We have visited many Denny's in the area and this one in Clovis on several occasions. We received okay service in most of them. Last though at this Danny's we may have changed our mind on which one we will be going to from now on. Raemie, our server, gets "thumbs up" from us on service, attitude and overall friendliness. She was very attentive to our requests and kept the coffee coming. We will be back to this location just because of her service. She also took time to get to know us and went the extra mile on showing us how it feels to be an appreciated customer. Do yourselves a favor and request RAEMIE the next time you stop in. The worst Denny's location ever! I know better than to return because every year the service gets worse . We stopped in for chocolate shake. My husband was served a chocolate shake in a 30 oz Stainless Steel Malt Cup instead of a glass! The waitress could not see what was wrong with this clearly did not know how to deal with a customer concern she automatically asked if we wanted to speak to the manager which I said sure. The manager who appears to not know restaurant etiquette either did not see anything wrong with this as well. She said the glasses were all dirty so they do serve the shakes in the mixing cup! Could the problem be presentation, maybe the fact that the 30 Oz stainless steel malt cup is less than half full. And why did we feel like we were not important the customers are not important just slap on some food on the table and eat it like gruel. read more

YAHAIRA is the most RACIST person I ever seen before. If I could give a zero star I would. We had the utmost worst service and food ever! I ordered a breakfast and wanted a dry English muffin. What was served was a plate with the ham and red potatoes only. Later my poached egg came which was hard as a rock so I sent it back. The muffin came with butter so I asked them to correct it and bring a dry one. I originally asked for some gravy and had to ask for it again later. We couldn't believe what they brought. The white gravy wouldn't even move...it was like paste and the brown gravy had to come from a jar like what is sold in a store. It was gross. We had 3 different people bringing our food and no one knew what the other was doing. In other words they were bringing my breakfast a little bit at a time. I never did get my dry muffin or egg so I told them to take my breakfast off the tag. All the food I got which wasn't much was gross and dry and tasted terrible. Last week we stopped there for coffee and they kept bringing us cold coffee. A fresh pot was made and it was still cold. We told them their machine was probably broken. A friend and I went to the Clovis location. Our server was sweet, food fast and good. By we laughed at the little sign on our table closing the table was "sanitized". The booth seats wear very dirty, crumbs, oily hand prints over everything. We looked at the booths close to us. Same. How can you sanitize and not touch the seats? Our waitress wore her mask correctly. Only one that we saw. The lackadaisical hostess, under her nose same with the guy. I know that restaurants are hurting and that's why we try to support them. Horrible experience! Maybe 10 people total at outside seating, probably half had their food. We thought there was only one waitress but then a second came out about 15 min in but she was no help. Got drink order, my drink was gone after about 10 min, never offered a refill. Food finally arrives (45 min after order placed) my Order is wrong (again not busy), waitress apologizes, brings my replacement order about 5-8 min later, order was wrong again. Told them just to forget about it, they took that one off the ticket and 15% off meal. I understand Covid and all, but that was not the issue. I travel and have eaten at Denny's on the road probably 8 times in the last month and no issues. This was just a bad experience all the way around. read more

This is the worst dennys I have ever been to. I have been a server for over 10 years and I have never heard of having only one cook on Saturday night. It took us 20 mins to get our drinks and over 50 minutes to get food. I have been here multiple times and each time has been the absolute worst. The service is either horrible or the food is not edible (I got frozen Mac n cheese one time) and this was the final straw. I will never go again and I would rather have this place closed and get a better restaurant than have it stay open. read more

I've never received this bad of customer service. From start to not even finished yet (still waiting on our food after an hour) I've received terrible service from Jacob. I wasn't sure about one of the menu items and instead of explaining it to me, he said "well, just look at the picture" with some attitude. After waiting an insane amount ( ~45 minutes) of time for some items that typically take 20-25 minutes at most I decided to ask our waiter, Jacob, for a time estimate. He said "it'll come out when it comes out" it honestly would be understandable if this place was busy, but it's not. Food isn't bad though, but the customer service will leave a bad taste in your mouth. Went for breakfast today and the service was the worst I have ever seen. Coffee brought to table by the time waitress came back with sugar it was cold. Then had to wait 20 min for new cup but we were finished with our food. No salt, pepper, Tabasco or ketchup available. Had to go inside for to go boxes. My family & I decided to give this particular Denny's one last shot, we usually try to go to other locations because the service is always terrible & the wait, always ridiculous. This time was no different. The young lady that helped us was unprofessional &, in my opinion, should not be served with her lack of social skills. First, she took my family's drink order in front of my seat so I couldn't sit down until she moved, I know I could've asked but why should I have to ask to be let in to my seat? Secondly, upon bringing our drinks I asked for straws. 10 minutes passed before I finally decided to get up myself & ask one of the ladies bussing a table if she could give me a few straws, I saw she had them readily available in her apron. It took well over twenty minutes to get our food. First she brought my husband's. Five minutes later she brought mine & checked to make sure it was right at the table. I had asked for cheesy bacon fries, inevitably I was brought wavy fries with the pepper jack cheese on the side. My daughter's burger came last, about 15 minutes after my husband's food, & had cheese on it when we specifically asked for none. After bringing our food she didn't check on us for a while. My husband ended up having to ask her for the check as she was walking by. Dennys is what it is. Food is good when they get it right. Which they did today. Banana caramel pancakes were Delish and eggs were a perfect over medium. Sausage was really good but their microwave bacon was eh. Steak was cooks perfect medium. Corn tasted fresh off the cob and pancakes were fluffy. To be honest service usually sucks here. To be fair all Denny's has This problem not just this location but at this location there are a few times when service is good. Like today. Waitress was nice, stayed up on drinks, and knew her job well. There is another young waitress that is exceptional. But it really is hit and miss with this company. You either get a great server like today or unfortunately you get one like our last visit that had us waiting 10 minutes for our waters, and asked if on our salad we wanted "crispy chicken or chicken." Or giving us banana pancakes and forgetting the bananas and Caramel. I'd love to give this place 5 stars for the good visits buuuut eat at your own risk and I hope you get a good one. read more

I'm leaving a review for my boyfriend since he doesn't have an account. He went out with his family and was extremely disappointed. He claimed the service is absolutely awful. They made their orders and they couldn't get all of the food right. His family had the waitress come back and get the right order. His grandma asked for over medium eggs. It came back runny. She asked if the chefs in the back could correct the order and it came back runny again. The order wasn't corrected. I can understand why this place would have a two and a half star rating . The food is good , the service is whatever and the environment every time I come here is whatever also . My friends and I always seem to come here at the worst times and happen to have the most cringe experiences that we can ever experience . The server was great , amazing customer service , made us feel right at home . The food came out fast , because we were the only ones in the dining area at 3 am , like I would expect . The only reason why I'm giving it two stars is because one of the managers there , Mario , made us feel so violently uncomfortable when we were there that we wanted to leave as soon as possible and never come back to this location because of how he was treating one of the servers.
