Denny's on E St., Chula Vista, is one of the best ones we've been to. my family hasbeen coming here for over 20 years. I've never had a bad meal here .. employees are very kind and sweet. I see why this Danny has only three stars food was mediocre, service not quite good. Took my fiancé for dinner. Ordered a bacon avocado cheeseburger. She ordered no pickles. I ordered the avocado to side and a strawberry milkshake when the milkshake came. Metal container was half full, but the table next to us there milkshake came full to the top. I asked the waitress is this all I get she replied this is our portion. This is unacceptable and I would like more no extra charge so she obliged brought me another medical container half full. When the food came, the burgers was totally wrong. There is no avocado on my fiancé's burger no bacon and no cheese but there was pickles. We told the server the issue so she took the burger back it had everything and when my fiancé lifted the bun there was a couple slices of avocado. I shared the picture. We will definitely not go back to this particular Denny's. read more

This place needs bug improvements. Our waiter, looked frustrated with us just by sitting us down. He e ordered gold fish and apple juice to start off for our toddler, but the goldfish never made it to dinner our table. As we waited patiently, we saw our waiter sit an elderly couple down where there was previously a disabled child who made a big mess. The waiter seated the elderly couple over a floor full of food. The old lady was kicking and dusting hers and her blind husbands seat. I politely asked a female waitress if she could please have someone sweep it up and wipe down their table and seat which she said she would. But no one ever came and the elderly couple ate with food under them. I was really upset at this point and disgusted. My husband also ordered 2 waters before leaving, but only 1 arrived. When we asked for jelly for our waiter rolled his eyes. We did NOT leave a tip! This was the worst Denny's I've been to. I didn't make a big deal though and stayed positive for my husband, since he really wanted to take us out to that Denny's. Fortunately, it was his decision not to leave tip and address the filth and poor service to the manager. read more

Had a decent stay until host Gloria checked me out at the register up front. I was closing my check and asked (as I have in the past) if I can order a to-go kids milkshake and she looked up at me like I was dumb and said "I'm working right now so you can ask your server" (as she pointed to a less than full waiting area. I work in the restaurant industry and there's so many ways she could have gone about this but she handled it entirely wrong and left a sour taste. As for my server, she told me there was no hot water (had to get different drink) but saw someone pouring some a minute later Will not be returning. 2/10 don't recommend this location! read more
