Always like some simple dennys breakfast! The prices are what makes it great, breakfast foods are usually freshly made so it's usually great. The service is okay sometimes you do have to wait longer. The ambiance is just normal diner vibes lol

I dont know, overhard egg and Double Berry Pancake Breakfast

In all the years I been traveling, this is the worst service (of the 3 times in total) that I felt the need to share. I expected exactly what I ordered, First issue, I find out from the door dash driver that they do not have milkshakes (online it posted it was available, so I asked if we can substitute it with apple pie, that was denied. They said they would make a "personal special dish" we get fruit and cool whip. We didn't receive our full order of double berry pancakes or the second side order of bacon. The cook needs to get some serious training. Good Lord, this is just embarrassing. Especially since you couldn't get the order right or the right order you refuse to substitute something as simple as a pie, I would have had no problem paying the difference but damn, Im sure glad I didnt. All I enjoyed was the corm. Come on Dennys, get it together. I will be returning your food tomorrow.

I am SO glad i did because this was hands down one of the best meals ive eaten in years. My girlfriend is pescatarian so we opted to have all vegan/vegetarian options and this omnivore did not miss meat at all. My favorite dish by far was the watermelon crudo which, to me, defied all space and time. The watermelon looked, felt, and tasted like a beautiful tuna. The flavours had a Vietnamese flair to them, including a chili crisp and fresh mint, and i was using the delicious and crispy fries to sop up the rest of the sauce. Everything we ate was incredible, flavourful, and beautiful to look at. The atmosphere was romantic and dreamy, a huge change from the pug filled cozy pub that it used to be as the corner pug. Service was lovely and they surprised us by bringing us champagne and a sweet note at the end. It was absolutely amazing and we felt so taken care of. I will be thinking of this place for a long time and cant wait to go back!

The atmosphere was relaxing, clean, and family-friendly. One thing that immediately stood out was the menu. It's about 10 pages long, with an incredible variety of options. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, American classics, or Mexican favorites, there's truly something for everyone. The presentation is beautiful. The drinks are garnished with fresh flowers and slices of lemon or cucumber, making them feel extra special. Even the food is served with colorful touches like a slice of orange and a strawberry on a skewer, showing they really pay attention to the details. My kids enjoyed an orange juice and an apple juice. I ordered the mango dragonfruit lemonade, and it was refreshing, flavorful, and the perfect drink for a warm day. For my meal, I had the avocado toast topped with an egg and crispy bacon. It was fresh, filling, and absolutely delicious. The boys loved their meals too. One had the chocolate chip pancakes, which were fluffy and loaded with chocolate chips, while the other had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich served with crispy home fries. They also offer a great selection of specialty waffles and pancakes, giving us plenty of reasons to come back and try something new. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service was outstanding. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Between the delicious food, beautiful presentation, generous portions, reasonable prices, and excellent service, this is definitely a place we'll be returning to. I highly recommend checking it out!

Absolutely divine…read more It has been so long since I've been able to have a crab cake that's gluten free, but at The Charles, their crab cakes are gluten free and lovely. But first, walking into The Charles is a step back into time yet still fresh and intentional. Plenty to look at all around the restaurant. The layout of even the bar is nice with seats by the windows and plenty of TVs playing the games without being disruptive. The building is gorgeous, well kept, and I can see how this restaurant gets packed quickly! But back to the gluten free crab cake. I would have loved some slightly larger chunks of crab, it was the crispy texture on the outside and soft inside that made my heart melt. The cakes sat lightly on an aioli and beside some greens, and each bit was delectable and delicious. Lovely appetizer. I also have the octopus basquaise, and I loved it. The potatoes needed just a smidge more seasoning and were sitting in oil, but I cared not, because it was an oil with Kalamata olives and tart, and how lovely it all was together. The octopus was nicely cooked and tender and not greasy. The potatoes were a lovely vessel, and the aioli was not too overpowering. A delicious fish overall. The service was great, friendly, and you can tell they love their regulars. Everyone was on the move at all times and overall very efficient and kind. Tons of gluten free dishes naturally. I loved coming to The Charles and look forward to coming back later this week to try their actual dishes. But if the entrees are even close to as good as the appetizers, I'm sure it will all be delicious!

The place looked spacious and with a lot of light, it looked clean and they seemed to have a nice selection of wines (for those that like it) , they were displayed for people to see, which I thought looked very nice. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I found it odd that there was only 1 restroom for the size of the restaurant. Our waiter was nice, he took our order and we were excited. The food took a VERY long time, we were starving, and we had kids with us so that wasn't good. Some of our orders were wrong and so unfortunately we had to wait even longer for the right meal. We didn't order alcohol but we did older a couple of mocktails. I was SUPER excited for them because that's something I always appreciate at a restaurant. I'm sad to say that they were AWFUL!! straight up syrup, not bubbly (some were supposed to have soda in them) not sweet, simply not enjoyable at all, I ended up switching it for a simple club soda, I figured it was a safe bet. When my food came out, it was ok, I had the avocado toast, and it was forgettable, my sister had the chicken and waffles and now THAT was the meal to get, it was large in portion and that chicken was beyond tasty!! My other sister has the lomito sandwich with the chips and it was good, something missing but she enjoyed it. The rest of the food were burgers and they were ok, the kids had burgers and Mac and cheese and they were not tasty according to the children's disinterest in barely touching their food (and they love cheeseburgers). I'm always willing to bypass certain things as long as customer service delivers BUT unfortunately they fell short. We were celebrating an engagement and so we were all very happy and in a great mood, when suddenly workers around us were cleaning up the neighboring tables, and even sweeping very close to us. We thought the place was possibly closing? (Even though it was only 2:15pm). I asked if they were closing and they said that they close the restaurant from 3-4 so their employees can go eat .... I'm not against giving them a break BUT, it really felt like they were kicking us out, we felt pressured to eat fast and wrap it up, not a good feeling, when you are in the zone of happiness. It was our first time there so, I would have appreciated if they would have informed us that the restaurant takes a little break in between and then we would have decided if we wanted to stay or go elsewhere. They did bring a little dessert and 2 mocktails for the newly engaged which was nice, I'll give them that. Overall, I don't think the food and experience was worth me coming back or recommending this place, I'm sure there's other much better places.

The inside is comfortable, colorful and well appointed. Service was friendly, but they seem like maybe they're thinly staffed at the moment because, even though it wasn't particularly crowded, I wanted to get my check for about 10 minutes at lunch before I had to ask for it. I ordered a Pan con Chicharron off the breakfast menu, which they serve until around noon I believe. Even though it seems like lunch type sandwich to me, in Peruvian cuisine it's considered more of a breakfast item. It came with huge chunks of gently fried pork belly, slices of sweet potato and Salsa Criolla, which is the red onion salsa popular in Peru. It came in a huge crusty roll. that was full of the other ingredients and cut in half. I've never had another sandwich quite like this. The color was great. They were so generous with the ingredients that they spilled out of the bread. The bread was super fresh. They served it with aji and thin crispy potato sticks that I think may be called papas Hilo. So you could use the aji to add flavor if you wanted. They charged me $10 for this, along with complimentary chips, three different aji and Cancha (the crispy Peruvian corn kernels). I thought this was a tremendous value. I would definitely return to try more of the menu. 4.25 Stars
