I've been to Highly Likely a few times now, and it's quickly become a favorite brunch spot in the area. I've only had their breakfast food and drinks, so I can't speak to anything else. On my last visit, I sat at the bar with my husband. He ordered the breakfast sandwich, and I had the Mediterranean eggs. We both wolfed down our food, but the sandwich was way too small. It looked like it was on a grocery store hamburger bun. As my husband is 6'4", he shared the rest of my meal with me. The Mediterranean eggs were so delicious. The spicy labneh is the bomb. Also loved the little salad with pickled onions. Service wasn't bad. They were definitely packed and we waited about 10 minutes before finding seating. It was also really warm in there because it's open to the outdoors in the back. I've not been in the summer yet, but I hope they do something to cool the place when it's over 80 degrees. Wait staff were generally friendly and helpful. it was a nice time overall. They just need a bit more with the sandwich, like maybe a side salad or different bread. But I always enjoy coming because it's so lively and the food and drinks are yummy. :) read more

I'm so disappointed in this restaurant it used to be my family's favorite spot for drinks! I'm not sure what happened, but service now is absolutely awful. I been here 3x this month alone & I've sat at the bar on all three occasions. 1st. We were recommended french fries with our espresso martinis which hello why say no but I kid you not our food was sitting on the counter (where the food comes out) for more than 15 minutes before our server at the bar gave it to us. I had to ask them (they were talking to 3 different servers the entire time) to grab them for us lol thankfully, it was just french fries. And mind you, the fries were the only thing out so obviously they were ours. It was not busy. 2nd time I went it took extremely long for someone to come and take our order mind you there was like two people at the bar, including myself and a friend and about 3 to 4 servers behind the bar, talking to a customer and their dog, touching the dog petting the dog (gross) and overall distracted we called them over like 3 times and I swear we were being ignored! Took them over 10mins just to get us water not even counting the drinks we asked for! 3rd time I went, I know you're probably thinking why do you keep going back if their service is so bad but I'm not kidding when I said I used to love this spot. Any who I ordered food and saw with my own two eyes the food runner, wipe her sweat fix her hair and touch the food not wash her hands and not run a single thing...It was as though she was just hired to stare at the food... lol we sent it back and asked them to remove it from our bill which they did. Each and every time I go these days the service staff look like they can't be bothered and are always talking amongst themselves, which is fine but at least take my order and not make me wait 20+ minutes for some water and drinks while you're getting your chat on with people you see every day... I feel so bad saying this, but they should definitely reevaluate their protocols because the ambience this whole thing gave off was not good. The gist - The food wasn't as expected. The presentation was great, but the flavors were off on everything. The arugula artichoke dip had way too much lemon and the steak marinade was similar to funky teriyaki. The poivre sauce was good though. If you're going with a group and want to choose the best three menu items, it's going to be the Crispy Hippie Burrito, Chilaquiles, and the Kyoto Bowl. These are phenomenal for texture lovers. Such a great experience at this new brunch spot my friend recommended. They have another location she's tried, but it was both our first times at this new location. Loved the location and set up of the restaurant, first of all. So open and airy and light. Love the bamboo/light wood aesthetic and the fact that so much natural light gets in. We came around brunch time on a sat and didn't wait too long for 3 people (maybe 15 min). The staff was super friendly, from the hostesses to the waitress (the one thing is that it did take a while to get our checks, but I'm sure she was just giving us our space because we were sipping and yapping, so totally forgivable). Drink wise, the Emerald City was such a sleeper hit. It's their take on an espresso martini with matcha, and I wasn't disappointed. I tried their Chaggaccino, which has the mushrooms, and it was surprisingly not bad and got me awake. Food wise, the open face Tuna Sandwich was amazing. There's turmeric in it and it was a bit spicy, but I really enjoyed it. I also got the Bodega, which was the egg Sando, was ok, but I've had better. Was a bit messy but still yummy, just not the best egg sandwich I've ever had. The Kyoto Bowl was something that stood out on the menu, but not what I expected, in a good way. I thought it would be more of a rice or grains bowl, but it was actually more soupy than expected! It is similar to an Asian style gumbo to me, and I actually really enjoyed it. If you're with a group, I'd suggest getting a few things and sharing family style. Definitely would come back, if only for the Tuna Melt, Emerald City, and Kyoto Bowl. I had been wanting to check this place out for a while and finally got to go for lunch. It was around 1:30 last Tuesday. I don't know if it was due to being around the holidays, but the line went out the door. By the time we got inside there was actually enough seating. The line was all just to order at the counter. That aspect could definitely be organized more efficiently by posting the menu for those waiting in line to decide ahead. As it was, there was just a stack of menus in front of the cashier so most people spent time deciding once they got to the counter. As for the food, I was pretty hyped by all the pictures I'd seen. I ended up getting the Kyoto Bowl which was delicious and a unique combination of ingredients. The flavor was great and I especially liked the crunchy toppings. It was also way smaller than I was expecting based on photos. It was like a bowl of soup for one, not really for sharing. My friend got the Open Face Tuna Melt. The flavors were good but the texture was a bit unusual, almost eggy. I also got a Maple Leaf latte, which tasted nice but was small. I left with mixed feelings. I've been here twice - one on a weekday around 12 and once on a weekend (Saturday at 11am). If you're going to go on a weekend, especially if you're getting there closer to 12 or 1pm - I'd recommend getting a reservation. This most recent trip we (party of 4 adults and 2 toddlers) arrived around 11am on a Saturday. There were 4 parties ages of us putting their names down. I would say the process of getting seating without a reservation was clunky - they were unclear what tables were actually available and they were not great communicators (in person or text) regarding when the tables would become available. Many of the parties had to go up and remind them several times that they were waiting and okay with first available (not just outdoor seating). They told us they were clearing off a table and it took them over 30 minutes to seat us. Anyways now to our food. Fish sandwich - every component was well executed from the bread to the fried fish. It came together really well. This was a relatively small sandwich and the side it came with was a small serving of pickled vegetables. Breakfast burritos - the breakfast burrito with sausage was delicious and the hot sauce had just the right amount of kick. Pancakes - fluffy with a simple yet delightful lemon layer on top Solid matcha latte - nothing too notable Overall, food was good and price was reasonable (less than $20 for entrees). Our wait time was over an hour, which was already a disappointment. Fortunately, we found two seats at the bar and started enjoying our drinks while waiting for our friends. My friends mentioned the drinks were extremely delightful. We eventually moved outside when we were assigned a table, and the outdoor area was just as packed. What makes this place really fun is the separate outdoor bar where you can either sit or grab your drinks to enjoy. The service was pleasant, the food came on time, and the portions were reasonable. I do find it amusing how much simple coffee prices have gone up at restaurants and cafes lately, making a latte nearly a 9 to 10 dollar experience with tax and tip. Perhaps going solo or in a group of 2 is better here during the weekday (or they can send a notice on their socials that the patio is closed for a private event). We were a group of 4 so took us longer to find a spot together. Onto the food. I got the mushroom whipped tahini toast and the egg Sando (added avocado for $3) and a chai latte. The toast was topped with lots of mushrooms which I loved, didn't really get much of the whipped tahini. The sando had a fluffy egg but the chipotle mayo was a little mute - would probably skip next time. I tried some others coworkers salads and was a big fan. The know their salads here! The most standout dish I would order again was the fish fry. Breading was light yet crispy with flakey moist fish underneath. It was pretty bustling on a Saturday morning so I expected a wait, but I was still seated immediately. The stuff isn't cheap for sure but I think it's worth it for a once in a while splurge. I LOVE breakfast food and this place was everything I was craving. I got this silly egg and cheese thing on a bun and it was like McDonalds on crack. Then I thought I should be more of an adult so I also tried the Mediterranean eggs and the broccoli chickpea salad and both were so great. Such unique flavors and indulgent ingredients. Loved the fried pita, though there could have been a lot more hummus. We got their weekend special, the black sesame waffles with the chicken and waffles upgrade. Glad we YELPED! This place was awesome, great energy with a happy vibe on Saturday. Well rounded menu with different influences of flavors on one plate. If I were to guess, it's probably a good mix between Japanese, Mediterranean, Indian, Mexican to name a few. The Chilaquiles were perfect, just the right amount of sauce to Tortilla ratio- keeping the chips on the crispy side. Fish and chips & chicken strips were coated with panko, similar to tempura. The Kale salad had a curry flavor to it, and the pancake was similar to a pound cake with lemon frosting - so if you're looking for traditional pancakes, although very tasty- these are not it. Caesar salad was a total winner and surprisingly the chicken was so good! Sometimes adding grilled chicken to a salad can be boring but it was actually SO good. Service was OK. Loved the ambiance, but there were flies and little gnats constantly around our table. They leave the front doors open so that's probably why, but a little unpleasant regardless. Cute brunch/lunch spot! Their menu has lots of tempting options. I had the falafel plate (comes with falafel, sauces, pita, and side salad) and the vegan caesar salad. Everything was great! Light, fresh, flavorful. For bevys, I had the Madagascar vanilla latte with the coconut cold foam (AMAZING!!) and the Yunnan black iced tea. The space is super cute and modern. You order at the counter and are given a number, then you find your table. I'm not sure if it's normally hard to find a table but the entire patio was booked out for a private event so it took us awhile to find something. There are indoor tables and bar seating but all was occupied for a good amount of time. Parking is all street parking (1-2 hour meters and neighborhood parking) so it can be a little difficult depending on when you're stopping in. read more

Came here on Memorial Day around 7pm and left feeling pretty mixed about the experience. The space itself is nice, especially the back patio area, but the overall service felt oddly disorganized considering the restaurant wasn't very crowded. We sat outside and it was pretty chilly. We asked three separate times if the heaters could be turned on, and nobody followed up until much, much later into the meal. During that wait, our waitress was mostly just standing around nearby, which made the lack of follow-through a little frustrating. She would check in with us every now and then, but would totally skip over the heater inquiry, funnily enough. Food-wise, there were some inconsistencies too. One in my party tried ordering the Steak Frites au Poivre, only to find out they were out of steak entirely that night after the waitress had to double-check. We also ordered two KISS salads, and one came without the croutons listed on the menu. When we asked about it, the waitress said something along the lines of, "it doesn't, but you'd think it would, right?" before bringing some out afterward. Not a huge issue, just another strange moment... The fish and chips was okay, but I've definitely had better elsewhere, especially at this price point. There was also an incident where a busboy dropped and shattered a bunch of glass near our table. Accidents happen, of course, but the overall energy afterward just felt a little uncomfortable. I suppose I can sum it up and say this meal was a distracting experience. It was hard to focus on my party when these things were happening and taking away from a nice dinner. None of the staff were outright rude, and the food itself was decent overall, but the service and attention to detail just didn't really match the pricing or expectations. Lol Yes, we can all agree that the aesthetic is on point and the ambience is charming. The patio is also great! But the customer service...? Eh. We didn't realize a restaurant w/ such a high price point was an order at the counter/find a seat situation, and the person in front was just staring at us blankly, which was a bit annoying. We get it! Jeeze sorry lol I ordered the kale salad + added chicken ($23!!!) and my friend ordered a burger lettuce wrap + side salad. If I would've known that the squash was seasoned with what it seemed to be cinnamon I wouldn't have ordered it. There was barely any dressing as well. I could legit make this at home. It was nothing special but I ate it bc I would never waste food. My friend's burger was smaller than the 6 ounces that they had advertised, and I couldn't help but laugh when she requested ketchup and they brought her a halfway full ramekin. I also got an Arnold Palmer, which was abysmally mixed!!!! Would I go here again? Highly Likely No. My husband works on this block too and now I know why he has never had a business meeting or lunch there! I honestly do not know who is keeping this establishment afloat. Went here last week with a friend for lunch. We sat in a quiet corner in the outdoor patio in the back. I ordered the BTLA with a side salad and iced vanilla latte and she ordered a cheese burger and an iced cafe de olla. The food and drinks came out quickly which was nice. The cheeseburger was okay, definitely better and cheaper options nearby. The BTLA hit the spot, also enjoyed the focaccia bread. So let me start by saying the place is super cute. They have a bar top, outdoor area and indoor dining. Let me begin with breakfast. Possibly my favorite meal here. The chilaquiles are fantastic. In a green sauce that has just the perfect amount of spice. The breakfast burrito also delicious. The Mediterranean eggs are so so yummy. I'm getting hungry just writing this. As for dinner. I love the pasta bolognese but I will note that it needs a bit more sauce. The sauce is fantastic and for a hearty dish like this it needed more. My hubby loves the burger. I will also add the cocktails are lovely. Very refreshing. Parking can sometimes be a bit tricky but if you pack some patience you'll be just fine. Very much worth it. Great spot.
