Along with todays good food was EQUALLY met by a pleasant server named Gloria! She was perfection! I like the nice music that they play retro 6050s it was just so relaxing and we had a really nice time. The food was really good this time didn't care too much for the biscuits and gravy but I'm a picky gravy girl so I'm sure it's just me .

Excellent staff and great cook. We were only there for breakfast but each day was great, Standard two egg breakfasts were had each day. Well cooked to order. Coffee standard fare but was good. Freshly made and coffee cup stayed full, We would definitely stop again if we pass through,

I never expect too much from Denny's, but wow! I walked in this morning at the same time as another person. We both waited in the very hot lobby for ten minutes without a worker in site. Then, the other lady poked her head into the kitchen and screamed "hello." Finally, a lady came out and told us their air conditioning has been out but there is a back room where it works. The place smelled of old grease, and slightly of urine. Beyond my better judgment, I followed her to the back room. After sitting for a minute a man came out and rudely asked "What can I get you?" I placed my order, which included black coffee and water. He brought out the water and coffee and quickly disappeared to the kitchen. When I took a drink of the coffee, I realized it was cold, and burnt. I looked at the lady seated next to me and she indicated that her coffee was bad too. We both waited for a while with no sign of the waiter, so I got up and hunted him down. Now mind you, that the other lady and I were the only customers in the whole place. When I finally found him, the waiter nonchalantly mumbled "I will make more and bring it to you". At this point I was done. I grabbed my things and walked right out. This is the third time in less than a year I was served yesterday's coffee at this place with never so much as an explanation or apology.

Southwest Benny breakfast. You have to try this divine creation.

My guy and I decided to go to Denny's after going to a yard sale. The restaurant was busy so we expected a wait before we were seated. There was one waitress billing out the previous patrons. When she went to seat some other people a nice waitress came to greet us and proceeded to ask if we wanted a table or booth. I informed her we would like a booth and she quickly seated us. While we were waiting a another nice waitress came over to see what we wanted to drink. We let her know and she brought the drinks to us. Let me tell you...I ordered the mango smoothie and the flavor was divine. I also enjoyed the texture which was smooth. We placed our order and thought we would have to wait awhile, but we received our food promptly. Well, my guy received his sandwich slightly later than his soup, but the sandwich quickly followed. I ordered a dish I had never tried before. It is called the Southwest Benny breakfast. Where has this meal been all my life? The flavor was amazing. I could not stop eating. I will definitely order that menu item again. One thing I have to point out that was truly exceptional was the waitress removed our empty plates from the table to get rid of the clutter. I cannot tell you how many times he and I have gone to restaurants and we have to shuffle the empty plates or cups because the waiters or waitresses never remove them. So kudos to her. All in all I was more than satisfied with our visit.

    Apple crips

Food was horrible. Apple crisp was full of oil and mushy and they gave me chocolate ice cream with it instead of vanilla without even asking if that was ok. The onion rings tasted like they sat out for a long time. Salad was out on top of warm food so was wilted and soggy by the time I got it home. Will not be back to this location.

That was nice. It's the little things that make customers feel appreciated! They have two salsas, red habanero and green tomatillo type, which was my favorite. The guacamole was actually guac - not full of sour cream like other restaurants use to increase the product. The girl working in the restaurant had such a JOYFUL presence and was in a great mood, a little giggly, with the cutest laugh. She even helped a little boy and his mom with a toy/quarter machine. The little boy skipped his way out, he was so happy! This crew must enjoy what they're doing! Guys cooking in the back were fast! She recognized customers as they came in and was kind to everyone, wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving! The food was EXACTLY what I was looking for... hot, fresh, seasoned nicely and very filling. The Burro meat was deliciously juicy, rice - savory, beans - authentic! Enchilada sauce was full of flavor, but not spicy. Loved it! This place played nice calming music, not too loud and the tile work in the entire place was beautiful! There's plenty of table space including high tops. Bathroom smelled like it had just been cleaned, everything was so tidy! I'll be back again to try the carne Asada!

Ive been on Yelp since 2006 (close…read moreto 20 years and well before Google maps or reviews ever existed) and without it, I would have missed out on a lot of cool and neat places like this! Thanks Yelp for helping me find 20 years of good eats, drink and fun! La Luz Del Dia means "the light of the day" in Spanish and boy is this place bright and cheery and the perfect start to a glorious and beautiful Sunday morning. You know this place is gonna be good because as I drove down the deserted road nary a car through downtown Globe and arrive at this place, you see a bunch of cars parked huddled near this place. I knew it wws gonna be good. I walk into this unassuming place and almost every table is taken at close to 9am on Sunday. There were a few seats at the counter facing the open kitchen so I made a beeline to sit down. Wait staff and customers in here are so nice and friendly! The cute girls working here are fast and efficient, and super sweet and all with a smile. I was pretty hungry as I hadn't eaten since Friday breakfast and was ready to gobble up a good breakfast. I had a chorizo burro (same as a burrito, still trying to figure out the difference) and a cup of coffee. Coffee was ok, and did the job. But, the burro was great! Southwest breakfast burritos are some of the best, and when you're in the Southwest, definitely don't pass this up to have. This burro was also huge and despite the fact I was famished, I could only eat a half of my burro. You can get red or green salsa, but since I am a spice pansy, I opted for the red, which was still more spicy than I can handle. By 9:20am, I was finished eating and ready to go. You go up to the cashier and pay there. There's a desert and drinks case by the register and lots of goodies there to choose from too. There was baklava, organized cake and brownies on offer. I also spied a chamoy pickle for sale too, here in the Southwest when the summers get so hot, having a pickle is sometimes in order to replace the salt we lose sweating so much! Overall, I loved this place! Loved the atmosphere as its kind of an old school diner, and everyone in here was a delight and the food was delicious! I'll be back again when coming thru Globe again! And you should definitely check this place out when passing thru Globe!

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Judy's CookHouse 2280 E Hwy 60 Globe, AZ 85501 Companion and I were exploring mining towns and came across this restaurant. We stopped for lunch. On entering we found a thoroughly modern fast food restaurant. We were seated immediately and offered menus and drinks. Quick inspection revealed a quiet, clean place with waitresses ready to be of service. The menu was 3 pages long and had lots of favorites on it. It was nice to see a fair number of senior items listed. Companion ordered the bacon burger done medium. It was cooked perfectly and appeared to be homemade and about a third of a pound. It was graced with nicely cooked bacon strips, american cheese, lettuce, pickles, tomato, onion and BBQ sauce. It came with a nice side of creamy cole slaw. For myself, I ordered the green chile burger done rare. Unlike many other places they will cook the burger the way you like it and mine was cooked to perfection. Again, a nice big patty with jack cheese melting over it along with lettuce and tomato and a large green chile draped over it. This was one of the very best burgers I have ever been served. It was dripping down my hands and arms, but that is why there are sinks in bathrooms. An outstanding burger served with perfectly cooked onion rings and an extra side of cole slaw that I ordered. There were huge sweet rolls that were just put out on the counter, but I didn't have the room to eat one, and companion couldn't even finish the burger that was ordered. If I am ever back in that area again you can be sure I will stop there and order the same burger again. Service was fast and sanitation was excellent and spotlessly clean. My only regret is that we don't have any place even close to this in the Phoenix area. An outstanding lunch. 5 stars

This patty protruded well beyond the brioche bun and, better yet, it was hand crafted, not pulled out of a box of 300 other patties that were shaped exactly the same. And the beef was flavorful. So this time, we split the zesty orange chicken and a Philly roll between us for the perfect amount of food for the both of us. The food was delicious too. The orange chicken had the very essential and yummy flavor of an orange! And anything that can get me to eat more veggies (such as this dish) is a win to me. If I had any complaints, I would've wanted more chicken in the dish, since it was made up of mostly noodles. The sushi was good! Maybe not "knock-your-socks-off" good, but we did just go with the basic Philly roll instead of something more exciting. Their menu had some really interesting sounding sushi rolls. I will say though, that the Philly roll was very pretty! Otherwise, our waitress was great and checked up on us. Our food was out pretty fast, and for Globe, I would definitely consider this more of an upscale/still casual place for a date. We'll be back to get more fancy Asian fusion food.

We haven't been here in years due to the last time we visited we had a very negative experience. Today was a little better, but not by much. My 6yo and I ordered 3 rolls(california, rainbow and caterpillar) and an appetizer(coconut tempura shrimp). We received 2 rolls before our appetizer, which to me was weird. They all came with wasabi and ginger, and I asked our waitress Loren if I could have some ginger without wasabi as I am mildly allergic. She said no because they use the same hand to serve both so the wasabi is in the ginger. I thought 'that sucks, cross contamination'. When the final roll(caterpillar) came out it had 3 sauces on it; unagi sauce, spicy Mayo and Siracha. I asked her when she came by again if it was supposed to have the spicy ones, she said 'oh yes, the caterpillar comes with all 3'. I had ordered it for my 6yo to eat, the menu has none of the spicy sauces listed in the description, just the unagi sauce. So, buyer beware, not all sauces are listed on the menu and if you have an allergy you might want to eat elsewhere because if there is one cross contamination, there are bound to be others.
