Me and my old timer buddy Bob went here tonight after many visits and we both left acknowledging that we were treated poorly! We've been visiting this location around 10 times in the last few months. The service was pretty good and the food is always good. Tonight the script was flipped. Our frequent bartender Hailey was totally opposite in personality to us as she had been in the past. She ignored us completely and was chatting it up with everyone on either side of us. I had to wave my arms twice to get her attention. Her manager boss was working along side of her and she was nothing short of a cigar store Indian! Totally dismissive. We did wait about 45 minutes on a Friday night for a large party but will say service was fantastic once we were seated. Bread, drinks and apps were brought out very quickly. Our waiter was on top of everything between orders and drink refills. We got so much food for the price we paid. The steak was actually very good for such a cheap price . It was a busy Friday night but still not too loud. One thing to know before going is that they can't seat more than 9 to a table , they don't take reservations around but do allow someone to put in a waitlist (though be aware the party won't be seated until everyone is there). Went here for dinner at the start of their day. Told we'd have to wait for a table till the waitress had clocked in. This was 20 minutes after they.had opened. Had to wait another 10 minutes till she came back from wherever she went. Totally unnecessary to have patrons wait because a server couldn't get organized to be on time. We finally got seated with a different server who was very pleasant and helpful. And, of course, the basket of biscuits came with us as we were seated. Ordered a couple hurricane margaritas and diet cokes. Both arrived pretty quickly. We placed our orders, filet with baked potato and prime rib with steak fries and more biscuits of course. We both picked the Caesar salad as our second side. And to their credit they produce one of the best 'mass' produced Caesar salads around. Croutons on top rather than mixed in with the salad would be better so that they don't get soggy. Not a long wait before our entrees arrived. Filet was cooked as requested and was very tender and well seasoned. Baked potato was a good size and with plenty of butter. Prime rib was more on the rare side than medium rare but that worked without a problem. Only issue with it was that there very little seasoning. The outside was nice and dark and I expected to taste plenty of spices but they weren't there. The prime was tender and juicy and there was a small container of au jus to make it even moister. The steak fries were okay but they ended up getting soggy because of the juices from the prime rib. Overall the meal was good. We were seated at a bench seat on one side and chairs on the other side. Seating was comfortable. The major downside was the music was too loud making it difficult to have a conversation. We did request that the music be turned down which they did too but someone decided it wasn't loud enough and turned it back up only to have the manager go back and turn it down again. We had a great dinner today at Texas Roadhouse, in Manchester, CT! Our server, Nicki, was awesome--very attentive and friendly. She checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy with our meals. We never had to ask for refills; she noticed from across the room and brought fresh drinks right over. My T-bone steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. There was even enough for leftovers. Excellent food and excellent service! If I had to make any complaint or suggestion, it would be that the restaurant is always cold. You definitely want to bring a sweater or jacket, otherwise it can get uncomfortable--and the food cools off quicker because of it. read more

I usually get the house salad special to order which is romaine lettuce, diced boiled egg, cheddar cheese. This salad go's great with the honey mustard dressing. Tonight was one of the best nights here. Easy waitlist check in, our waitress Stephanie was soo amazing!! Friendly polite quick service and very attentive to us! we were not ready to order and she was patient to wait for us. I recommend using the waitlist on the app so that you're not coming to the restaurant and waiting over 60 minutes while people are staring at you bypassing them. our side dishes came out pretty quick, Stephanie came back with two baskets of bread she also came back with a brand new ketchup after we told her that it was empty. I visited this texas roadhouse yesterday with my brother. I have come to this location and the springfield location hundreds of times, it is one of my favorite places. But, yesterday, when I went, I ordered my meal, the kids mac n cheese, like I always do, and our server, denied me from ordering it. He said he could not serve it to me because I am over 12 years of age. I was not even offered the option of purchasing it as a side instead. I was very very disappointed as someone recovering from an eating disorder that I could not order a small portion of food, which is all I can handle at the moment. I am typically an amazing tipper 30% and up, but yesterday, I could not bring myself to spend that money on service I was not even provided with. After he denied me from ordering my mac n cheese, he then only came back to the table once to check in on us. He did not refill our drinks or our bread basket, despite both being empty for over a half hour. My brother and I also noticed that he payed more attention to the other tables surrounding us, we assumed because they were adults. The filet medallions is my favorite thing to order I usually get two side salads instead of a second side and it still comes with rice. You can get peppercorn dressing or the mushroom one and I really love the mushroom one the most. Those inside outside seating and bar seating. The restrooms have a touchless opening which I found super convenient since they did not have paper towels and only hand blow dryers which I will not use. My wife & I have been to this place for many years, lunch & a movie is our fav. weekend activity. Our go to place to eat, it pretty much never disappoints. Wife always orders the double pork chop, she loves it & takes some home make two meals out of it. My favorites are beef tips, fajitas & bone-in ribeye. This is my first time ever coming to a Texas Roadhouse and I'm shocked at how good it is. The service was really friendly and attentive. The steak was AMAZING and better than some steaks I've had at so-called fancy steakhouses. Juicy and seasoned to perfection. The bread rolls and cinnamon butter are TO DIE FOR. They came out piping hot and fluffy. I don't even need a dessert when I can munch on those. The peanuts were also delicious and salty and I'm not usually a big fan of them. I was waiting for over 20 minutes and finally went to go check with the host if it's done because I was supposed to get a text and never did. The way I see things, the details of the customer experience at a restaurant are best categorized into three buckets. They are (in order of importance): the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Individual restaurants within a restaurant chain are limited as to their ability elevate the chain, as they are constrained by the chain for the food offerings and for much of the atmosphere. Great service is where they can best differentiate themselves. Individual restaurants in a chain, however, are NOT limited in their ability to disappoint. As a restaurant chain, I slightly prefer Texas Roadhouse over the others in its peer group. But not this location. The kitchen has repeatedly demonstrated their inability to stop cooking a steak until it is way past medium rare. It's a shame, because up until a couple of years ago the were really quite adept. Having been disappointed here before, tonight I spefically ordered "Medium Rare -- If you make a mistake, make it on the RARE side." Nope. They hammered yet another one. Not the nice juicy tender succulence of medium rare. Instead it was dry, tough, and had that all-too-familiar mealy "wet sawdust" mouthfeel that I have learned to associate with a way-overcooked steak from this location. No juiciness. Never even any noticeable myoglobin on the plate. "Hard" medium to well done has proven to be the rule, not the exception. And I have given them way too many chances to redeem themselves. Here is a hint for anyone in the restaurant business: When the entrees are served, offering to take one improperly prepared entree back and cook a new one is probably NOT a viable remedy. I understand why you offer that, but . . . Do you honestly think a that's a good solution, where one person has to sit there and watch everyone else eat, only to have everyone else sit around and watch him start eating after they are all done? Or are you thinking that everyone else should wait to start until the one entree is re-made, meaning only one person gets to eat his food before it goes cold? No, the only way that idea could ever really work is to remake *every* entree at the table. And you really ought to throw in a free round of drinks for the inconvenience. But, sadly, cooking me a new steak (which clearly would NOT have been the nice one I had originally picked out) was the ONLY remedy offered. Not even a word with the manager to see what else he might do (if anything). If my waitress had at least done that, I would have left her my usual tip -- 20-25% on the FULL price (even if it was partially discounted by the manager). I left a one-dollar tip. I did flag down and speak to the manager on my way out. Mostly to ensure that he was aware of the error, but also to confirm to myself that my server had not spoken with him previously. I told him I left a one dollar tip. I also told him the rest of her tip can come out of what I overpaid for that ruined steak. The nearby Outback Steakhouse closed a few years ago. Their steaks used to come to the table perfect medium rare every time. Does anyone know how good the kitchen staff is at Longhorn Steakhouse, on the other side of the mall? The service was off the charts great but food just "good". We arrived early before 5:00 on a Friday evening and sat at the bar. We often prefer bar seating because service is better than tables and this was no exception. The bar staff works as a team and literally every couple of minutes someone would ask if we need anything...BRAVO!! We started with combo appetizer that had boneless chicken, fried mozzarella and potato skins. Loved the mozzarella and skins! Best part of my meal. I ordered the small NY Strip and she got their smothered chicken. My steak was thin and dry. My bad; ordered medium well should have done medium on such a thin steak. Fries were soggy (BOO!!). Her chicken was better; moist and tender. Green beans didn't seem fresh (frozen or canned?) and were overcooked but the broccoli was fresh and cooked to perfection. We visited on a Friday night and joined the waitlist before leaving home. After we got to the parking lot, I advised them that I was there and the next message was to stay in the car until a table was ready. After 1 minute another text was received for us to make our way to the reception area. At the reception area, we were greeted politely and were taken to our seats where we were offered the best hot homemade bread and cinnamon butter. It was so good I had to get seconds to take home. The drinks menu is very enticing. I had the Jamaican cowboy as I am Jamaican of course and my spouse had the mango margarita. We were so full from having bread that we did not order an appetizer. All items on the menu were reasonably priced and there were a wide variety of options. Food ranged from hand-cut steak, fall of the bone ribs, chicken specialties, country dinners, dockside favorites, legendary sides, and the option to add a sidekick to any meal. My usual at these types of restaurants are ribs and fried shrimp but they did not have fried shrimp on the menu so that was a bummer. I ordered half rack of ribs with sweet potato, a sidekick of shrimp, and a house salad and my husband ordered half a rack of ribs with caesar salad and corn. All ribs, steaks, and combinations of dishes come with 2 sides. The salads came out first and after about 2 bites I was full. Our waiter also checked on us every 5 minutes which was nice. When we got our food I had given up eating for the night as I was stuffed but I still had to try it as it looked so delicious. Our ribs fell off the bone completely in our first bite. Before this night I did not eat a sweet potato but that sweet potato was so so good. I can now officially say that I eat sweet potatoes lol. My husband did not enjoy his corn as he thought it was corn on the cob but when it came out it was buttered corn in a bowl. The shrimp was also very salty. They had the option of paying online by scanning a bar code but we tried and it took forever to process so went the old school way and gave the waiter our card. The ribs were tasteless, extremely dry (almost choked), stale, overall inedible. I addressed my concerns with management and was only offered $5 off the cost of my meal. FYI I was invited to this establishment on my birthday and staff were aware. Management did not offer to provide a fresh replacement. I went to Texas Roadhouse with my family today. My brother really loves his stake, and I could live without it. If you don't love stake the options will be very limited. Being the team player that I am, I went to this place anyway. First, their rolls are delicious! They're soft and fresh, and a bit sweet. They came with cinnamon sugar butter, which I don't think I've had before, it's a nice change from typical butter. The rolls work with the butter really well. I got the Stakehouse Fillet Salad, and their cheese fries to share with my mom. My brother and dad got the Ft. Worth Ribeye. I got their Legendary Margarita. It was pretty good, not overly strong, but it's black salt rim, wasn't so pretty. My salad arrived, it's a good thing we decided to share, this was huge! My cheese fries were also a generous portion, and they were very cheesy. The stake in my salad was very tender and juicy. There were cherry tomatoes, croutons, bacon bits, red onions, blu cheese, topped with ranch dressing. Sounds delicious, but this was way too salty. Super salty. I also tried my dad's ribeye, this was also really salty. But they enjoyed it. The cheese fries, were surprisingly not salty, but they could be if you added the bacon bits. Love there bread and the workers are usually up beat and approachable. They seem to really love working there. Love that on ones birthday they'll bring a saddle on a stool and have you sit on it if you like and the whole restaurant will sing Happy Birthday to you. But if you're shy they'll respect that. I'm rating Texas Roadhouse 5 stars because they got it right. What does that mean? It means they cooked our steaks to perfection, exactly how we like them and exactly what we expected. Let me explain. Often when one visits a steakhouse and asks for a steak to be medium or medium rare, it comes out far different. I like my steaks medium, yet I've been to restaurants where a medium will be brown all the way through, without any trace of pink in it. I've also encountered the opposite, where a medium is clearly medium rare...or even rare. Tonight on Christmas Eve, we didn't have any plans with family or friends and decided to go have a nice, sit down dinner. My son said he really wanted steak and picked Texas Roadhouse. Great choice! My wife isn't a big steak eater and ordered the "Herb Crusted Chicken," and my son and I both ordered a 12 ounce New York Strip. Mine was medium, and my son's was medium rare. Both came out exactly how they should be. We shared some of each other's steaks to compare, and I actually thought his medium rare was a bit more tender, but both were very tender and had amazing flavor. I grew up in a house where steak "had" to be cooked to at least medium well and preferably well, and I'm still not quite comfortable eating a whole steak that's medium rare. Someday I might get there, but it's a slow process. My wife and son both say, "Just get it that way if you like it," but something always tells me to order medium. Anyway, the steaks were great, and so was the rest of the meal. They have amazing warm rolls with the most flavorful cinnamon butter imaginable. I had to force myself to stop eating them and asking the waitress for more because I knew I wouldn't be hungry for my meal. My wife also got a salad with her meal, and it looked fresh and tasty. For sides, my son and I got corn and chili. We also go an appetizer of grilled shrimp, which was really good, thought the shrimp were a little small. BIG MISTAKE! one that I will never make again. Sadly my order was not complete missing a salad and the extra rolls I had requested. When bringing this to the attention of the employee he was questioning how it could not be in there but the other employee said that they would have a fresh one made. So after 10 minutes go by and still no salad so I ask, can I at least have some extra rolls because mine are going to be ice cold by now right along with my food and he proceeds to tell me No and he's going to have to change extra any other rolls ever though inside you can have as many as you like. So I go inside and am told the same thing from the employee manager that it's a extra charge for rolls even though they screwed up the order and everything is cold now. I get home & everything is ice cold except the salad that was warm. I know they are not the most expensive restaurant but there is no reason for rude attitudes or bad service. We ordered blueberry peach cider beer, shush kabob, and country fried chicken. I had request my steak kabobs medium. We got our sides of chili and salad, I attached photos below. I didn't post our meal because I forgot. I was "hangry" at this point. My fiancé got his country fried chicken with the white gravy sauce and I got my Shish kabobs. i've been to Texas Roadhouse thousands of times. It's my absolute favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing, the service is always great and friendly. And the food never disappoints. But, (this is about to sound ridiculous) I always go for their Kraft Mac and Cheese. Literally every time I go, I order it. It's one of the least greasy things on their menu so I know it will never upset my stomach (plus I almost always fill up on the rolls, so I never want a full size adult meal). Sadly, I went today and the staff told me they changed the mac and cheese to a homemade-type. I tried it, and it wasn't bad, but if I wanted homemade mac and cheese, I'd make some at home. Also, it's an item on the kid's menu and I don't know what kid wants watery/flavorless "homemade" mac and cheese. Kids want the cheesy boxed stuff. I hate when businesses that are doing amazing, change up their menu. This place was like a second home to me and now I don't know if I'll be going back. (also i'm sorry about the 1 star - this location is always so amazing (the waiter even offered to take the mac and cheese off the check - we paid for it anyway) but i'm very passionate about their mac and cheese and need Texas Roadhouse to see this. lol) making me cry TXRH :'( read more
