My sister felt like eating pancakes for breakfast today so we went to The Sloppy Waffle this morning - absolutely delicious!! My sister had the apple cobbler liege waffle and I had the yogurt fruit filled pancake. Sophia's service was friendly and quick. The ambience was clean, and cozy. Lucy, the owner, was also very friendly. I look forward to going back!

Driving through and looked up the closest breakfast spot and this was it and so happy it was!!! We got the apple cobbler liege waffle, the blueberry pancake and the two egg plate scrambled with cheese, home fries, crispy bacon and homemade bread. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious! The fruit compote was homemade and real fruit, so dang good! The pancake was huge!!! And the bread made in house was especially yummy!! We saw others get the chicken and waffles and the pancake roll and those looked absolutely amazing too and we could hear them raving! It appears to be a women-owned small business so that made my heart especially happy too! A

Such a great "hole in the wall" place! The ordering area is small, but they have a back room for dine in that is quite large. You order at the front and they bring your order to you. The food is incredible! Large portions, full of flavor. There's no way you'll leave here unsatisfied. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the full breakfast gives you some of everything. A heaping playe of fried breakfast potatoes, bacon, eggs, toast AND a side of waffle - what could be better!?!

Came here for the first time to try their food. Ordered a sloppy waffle and chicken club sandwich. Food was cooked quickly and fresh. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The Louie Special and Upgraded Waffle- Pumpkin Pie

We stopped here as a midway point on our roadtrip and were so happy we did! This place is Amazing!! Everything is homemade, organic and cooked with love! We got the Louie Special, which comes with 2 eggs, homemade toast, home fries, choice of a mini waffle or pancake and choice of bacon or sausage. Everything was spectacular. My boyfriend upgraded to the pumpkin pie waffles for an extra $3 and they were unbelievable! Go here if you can!

This was my first time there and just know, you order and pay up front then sit down. We got seated but no one told us to order up front so we sat for way too long waiting for a server to come by. The young man apologized and was very kind about it. I ordered their staple, chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and it was so good!! Highly recommend going there!

I have been wanting to go to this spot for years and finally went, and it was totally worth it! I got the spicy chicken and waffles. They make their own bread and use it for the chicken, it has a great flavor and doesn't feel too greasy or heavy. The waffle was just the right amount of food too, not over bearing or anything. The eggs were cooked perfect and had good flavor and the hot sauce was a great addition. Everyone here is super nice and makes you feel like you are having a family breakfast. The way the spot is decorated like a house. You feel welcome and invited in.

Came here on a Friday morning for brunch and almost left due to the entrance being hidden around the side of the building - their front door was locked which threw us off, but someone was nice enough to tell us where the real door was. We were seated quite quickly and the staff was super friendly and nice. The inside was very quaint a felt pretty homey - there were a few other parties there as well, but it didn't feel too too busy. We placed our orders at the front and our food didn't take too long to come out. The chicken and waffles was pretty large for its price which I thought made it a good deal. It tasted yummy as well! The chicken was probably the best part - the waffle was a little underwhelming due to it being a little soggy. The lemon pie waffle was delicious taste wise, but in size it felt a little disappointing. Overall, a very solid brunch spot with good options and diversity in their menu with a taste to match. Their staff made for a nice experience. Thanks Sloppy Waffle!

Some people gravitate to sweet breakfast items. I generally prefer savory. Today, I was in the mood for something different and ordered a S'mores Belgian Liege waffle at Sloppy Waffle ("SW"). I hadn't been to SW for years. Service was friendly today, but the ordering and food delivery system seemed convoluted. I planned to eat outside and I walked inside to order at the register, but I was given a menu and a table outside. I was told to come back inside when I knew what I wanted. I did that and the food was later brought to my table. I don't need a full sit down experience. But, even if I could have just selected a table after I ordered, which is what happens at places like Hartford Baking Co. or Riley's Hot Dogs, that would have streamlined the process. In any event, although I prefer savory breakfast items, I have to respect the S'mores waffle's full court press of stylish sweets. The waffle was topped with graham cracker crumbs, a whipped cream topping (that may have had marshmallow flavor) and chocolate squiggles. Every layer worked. 5 Stars for the waffle, but I'm giving 4 Stars overall for the awkward service setup.

If you're looking for a casual dining breakfast with a side of extra sweetness then you want to come to this location. They offer delicious waffles that come with a variety of flavored toppings. When I went I got something I thought would be more on the simpler side but you'll want to ask for extra syrup. The waffles are thick so you need enough syrup to coat it nicely.

Best waffle I've ever had and nice cozy dinning area. I think it's overprice because all this cost about 30$ but I will be coming back.

Located in East Harlem, the subway took me to 103rd Street. A steep hill fortified my appetite. Cafe D'Anvers is easy to spot with it's inviting red exterior. Laura was at the table. Jackie greeted us cheerfully. We came here for Moules Frites which we ordered and a glass of Sancerre to wash it down. Two large kettles were put down in front of us with plenty of mussels and a separate bowl of fries. Mayo and ketchup to dip the fries. I prefer mayo. We ate our way enjoying the meal. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with a sour cherry sauce and their signature chocolate mousse with strawberries and puffs of whipped cream. Both desserts satisfied immense. I recognized the mousse cups as I had bought them at Eataly. Jackie told us that they make the mousse and have an account with Eataly to sell it there. Laura and I enjoyed our lunch here. I also spied Jo Malone hand wash of English Pear and Freesia in the gender neutral restroom. Cafe D'Anvers is a cozy restaurant with both seating and a bar area. However, this place is sneaky about prices. Firstly, They do not list prices on the menu, and after seeing my receipt, I understand why. We appreciated the fans set up to keep the air circulating. Service was very attentive while we were there. Everyone with whom we interacted was gracious, friendly and attentive. The fries were great but some crusty French bread would have been a good addition, to help soak up the flavorful broth. The Merguez sandwich was a miss. Despite the menu stating that it was served on a baguette (and picture on Yelp of other diners receiving the sandwich on a baguette), ours was served on ciabatta. Really, not the same thing. We did not say anything at the time but we would not have ordered it had we known. Total disappointment. Also, the person on our party that ordered this sandwich found the fries way too salty. Luckily, the attentive staff kept the water refills flowing. I doubt we would return to this restaurant in the future the next time we're in the area, despite the friendly and attentive service.
