Awsome service and fresh food. Ive been to plenty dennys and yea its just a diner no big whoop right? Well not for me i am big on eating the nachos from dennys and this location served some fresh & hot loaded nachos.as if it came straight from the kitchen without waiting to be served on the counter. I ordered the new bacon potato steak skillet with broccoli and it was delish. I added a fried egg to add some more taste to it. My wife and I ordered the Lumber Jack Slam with two fried eggs, white toast, sausage links, and bacon. The food took forever to come out, the waitress Bianca was lost most of the time, and the sausage links were raw in the middle. They weren't blood red but they were hot pink. The place was pretty dead and the service and food took long. I guess If I absolutely had to stop in and eat I would, deff not on my top list. read more

Horrible Experience with "manager" Freddy Bell. Will not return while he is on shift. The entire staff response off his negative attitude. Not their fault he has a horrible worth ethic. This place is at most mediocre. Been coming here since I moved to homestead in 08 and I can honestly say I have never left fully happy or satisfied. The last time we came they only had like 2 servers and made us wait a while to sit. I ordered the steak cobb salad and it was un-eatable. The greens were dark, soggy and old. Today I decided to go in with my kiddo for dinner. The waiter was a nice kid still super green to the business. I remember those days so I decided to be nice. Today I waited a min to order drinks then I waited for atleast 10 mins, to recieve a lemonade. The food was decent. As we went to leave I told the waiter my son wanted a strawberry kids milkshake but the waiter brought me a $4 dollar smoothie with huge chunks of ice. My kid was not happy. I couldn't really return it because he was swamped and never came back, so I told the lady in the front. They comped it and removed it from the check. I placed an order at the Denny's in Florida City, FL (401 SE 1 AVE, Florida City, FL 33034) (Order No. 115832513) on 02/17/18 at approximately 6:35pm through Denny's Online ordering for my coworkers and I late lunch meal break. My order confirmation said my order would be ready to be picked up at 6:57pm. Giving the fact I know how busy the location gets, I allowed them some extra time so I went to pick up my order at 7:10. As I waited in the "Pick Up" area, NOBODY acknowledged that I was waiting because they were all too busy serving other guest. At 7:15pm, I waive for the attention of the hostess, I advise I was there to pick up my order. She said "Ok I'll check"... She continued to help other guest and mingle with other employees as time passed... It is now 7:25pm, & she continues to help other guest at their tables. It is now 7:30pm and more guest arrive and she begins to seat them. It is now 7:40pm an I ask another employee to please check on my order and he did. The original hostess comes back to the counter and starts to check out another guest, so I asked her if she checked up on my order. She said "Yeah, they're making it right now". Needless to say, I am VERY upset. I placed a simple order, Nachos, & Chicken Tenders, & it took the location more than an hour to make my food. I ordered online because I was at work and I couldn't afford to wait the long time for an order to be made given I only receive a 30 minute lunch break. So I ordered online to avoid the rush and line and I had to wait regardless. The hostess was VERY VERY rude, when I expressed how inconvenient that was her response was simply "Well... We are busy" and I expressed that I understood which is WHY I ordered online AND I gave an extra few minutes before heading to the location. She shrugged her shoulders and kept helping other guest. I asked for a manager and she said "He's in Walmart". Also I called this location at least 5 times and NOBODY answered and they kept answering and hanging up... I will make sure everyone in my social circle knows not to EVER order from Denny's as it's a waste of time and a headache because of lack of customer service and unbearble leadership. I ordered take out from this place a few days ago and the person that took my order said it would be ready in 15 minutes, so i said ok, let me get there in 25 minutes. So i get there and guess what? The food isnt ready, so i say be cool just have a seat, it cant be much longer, but it was, it was an extra 20 minutes longer to be exact. I was so pissed, sitting in this crowded ass restaurant, that i did not want be in so early in the morning on a weekend. I was disappointed with the quality of the food as well as the service. The pecans in my pancakes were scorched and the tea was starting to sour. Our waitress never came back to our table to refill drinks. I chose to leave a 10% tip on my debit card due to the poor service , however when I looked at the receipt later I noticed it was changed to 20%. Jeston was the worst waiter I've ever had. He put hair in our food, served us cold coffee and then put in our order 25 minutes later. He spilled water on the ground and never bothered to pick it up. There's something about craving breakfast in the night and when I do Denny's is where I like to spend my time. Their pancakes are fluffy, their eggs are terrific. The staff was very polite and responded quickly to every order. I didn't have to wait very long for my order, refills, or napkins. I definitely left there pleases with my visit and will most certainly be returning whenever I have my night cravings for some great breakfast. read more

This Dennys is always busy however I get my chicken loaded potato skillet in a timely matter. The portions are big and prices are great! The food is such high quality and always hot and delicious. Food is very fresh and tasteful. I have been to Denny's in Chicago but this place in Florida City is far better and had a great experience dining in here. Upon arrival to this restaurant which I visit often my daughters and I were instructed to have a seat and wait because the tables needed to be wiped off, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated There were only 2 waitress out on the floor, two cooks in the back and a manager. Once seated we ordered rather quickly and the food came in a decent amount of time. I placed a to go order and it took the waitress 30 minutes to bring us the to go order which was waiting to be picked up for 20 minutes or so. My daughter then ask for a to go box for her food and a to go cup for her drink. The waitress then proceeded to clean off a table. I got up to go to the counter to pay and the waitress rushed to get the to go drink and then ask my daughter you didn't want your food. I said she did but you never returned with the to go box. she left us standing there to take care of a customer that had came in for a to go order. The waitress was rude calling me honey multiple times. I don't understand why the manager couldn't come out and wait tables or at least clean them off.
