Wow! Did you know that there is an app, or that you can order online and have delivery or takeout options? I didn't, but now that I've tried it, I can confirm it's a great experience. I wanted to visit a friend, but with social distancing during the coronavirus required, I've had to get creative with food options. I chose to order on the website and pick up breakfast for us. Carryout pancakes are always tricky because they can get a bit soggy, but the rest of our food was delicious and so convenient. Really glad that I could have the option of grabbing breakfast to go and visit my friend. Definitely recommend as the food was ready on time and a good portion, while everything was packed carefully and accurately. read more

I stopped by today and dined in. My experience with the server is the reason for my low rating. I was asked to seat at the first booth but opted not to in case a crowd rushed in for the morning breakfast. I sat at another booth but the chair was ripped. Like when does management plan on getting it replaced. Not to mention the table wasn't properly wiped. I ignored it but I should've paid attention to the red flags. The restaurant wasn't even crowded when I arrived but the server took forever to do the basic things. She didn't even tell me her name. She placed her knees on the chair when taking my order as if she was at home. I thought to myself wth who goes that?! Not even at McDonald's would a worker do that. This isn't her home. I had to call two different servers to tend to me today because my actual server kept chatting it up with others. I can recall the conversations she had with others while I sat at my booth to tend to me. I ordered toast and asked for butter. The toast smelled and tasted funny due to the butter. I asked her what kind of butter was that and she said margarine. No joke, the margarine even looked funny. I asked for butter not margarine on my toast. You can put butter on my pancakes but not on my toast and I specifically asked for butter on my toast? Who does that?! The hash brown was warm but I ate it quick with the eggs. I had no intentions on eating the sausage or bacon. The food was ok. I had to drench the eggs and hash brown in hot sauce. I've had better food and experience at other Denny's. She put the check on the table and I asked her for a container. Minutes later no container no server. I waited so long with my credit card out but she never came. She started talking to her colleague about how she scored cheap plane tickets to the Carolinas. I had to bother another employee about my I request for a container who later gave me one. I waited so long that I signed the bill and added the tip that I totally forgot that woman never returned to take the credit card. I didn't realize this until I walked out the door and when I realized that I didn't pay i immediately returned back in to pay. The manager was at the door to remind me try to tell me but he saw me returning towards the restaurant entrance. But then that same server positioned herself right by the register and never once did that lady apologize for the crappy service or about the confusion she caused. She knew I was going to complain which is why she stood there waiting for me to pay before she left to go home. She saw me walk out and not once did she say sorry I didn't get your item that you requested and sorry I didn't return but I didn't get your payment. That woman intentionally tried to make a fool out of me. I complained to the manager and I'm complaining on here. I shouldn't have left any tip for her! Horrible service. I will not be back. I recommend that if you're craving for Denny's, go to another location: not this one. I would've been better off having breakfast at McDonalds or a drive through. Why dine in if you're just going to be ignored by your server and forced to bother 2 other serverthen have to pay a tip on crappy service. Management please teach that woman how to properly tend to her tables: basic customer service skills. read more

I just finished having breakfast here. It's a Sunday morning and the restaurant is extremely busy. They seemed to be having issues with the cash register, which only added to the chaos the staff was experiencing. My food came out with very little waiting and was fresh and delicious. I'm sure the kitchen staff was as overwhelmed as the waitstaff. The manager was amazing. Even though the restaurant was packed with hungry customers he remained calm. I was seated near the front door so I got to witness that part. He was polite and joked with the customers as he struggled with the cash register. This was the best experience I've ever had at a Denny's. The manager deserves a raise! read more

The worst dining experience I've ever had! I'll start at the beginning when I walked I smelt the smell of a gross clogged drain. A kind of dirty lake water mixed with sewage smell. It over came the entire restaurant, I couldn't smell the food in front of me. There two other parties waiting to be seated and we were all instructed to find a clean table and take a seat. Beverly was the rudest person I've ever come into contact with. I had to ask her to be nice in spite of the horrible day at work she was having. She did tone it down a bit, but still extremely rude the entire duration of my visit. Her and the other gentlemen were YELLING to each other across the restaurant. Our drinks were handed to us over the wall that separated the dining room from the kitchen because she said it saved her the time of actually walking around to our table to give them to us. The guy that was working was yelling at everyone every time he spoke to a customer it was from across the restaurant. The food was delicious the service was so bad. I called the next day to talk to a manager apparently the manager on duty (Hannah) was not there to take my call. I called three times. The first time I was put on hold for 5 minutes before I hung and called back the second time I was immediately put on hold and the third I was informed that Hannah was not there and the general manager was unknown by the person on the phone. He said he didn't know who his boss was. This was the absolute worst dining experience I've ever had. read more

Wow. Yes my review starts with wow. Listen I understand that your expectations should match the "cost" associated with a restaurant but this was beyond awful. The employees were too busy on their phones to get up, and had to wait 15 minutes to order after being sat in a booth that was greasy and not clean. Once we ordered I was charged separately for everything I asked for which made my entire meal overpriced. The food, was awful which is sort of par for the course also. The best part was having to get up to get a bill, but luckily at these places they run over right away for fear you may not pay. Luckily fear prompted the employee to come help me at the register. When I asked about being overcharged he said oh sorry I can't change anything. After reluctantly paying for the worst meal and Service I've ever had; I could t exit. Literally. There was an extremely rude employee who had the entire entrance blocked due to his mopping project. He wouldn't move so literally I had to squeeE between him the mop bucket and the door with a bad hip, and extremely wet floors. I am so disappointed. I love Denny's food! It's good home style food for a decent price. I usually order my food from a different location to be delivered to my home. Today I ordered from 1605 N Federal to be delivered to my job. I ordered through Denny's online ordering, paid a tip and delivery. An hour later I get a call from someone at the store saying my order has been ready for pickup for a while. When I explained that I ordered online for delivery through the Denny's website, the girl said "we don't deliver." Um...What?!? I paid the delivery fee. She said I had to call their corporate office to get a refund. Was so unhelpful through the whole thing...made no attempt whatsoever to help!!!So I did call the corporate office. Seems this location has a habit of not delivering food!! The gentleman I spoke to was very apologetic and refunded my money with no issues. 15 minutes later here is my food. Not even warm. Which says they make no attempt to keep your food warm for pick up orders!! I still love Denny's. I will still order and eat in the restaurant, but I will NEVER go to or order from this location. And I will tell EVERYONE I know to not go to this location. read more

I have been coming here for years, and it is always good. The servers are always polite, friendly and accommodating. Having 3 picky kids who always want something slightly different than the menu, they have always managed to get me what my family wants and they never try to overcharge me or pad the bill. Conversly they always seem to do their best to get me the best deal to fit my needs, and saving my family money. I always give them a great tip for their extra efforts and they reply in kind 10 times with their hospitality and their out of the way efforts. Chief aka Batman is the best! Such a wonderful person & made my sister and I like we were right at home. He drew a Batman sign on our pancakes, which is freaking awesome. I've been a customer for years and for some time, there was something missing. It's people like Chief who light up a place and put big smiles at 9 pm on a Friday night! I've been to this Denny's a handful of times over the years and maybe that is the issue... it's usually a couple of years in between before I come back here and therefore not notice the decline in service which I would imagine would be eventual. Maybe not. Who knows. I used to come here back in my clubbing days after hitting the bars and clubs... that is after the more intriguing late night diner, The White Spot closed. On my last trip back to Denver and Colorado I came here after visiting a few craft breweries. I got seated quickly but it took absolutely forever to place my order, get my food and get my bill. I even ordered something extremely simple, a B.L.T. and it still was over an hour and it wasn't all that busy either. Most of the other Denny's I go to one can eat a bit more of a complex meal and be on your way much more quickly. In other words, not efficient at all. It also didn't help that some of the silverware was kind of dirty which could have been rectified if I could have pinned down a waitress. read more

As we were seated, I noticed the booth seat was all torn up, I mean come on, the owner can't replace those old ass seats?? We ordered the Cali Club Sandwich, and boy that was a mistake. The sauce wasn't even Mayo, it was some weird sauce. The bread wasn't even toasted, and the sandwich was just a plain sandwich.
