Denny's just makes me happy. Whenever I'm craving cheese fries smothered in bacon, this is my go-to place. Fast, friendly service, even at 2am after a night out at Skidoos..you can experience some interesting characters around this time but it's been nothing but a good time. When I was attending GMU, I used to have my late night study sessions in a back corner booth (I've been a big fan for quite a few years). This past experience on Friday night was no different, we had 4 rather than our normal 2 at a booth and Remy took amazing care of us, as he always does. I literally sit in Remy's section every time, he is the best guy. Whenever someone mentions they want pancakes and suggest Ihop, I say NOPE, we're goin to Denny's. read more

Quite impressed.. As I'm not a fan of Dennys.. Must have been the location.. Anyway... It was late at night, just got off a flight and I was STARVING... My first choice, closed up on me as soon as I got into the parking lot.. (whatever) so what's next? Dennys.... Swong on over and though I refuse to eat in, the restaurant was clean.....I ordered a hamburger to gooo.. Whatever it was it had avocado n grilled onions... (you would have thought I was drunk.. I was just tired) the presentation of my burger was perfect, not smashed or thrown in haphazardly.. The person who was serving me informed me my avocado is separate from my burger which made me giddy with glee.....i plan to return to Dennys as they have a repeat customer. read more

I must say I've had a prior bad experience with Denny's and swore off eating at their locations but I must say this Denny's in particular has made me change my mind. The service here was AWESOME!!!! The food was great, everything always hot and fresh, the kids loved the kids menu and the coffee was good and always flowing. I was on vacation with my family in the area for five days and all but one day (our first day) we ate breakfast there. One night we stopped by for desert and that too was great. This is Denny's. Breakfast foods at all times of the day. From what I can remember, service has always been good. It's not amazing or anything, but the food is not bad, no complaints. It's a safe choice for a conservative meal. I love that they have a "value" menu for the more economically-minded. I want to start off by saying I love Denny's more than I love Ihop. I think Denny's has a better selection and on numerous occasions cooked my egg over medium correctly as opposed to Ihop. I will say I had an amazing experience with my waiter Ruel (Alex), he is pleasant, very nice, and gets my order right and I don't have any complaints with him. If this was a review about the establishment or that great experience with Ruel than I would give this place five stars. However my last experience has caused me to shed a star. The service and food was not as good as it had been previously and I have chalked that up to it being Christmas, lack of enough servers and something going on with the kitchen staff (someone was ease dropping and conveyed that bit of info to everyone else waiting in line). My pancake puppies were okay but I didn't finish it, the meat on my sand which was cold and the rest of the sand which was hot, not unbearable but I would have liked the entire sand which hot. My waiter gave a lackluster service and unfortunately no matter what is going on a smile and pleasant communication goes a long way with me. read more

Easily not the best place I go to but definitely not bad. Always a go to when I get my late night munchies. Overall it's kept clean, and has a laid back vibe. Staff is usually friendly unless there's a rush in which case they're all business. Food is average for a diner but it has a good selection so your not stuck with boring food options. Favorite thing about this dennys is probably Floyd (a waiter) great guy, always friendly with everyone, makes sure everyone is doing well , and if anything is wrong he always tries to make it right. 10 out of 10 for him. read more

For the same price, you could go to other family restaurants for better food. I'm not saying there is something wrong with this place. The food is served as shown on the menu, the staffs are nice, the atmosphere is cozy; it's a good restaurant. However, its overall selection of entries lacks the satisfying sensation that other family restaurants give, such as IHOP or Cracker Barrel. If order a steak, there is just a streak. If you order an omelet, there is just an omelet. There is no authentic pancakes, soups, or salads that accompany the food -- it's like driving a car without side mirrors or a stereo. And what's up with the coffee? If I order a coffee, I'd rather have a pitcher full of it without having to ask the server 3 times throughout the dinner to have it refilled. read more

This Denny's is the real deal. Every evening I come I'm greeted right away and immediately offered drinks. They share in my excitement for the products like the fried cheese melt coming back and have an empathetic ear when my favorite pancake puppies are out of season. We came in with a four and one year old. We were asked twice if we needed a high chair and said yes. The host shook his head at us and walked away. Love this place! Great service and good food. They're open 24 hours a day and anytime you're hungry you can go in there and pretty much get whatever you feel like eating. There's a couple that are really cool, they always remember what you ate last time and ask you if that's what you want this time. They even remember how you like it prepared. I work nearby so I've started coming on a regular basis. The 3 times our waitress was very forgetful, we had to ask her several times for items we needed which delayed our stay. This is extremely frustrating when you're on a time crunch for work purposes. The last time we came we were approached by our waitress regarding our last visit. She had accused us of not paying our bill. I felt she should have had a manager come to our table and discuss this matter with us. We pulled up our bank records and showed her that we had in fact paid that day. I believe that when we got to the front to pay we were given the wrong check or they didn't link our payment to the bill. Regardless it ruined our dining experience. read more

I have been to this location many times and every time it seems like the service gets worst. This time will be my last time going to this particular Denny's. The manager seems to do nothing. He is just a lazy person. He doesn't run food. He walked by food that needed to be run 5 times. Also the servers don't seem to run their own food. I sat there and timed my food once I saw it was ready. 5 servers walked by it (including mine) and after 5 minutes of it just sitting there, someone finally grabbed it and brought it to my table. I come here all the time with friends for late night meals, and Denny's always offered the best comfort, I feel right at home despite being out 2 AM in the morning. I went for a Hobbit breakfast after watching The of Desolation of Smaug here, and it was a fantastic follow up of the movie, it made me so happy. And the service always a plus. I frequent the Denny's on lee hwy in Fairfax I have gone to this one for years, frankly it has been at this location for many years. I have always liked the food at Denny's. They are open 24hrs. Dennys it is time for a remodel your looking a little worn and torn ---rugs need to be replaced as do the wooden blinds, you need to paint!!! Booths are worn some have holes. I have emailed your corporate office 3 times, the least you could of done is acknowledge me. Please remodel this Denny's as it is like an old friend to some of us. read more

Caught In The Act Of Lying! I came here for a quick lunch, of course it being on Sunday around lunch I expected it to take a little longer than it usually would. However, I had no idea what I would be encountering. We were put on a waiting list, the blonde haired manager, she got an attitude with us cause we couldn't here her over the noise of the huge amount of people in the building. We waited about 20 mins for a table, while being escorted to our table the same manager almost hit two people (GUESTS) with our menus and then once to the table, she slammed our menus down on the table and walked away, the menus were so bent and unprepared for our dining. We waited for our server to come take our order, ended up waiting around 10 mins for him to come to us, once he came he acted very rudely, his shirt was untucked and his uniform was very gross. He honestly looked like he hadn't showered at all before his shift. He was very rude and kept mumbling words under this breath, his name is "Walle D". He would never stand still while talking to us, he would talk while walking away and we could never understand what he was saying, I ordered blueberry pancakes and when they arrived in front of me I could count 5 individual blueberries in my pancakes, this was unacceptable! So I kindly asked him could I get a few more blueberries in a bowl brought out to me. He began to tell me that he couldn't do such a thing that they don't have whole blueberries, that they're premixed, and he couldn't do it. I stopped him right in his tracks and caught him in a lie. I informed him that I used to work for Denny's and I know they don't come "pre-mixed and not whole" as he stated. He immediately walked away without saying anything, I'm assuming cause he realized he was caught red handed in a lie. But less than a minute later, here he comes with a small bowl of blueberries like I requested. I thanked him very much. I looked around while eating my meal and I couldn't help but notice that this Denny's is by far the worse I've ever visited. Everything was nasty. Trash was thrown everywhere, there were tables just sitting with trash on them not being cleaned, all employees looked really dirty, none of their uniforms were tucked in and cleaned like they're supposed to be. The list goes on. Also whole building smelled REALLY Bad. My advice to management. You need to train your employees better, you're doing a horrible job. Your job is to encourage the Denny's environment and work ethics along with its policies. I've seen homeless people present themselves better than your employees and yourselves do. Denny's corporate needs to launch an investigation on your location for its sanitary awareness and cleanliness. Do yourself a favor. Had a terrible experience. Brought my handicapped mom and waited 15 min for a table. The table we had chosen when we arrived,needed to be cleared of dishes. The cashier told the waiter and he said he was busy. He took an order at the table next to ours and went to the ordering kiosk. He used his middle finger and looked back at me at least 6 times as he was placing and order. My mom can't walk or move well and said, why don't we take that clear table over there. We walked over to the table and the Hostess told us we could not sit there, that we weren't on the sign in list. She got in my face and told me to move. We tried to explain to her that we had been waiting and my mother needed to sit down. She insisted we were not in the list. We left and went to IHOP and had a wonderful breakfast with pleasant staff who were very accommodating to quickly seat us and take our order happily and quickly.
