This is a clean, very clean Denny's. The whole time we were there our server Jonathan was cleaning. He was a great server too! He kept checking on us and didn't forget a thing. I stopped by this Denny last night to grab dinner. I was staying at the hotel across the street so this was within walking distance for me. When I arrived, I got seated quickly because they were not busy. My waitress handed me the menu and I ordered the cali club sandwich with fries. I saw they had a reward where if you make an account then you get a free dessert so I signed up. I had the offer on my phone and showed it to my waitress. She didn't seem to know what it was but said I had to buy a dessert first to use the reward which didn't say that for the reward. It was basically a free offer since I signed up. So instead of arguing I just decided to use it another time since I have like 3 weeks before it expires. My sandwich came out quick and it wasn't that good. The fries were not good either, I added salt and pepper with ketchup but it didn't help. My dining experience here was average, you pay your bill at the host stand. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars, but I will give it the 1 so people can see this review. Going to bullet point this for conciseness & an easy read: *When we ordered our food, the waitress didn't write everything down *Our food took 40 min to come out, other tables were served before us that arrived after us *When our food finally did come, she set the serving platter on another table, left it there, and went to bring things to another table that already been served...this was my personal favorite *Our food came out as the wrong order, cold, stale/grey looking, gravy was gelatinous, and incorrect quantities of items came out We very kindly (and I mean that) told them that this was just not acceptable and we weren't interested in continuing our meal. After some confusion, they let us leave at no charge which was nice, deserved since not a morsel of food was consumed, but nice nonetheless. When it comes to your local Denny's, it's just your typical spot-not much to write home about. Came in around 11 pm on Thursday, and there were only 2 other tables filled. It was just 1 server and 1 chef working, but the service was good. My server was super attentive and kind. They've got free wi-fi, so that's a plus. My food came out very fast. read more

I haven't been to a Denny's in years and don't think I'll be back any time soon. The interior of this location was super musty, like we were walking into a wall of cigarette smoke. Our server was friendly, but service was incredibly slow, especially given that there were only two other tables of guests while we were there. We got the French toast and chocolate chip pancakes. The pancakes were fine, pretty heavy on the vanilla and a ton of chocolate chips, but still somewhat enjoyable. We did not enjoy the French toast at all -- it tasted just like slightly wet plain bread. read more

We went there for breakfast today and their gas went out in the kitchen about 45min into our wait for food. They served us "what they had" which was not what we ordered, and it was cold. The server said they would give us a discount on our food, but the manager wouldn't discount more than 10%. When I objected, the manager wouldn't even talk to me personally and left the poor girls at the register to apologize. $6 off a $60 check is not sufficient when we didn't even get what we ordered. read more

This Denny's isn't really a 24 hour restaurant. About every 3 weeks or so I have a buddy from the east coast comes to Denver and we always try to see each other. We picked this Denny's and yet have been able to see each other because they close the dining area and say that they only make takeouts. This has happened every single time. So really they a glorified drive through. Lost me business but I'm sure they don't care. read more

if I could give zero stars, I would. when we walked in, the MOD refused to acknowledge us with even a nod. He seated us kind of away from the whole dang group of gangster kids that were sitting in there. They didn't acknowledge our existence for over 20 minutes and when we went up to the cashiers podium, the MOD still wouldn't look one of us in the face and so we went back and sat for another 5 minutes, after the manager said someone would be by asap. Nobody was doing anything, but they didn't come even to offer us drinks. However, the group that walked in AFTER us was ordering their food after we got up to leave. They still didn't come talk to us so we got up, I grabbed our menus off the table and handed them to the manager on our way out and thanked him for the non-service. He still wouldn't even look at us. I used Denny's to cater brunch for a party. It was awesome and everyone loved it. What happened while picking up my food helped reaffirm my faith in humanity. Yes. I know. I just wrote those words about Denny's - it's not a mistake. You might not think about Denny's to cater a party. If not - think about it. The grand slam pack is great. The french toast is amazing. Plate it yourself and watch the compliments roll in - even from people who *don't think* they want to eat at Denny's. In addition to the food - let me tell a quick heartwarming story that happened while picking up my order. A kind-looking old man walked slowly and laboriously up to the register, getting ready to pay. He was by himself and didn't have a wallet - just a credit card which he later explained was from his family so he could pay. The host swiped the card a couple times and discretely tried another machine to ensure the issue was not with the machine. The host quietly brought over the manager who informed the man that the card didn't work and they were sure the issue was not on their side. You could see in the man's face he was worried and not sure what to do. He had no other card and had already eaten. He might have been in before - but it didn't appear they knew him like a regular. I started to expect this would become a scene and take a while. Would they tell him to call his family? Make him promise to pay next time? Put him to work in the back washing dishes? . . . Do I have some cash? Should I help him out? Before I could think further - the manager responded quickly with kindness: "Don't worry about it - we've got you. We'll take care of it" Incredulous - he responded: "You mean it's free? I don't have to pay?" and the manager responded. "Yes - we know you - it's on us. Don't worry about it.". No hemming and hawing. No questioning or demands. No refusing to do the right thing because of some corporate policy. Just a manager - who knows the difference between an honest mistake and someone taking advantage of her - doing the right thing and treating people with dignity, kindness and respect. She made the world just a little bit better by doing the right thing. Support this Denny's - they are great. read more
