We love this restaurant and we love coming to this location. BUT you guys need to do something about the sewer smell in the restroom. It's very very disgusting! Plus the restrooms need more attention when checking them.

Dennys took over Cocos years ago, and this past week was my first visit in since. I was craving sandwiches and it was one of the few places open during the holidays. Ordered the new chicken sandwich and pot roast melt with seasoned fries. It was salt overload. The new strawberry sparkler with strawberry puree on the bottom was delicious. Highly recommend that drink. Service was wonderful with so much attention to detail. The establishment was clean and a great spot to host meetings. Denny's has their own parking lot, and if you're looking to host events, they're likely to be able to accomodate larger parties too.

Came here to get breakfast with my family, the food wasn't that bad, service was good, but we got our food in paper plates. They skimped out on the bacon and sausage. I noticed it seemed quieter than usual, couldn't figure out why until the plates showed up.

I like Denny's. It's not the coolest place to eat in the neighborhood (hipster hood), but this location rocks! The service is great and the restaurant has a nice vibe for a "Denny's" that I cannot explain. The waitstaff are so friendly and patrons here are equally engaging; probably long time locals in area: the same hot rods and classic cars are always parked in the parking lot. Very cool. The food is consistent and served in a timely manner. Breakfast items are my go-to choice on the menu, but I recently tried their burgers and was pleasantly surprised - it's good! Denny's is not my favorite place in town, but I love it here for reasons that once again, I can't explain!

Came here for a late night eat because I had been at an all day music festival nearby and I was starving and tired. When we arrived it was not bad in terms of amount of tables filled about 4 but soon they started to leave but as soon as they left a ton of quinceañeras and graduation folks started to arrive and despite the place filling up we had pretty good service! I wish my steak had a little more darkness on it and that it was a little easier to chew lol but overall it's a good place or spot and didn't have any major issues

Salmon dinner with mashed potatoes & Mac & Cheese. Both sides were cold.

I've had breakfast here. This was my first time getting dinner. It was really rough. First of all, it was freezing cold in the restaurant. I ordered the Salmon dinner. I can only eat soft foods right now so I got the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese (70 cents extra). The salmon was alright. Nothing special. Both sides were cold. The mashed potatoes tasted like beans. Not good at all. Won't be having dinner here again.

Great staff and service. This is a nicer location and has a large parking lot. The food comes out piping hot. I do like the bar top style tables as they give Denny's a modern new style.

    Tiny waffle

I order a waffle ala carte and got this little thing instead. I tried to eat it and it stiff. How old was this waffle? Why give me kids size meals?

Value slam $6.99 eggs, sausage and 2 pancakes
    Claire A.

Had a craving for pancakes and stopped by the Denny's just a stone's throw away from chez moi in Hipster Highland Park. Lots of families and Latino diner folk there. I got the "value slam" of 2 eggs, sausage links and 2 pancakes. The pancakes were amazing! I had low expectations for the pancakes at Denny's, but they were light and fluffy and had the right amount of "chew", and flavorful. The only thing is the syrup isn't great. Would it be acceptable to bring your own syrup there? The eggs were scrambled a little too hard, but they were fine, and the sausage was ok. But the pancakes. I have to go back. And the "value slam" is a great deal, especially if you don't have a huge appetite and can't keep down more than 2 big pancakes. Our server checked in with us frequently and brought me extra butter in a flash.

PLACE IS DEAD! No servers willing to work!

Came in at 0650, no customers, the place is dead, and it's 0710, nobody has even bothered to take my order! WTH!

Service sucks. Dirty tables all over, no pick up by staff. Staff spends time gossiping and laughing. Will never come back to this location!

A few TVs over the bar to watch a game. The menu is a yummy selection of Korean inspired bar food. Can definitely recommend the wings, bulgogi burgers, and wagyu bone marrow corn cheese. The cocktails are tasty. Loved the Meet Me in Pearis cocktail. They also have a good, but limited, happy hour (5-8 Wed & Thurs, Sun all day) only served at the bar. The kimchi cheese fries are a great shareable or a good side for a low-key fatty like me. Only complaint is portions are a bit small. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street meter parking or a pay lot behind the building.

"Yicha" more like "Yi-naw."…read more I really wanted to like this place, but the experience just didn't justify the hype or the prices. The food looked like it was trying very hard to be trendy and "experimental," but underneath all of that, most of the dishes were surprisingly bland. Not bold, not nuanced, just lacking flavor altogether. For a restaurant positioning itself as elevated Korean-inspired food, the actual taste felt forgettable. The portions also felt wildly overpriced for what you get. Small plates are one thing when the flavor delivers, but paying premium prices for tiny servings that don't leave an impression is another. It honestly felt more like paying for branding and neon lighting than for quality food. And the biggest red flag? The restaurant was nearly empty at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night. In Highland Park where good spots are packed on weekends, that tells you a lot. Atmosphere and cocktails can only carry a restaurant so far if the food itself isn't giving people a reason to come back. I already know the response will probably mention "modern interpretations," or "playful experimentation," but none of those things excuse bland food and poor value. Reinventing a cuisine is fine but .... it still has to taste good.

LATE REVIEW…read more Finding little neighborhood gems when it comes to food has always been an exciting experience for me. Having family alongside makes the journey more special. We chose Holy Saints to announce our baby's gender with our parents and we had an amazing time during our intimate dinner here. The restaurant's ambiance was the perfect combination of homey and inviting. It is a smaller place and the number of tables are limited so I highly suggest making a reservation when dining here. During our dinner, it was a bit difficult to have a full blown conversation as the place was packed with guests when we came plus the loud background music that was playing the whole night. Service and food were nothing but amazing! Their menu is very limited. Maybe not everyone will appreciate that, but I think it is more intentional on what is being served to the table. Our highlight of the night was the Grandpa's Pan Roasted Duck Magret Au Poivre for sure. It was so tender on the inside and crispy on the outer edges! We never had a meal like that elsewhere and we will for sure be back just because of it.

Got together with friends for an overdue dinner at Holy Saints on a Saturday evening. Made a…read morereservation for 7:15 and got seated quickly (didn't have to wait for the other couple). I ordered the bread plate and the BBQ butter was unique and really good. Friends ordered the griddle cakes and potato appetizers, both very good and decent portion sizes. For dinner my husband got the lamb (because they were out of the catch of the day which he was looking forward to), I got the pasta without prosciutto, friends got the shrimp and grits (head on shrimp hard to manage when they are covered in sauce but it was very tasty) and he got the same pasta dish as me with the prosciutto. We all agreed the food overall was better than good. The service felt strange. We were greeted with a friendly smile but once we started ordering dinner and made a joke about wanting to make a substitution (which we knew ahead they don't do) it felt like things changed. Maybe it was earlier when one of us asked if they could close the front door because it was drafty and cold (no they can't close the front door). Can't quite put a finger on it. Our reservation was at 7:15. By 8:30 the place was empty except for us. We were finishing up but weren't done. We weren't offered a dessert menu but instead they started putting up the chairs and by 8:45 they turned some of the lights off. They close at 9 but it was obvious they all wanted to get things closed up so we got our check and left. Overall, $250 for 4 people produced a tasty meal for each of us but in Pasadena where we have a LOT of choices we probably won't be back. Especially when a place states "no substitutions" and they also won't accept any requests for meat to be cooked to a certain temp. To me that seems to indicate the kitchen staff is either handcuffed, or they are unable to act on the fly if someone needs to make a change or wants their meet cooked medium well. I want to 100% enjoy my meal and experience when I go out and spend good money and Holy Saints wasn't that for me.
