This Denny's should be called Javier's. I came Into this location at about 4 in the morning to do some legal paperwork. The restaurant was playing a very nice 50s music playlist which I enjoyed. Maybe an hour into my breakfast and work, another worker walked into the restaurant. All of the employees who were already at work welcomed him with high praise. I thought that was very friendly and nice and shortly after I realized why everyone was so happy to see this man. He started singing to all the 50s songs. He was checking on anyone and everyone. By the end of my visit I was in desperate need of a printer but all of the printing services locations were closed being that it was 7 in the morning. Javier told me that he could print something if I needed it and within a few minutes I had everything I needed and then some. Great meal. Great music. Great service. This place is trash, they're the most disrespectful group of employees. There were barely any customers in here and the workers were talking to each other as I waited 5 minutes to be seen. Showed up here at 10:40 PM to an empty restaurant and the guy (possibly the manager) told me it was closed, and they weren't making any food for anymore customers. He didn't even approach me, he just stayed in the back area of the restaurant and had all 3 customers in there looking at me as he yelled across the restaurant at me. I'll mention, the employees outnumbered the customers. This was a place I went to several other times, and I even called ahead of time. I couldn't even order anything to go, there was also no reason for the supervisor to be here because he clearly has no job to do. His job can be replaced with a "closed" sign in the front while he talks to his employees and makes stupid jokes while on the clock. I didn't care if the place was filthy or not, they didn't serve me. I wanted to order something to go, knowing the place would close in 20 minutes. I wanted to complain about how much the food sucks (with a 3 star update review), but I couldn't even do that because the manager was busy jacking off with his buddies in the damn restaurant to do his job. I can't think of actual customers who would enjoy being turned away when you showed up here knowing it was open (I called at 10:25 PM and drove here) and the lame workers told you it was closed. They made sure to ask quite often if I needed anything and made sure to replenish my water frequently. I felt they took sanitation procedures very seriously regarding covid. I would say that Carl's juniors chocolate shake ranks highly for fast food, while mc Donald's and Burger King are on the more low quality. Even if that after party after the party is at Denny's because all the talk about religion, Yelp events, phony friends, alcohol, Disneyland during our car ride back from the after party left us hungry and at midnight this is about the only place you can go to close to home so here we were... This diner looks awesome. It looks nothing like the normal Denny's establishments. It's super clean inside. The staff is attentive and awesome but the food is just blah late night Denny's food even though they've revamped the menu to look like you're going to get 5 star food. It's all very convincing but it's really just a farce. I got coffee and then I was just wired and on a caffeine high. Our conversation then led to iPads, iPhones, what I think about world, the best way to reheat pancakes, and other important life details. As for the food - I couldn't decide between breakfast or dinner. I went with breakfast. I love breakfast. It's my all time favorite. Except Denny's just isn't great breakfast. Side of tortillas, order the flour, the corn are usually too soft and get cold and hard. Ask for salsa on the side, instead of the hot sauce. If you are eating healthy, this is a good option. The pot roast we had was bland despite its appetizing appearance. Portion sizes in the breakfast items are a lot smaller and less than other Denny's: less fries.
