I have eaten here about 20 times. With the exception of a few bloopers I always get awesome service with good food. On a recent visit I received cold eggs. Overall, the experience was pretty much what you'd expect from a Denny's. Except for the bathrooms, which were a bit gross the building was clean and decent enough, and our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of. Our food did take about an hour to come out, which was longer than expected, but once it arrived everything was hot and tasted great. I really enjoyed my pancakes, and my friend was happy with their meal as well. While the wait was noticeable, the good service and solid food helped make up for it. read more

We needed to get on the road early and were delighted to find this Denny's open before the crack of dawn! The young man who sat us and served us was excellent at his job. On the road in CO. We wanted to go for breakfast and somehow found southern hospitality in Colorado. We were greeted by a hostess and a few waitresses when we walked in about 9:30 on a Saturday morning. Very friendly and all smiles welcoming us into Dennys. This place has happy people working here. We were seated in a large booth as we had 5 people. Our waitress Linda was very attentive throughout our meal and was always thinking ahead. She ordered the classic Benny breakfast (eggs Benedict), and I ordered the moons over mahammi. The food arrived in a timely manner and was hot and tasty. We certainly enjoyed our breakfast. Also, there is plenty of parking here. On the way out, I made sure I told the manager / owner what a great and friendly staff he had. I would recommend this place. read more

My husband I are came in for breakfast after enjoying an excellent meal and experience last week. Juana greeted us warmly when we arrived and led us to the table we asked for from our previous visit. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts again but the highlight was meeting Juana. She was very professional and friendly and checked on us during the meal to make sure everything was ok. Ate at this location after a concert and the wait person was essentially overworked. People came in and out while I waited for my food because no one was helping. I ordered a breakfast entree and a dinner entree to go and the order was pretty wrong when I got back to my hotel with it (I think this was because of the website not the wait person). All of my chicken tenders in my order were pretty good except one which was obviously a different style or brand of tender and tasted messed up. Everything else was pretty bland or outright not worth eating. Actually, I can safely say that I should have just gone hungry after the concert than ate here. I'm giving it two stars because the food has been good every time. We've been to this Applewood location a few times and the service quality has been up and down with a trend toward down. The most recent time we went, we received our food and then our server disappeared. After that we had to flag someone down for drink refills, ordering more food, for a take home box and for our check. When we were paying, the manager was working the register and she asked, "How was your visit?" I politely told her about the lack of service and our experience was reflected in the 5% tip we gave. She *didn't* say "I'm so sorry that happened" instead she said, "Low tips don't affect me". Seriously woman?! As a manager you should be teaching your servers how to give great customer service to maximize their tips. We'll be going to other Denny's locations from now on. read more

It's the first time I've been to this location it's pretty new and the service has been fantastic. I just stopped by here on the way to work and pleasantly surprised it was fast and friendly. I was immediately greeted by the manager Louis was his name, at the front entrance and seated in a booth. The waitress was also very efficient and had a great personality. This is one of the better Denny's in the area, whoever is the owner of this establishment I give them credit it's a nice venue. By nice I mean clean, well maintained and efficient. Nice booths, clean floors, tables not wobbly, ceilings lights and vents are not dusty or have mildew. The basic things OSHA and DOH love to inspect. I'd come here again with friends, family or coworkers to eat. Quick tip if you get there before 8:00 - 8:30 am it's not too busy, aside from the lunch crowd, if you go after 5pm especially on the weekends it's definitely slammed. I have always loved this Denny's because it is a local secret. The food was good, the service friendly, and the ambience welcoming. Today, the Denny's we loved was unrecognizable. It took many minutes to be greeted and seated (not normal for this location). Then it took several more minutes to be acknowledged by the waitress (again, not normal). Once we placed our order for drinks and food, it again took way too long to get our coffees (yes again, not normal). Tables needed to be bussed. customers needed to be served. Was this an anomaly? The staff was trying their best and was pleasant while doing so, but you could tell they were struggling. According to the staff, this was not an unusually busy day, but the effects of understaffing. And not because no one wanted to work, but because management had started shorting the staff as an expense cutting mode. Please restore your new Denny's to the one we are familiar and happy with. read more

My review is bordering on a two, but there were some positives. My server was a younger girl...I seem to recall her nametag read "Mini Bree". She was professional for a server at Denny's--using "you're welcome" instead of the more common "no problem". The bacon and ham were both cooked very well. The pancakes were standard Denny's--nothing special and the typical Sysco syrup. The hashbrowns were awful. Pretty much raw potatoes that were slightly browned on the top. When I was cashed out, I was asked "how was everything?" I told her the hashbrowns were very light. She said she would "tell the cook"--as if that does me any good. Also a knock against Denny's period is the fact they want you to write the tip in prior to having the card processed. I think this is rude to let someone see the tip up front. read more

Haven't done a 1 star for sometime. This place definitely failed. Staying across the way from there. Where we are staying knows the concert schedule for Red Rocks , why wouldn't they and plan accordingly? Most of the people in there , were at the concert and staying across the way. Went to a concert and then to Dennys after , since it was the only place open. They were busy , 3 on staff. Got seated pretty quickly. Placed the order in a reasonable amount of tine , so far so good. This is where is went south. Took about 20-25 minutes for the order to come out. Wife ordered the spaghetti with extra marinara sauce. Waitress brings the food , very little sauce . We asked about the sauce , got told that's all we have tonight. Then the waitress yelled to the manager about getting extra sauce. About another 10 minutes later here came some extra sauce. This was just bad , I mean ugly bad. No apology from the manager , the waitress did , but the manager should have made sure to say something. Paid the bill and left. I get it , it's Dennys , what should you expect ? Usually always has great food and great service, however I was taken aback last week when my family and I went in. We were all enjoying the new no mask mandate and the good food and service as usual. One of the waitresses was coughing her head off, no mask her nose was redder than Rudolph and she was making no effort to cover her mouth. Now if you have an employee that is sick but still has to work, could you please have them wear a mask ! Believe it or not Covid still exists. No matter what.
