charged $3! I didn't look at the receipt too closely but I should've. At any rate, the waitress could have mentioned that there is no such thing as a side order but that she would have to charge me a full order for the pancakes. Annoyed that she wasn't upfront about this. Cute little local hangout - wasn't too crowded when we got there mid morning. I would still come here for the Almond crusted French Toast - it is soo good but will definitely check my receipt next time.

Good and very popular spot serving up traditional diner breakfast classics and some south of the border favorites. Among our group of 4 we ordered a good variety from the menu. Two people went with the more traditional eggs, meat, and sweet carb, and two of us did the chorizo benedict and biscuits and gravy to share. The food was very heavy, but still good and we all left pretty stuffed. Of the biscuits and gravy and chorizo benny I preferred the benedict, it had some good flavor from the chorizo and the chipotle hollandaise. We came in on a Sunday morning around 10am and there was already a crowd of people waiting to eat. Put our name in with the hostess, who was very nice, and were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait, but she was optimistic it would be quicker. We were able to track our progress from the text we received when we put our name down, and ended up only waiting a little over 15 minutes.

We had the BEST experience at The Griddle! I ordered the Quinoa, Chorizo, and Egg Tostadas and they were absolutely delicious so fresh, flavorful, and filling. My boyfriend got the Biscuits and Gravy along with hash browns and a hot cake, and he couldn't stop raving about it. He literally said the person who makes those hot cakes deserves a raise and honestly, I couldn't agree more, because I kept sneaking bites too! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. On top of the amazing food, our waitress was fantastic, super kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our meal. She had such a positive, welcoming vibe that made the whole experience even better.

I had about 35 minutes one morning recently before my first appointment nearby. I thought, hey I gotta try this place since the parking lot always looks full. Got a spot near the front door and saddled up to a counter seat. Greeted by a mature woman who was very efficient. When I eat away from the house, I try to eat something that is either something I never make or takes too damn long to make. Today, that called for a splurge. Biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, chorizo, hash browns and coffee. The eggs were beautiful, hash browns nice and toasty, biscuits and gravy were fresh and yummy. My coffee was refilled constantly. The chorizo would be a mystery since I didn't want to ask if they were going with Mexican chorizo or something closer to Basque chorizo. Look to the photo to solve this mystery.

It has a very local, community feel that's getting harder to find. The coffee itself is fine -- not terrible, not "drive across town for it" amazing either. I usually just get the unlimited refill cup and drink from one of their mugs while I work for a bit. Where this place really shines is the baked goods and breakfast food. You can smell everything being made from their little kitchen, and it feels genuinely homemade in a way most coffee shops don't anymore. Their molasses cookies are somehow available year-round and I'm not exaggerating when I say if they're sold out, my day takes a turn. The quiche Lorraine is also legitimately excellent with a buttery crust, and they usually have a surprisingly good variety of gluten-free baked goods too. One thing I oddly appreciate: no music and no giant café chaos. Also no plugs, so this isn't the place to camp for 6 hours on a laptop. But if I need a quiet spot to answer emails or get 1-1.5 hours of work done without distraction, this is actually one of my favorite places to go.

I'd call ahead and get your name on the list as it's quite popular and lots of people eat here. So, we had a group of four. The chicken fried steak was very good with gravy and huge portion. Good luck finishing it. I had corned beef hash unlike any I've ever had. The corned beef as in thin strips with no fat and all taste and fresh. The pancake will most assuredly will be the biggest you've ever seen. It's fluffy and done just right! We went on a Friday. It appeared the place had more tables available around the lunch hour. The wait staff was serving us throughout meal. Checking in regularly. Topping off the coffee and asking about our meal. Next time we visit will try their lunch. Not very often where you eat somewhere and don't find something that falls short or disappoints you. Well nothing but KUDOS! For this place. (I mean, some of it is greasy and the syrup is gloopy and a bit nasty-- it's better if it's warm-- but overall the food is good). So before I tell you the BIG issue at Joe Momma's, let me first set the scene. JM's looks like a misty mountain cabin come to life. River rock and pinecone and foliage lanterns greet you as you walk up ... log walls and a massive stone fireplace whisper of times gone by as you enter, and hens adorn the dark wood walls. You could easily picture the Fellowship of the Ring sitting in a booth across from you. It's truly charming. So what's the problem with Joe Momma's? The music! It's AWFUL and completely bizarre given the atmosphere of the restaurant. But hey, if blasted mid-2000's Rihanna and Katy Perry songs on a loop (we counted more than 4) is your idea of a good time at 8:30am on a Saturday morning in a log cabin, then you'll love it. I have a feeling Samwise and Frodo would not though and neither did we. The music is loud, very loud. And sounds more like an LA radio station playing Pop's Top Hits from 19 years ago. Which would be okay, I guess, if the energy of the restaurant matched it-- you know, modern architecture, crisp lines, sleek furniture and color design-- think Snooze in Scottsdale, Az which is basically a breakfast night club. But alas, Joe Momma's is beloved because of the misty mountain feel. The upscale Cracker Barrel vibe. The charming, rustic beauty. And the abrasive, bad pop music ruins the whole thing. It's is truly so freaking weird! Maybe they could keep the Pop for the lunch rush, but PLEASE Joe Momma's, for the love of Frodo, leave breakfast alone and come up with a playlist that matches your beloved establishment!!

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

I had requested this table so everything was smooth from calling in to getting in. My daughter and I arrived a little early to set up the table. We got everything set up and just chilled till everyone showed up. I did forget the birthday candles I bought so I drove home to grab them. I missed the whole ordering process. I had my daughter order the pineapple hanger steak with no potatoes subbed for veggies for me. I left before they ordered and was only gone for about 25 minutes. My food had already been sitting for 10 minutes waiting for me before I got back. I was honestly surprised at how fast everything was prepared. I did enjoy my meal. It was really good. The hanger steak was tender and very savory. The shishito peppers were cooked and grilled perfectly. I got a total of 6 and only 1 of them was spicy, I'm ok with that! The asparagus was grilled to perfection. Not overly cooked but tender with a slight bite. The best way to have asparagus. I think this would have been a 5 star experience but this is where I'm so unhappy. I brought a cake in. I also brought in candles, a vintage cake plate and plates for us to eat the cake on. It was all planned out. Our server did not communicate with me at all about the cake once she pulled it out for me. One minute it was sitting in it's box on the servers table and the next minute there's a huge, tacky firework in it. Like, I had a pretty cake made with delicate candles to put in it to have this goofy firework in the middle of it. I didn't take one photo of the cake before she violated it with the stupid firework. If you plan on bringing in a cake that you don't want touch, tell your server. Food was great. The vibe was chill. But I will always have this stupid firework in the middle of my cake as a core memory of this joint.
