My French Toast Slam, with Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, and link sausage.
    Richard D.

Breakfast on a Saturday morning. Wait time for seating less than 10 minutes. Like most restaurants today, it's under staffed and so wait times are a little longer, but not excessively so. Our server (Natasha) was serving lots of tables and cashiering, but her service was still excellent. Dennys was refurbished a year or so ago and the interior is very modern, minimalist, and super clean, complete with a Kapolei neon sign, how cool is that. What makes Dennys special is the ability to build your own breakfast, cuz the bfast menu is extensive. I got the French Toast Slam ($17.99) that comes with three slices of Hawaiian Sweet Bread French Toast, two scrambled eggs, two link sausage and two bacon. It was very good. Wife got the Cinnamon Pancakes ($16.39) with Eggs Over Easy, bacon and seasonal fruit ($1.39). All was ver satisfying. Highly recommend Dennys for their breakfast.

Went here yesterday to take advantage of a birthday deal. Initially it started a little off as they had a sign on the door that said they only had scrambled eggs; limited menu. But I saw that there were still a lot of people inside. I asked several people who just ate there what's happening and they mentioned that they only had one cook and that they ran out of fresh eggs, but only had powdered eggs (similar to the eggs that are served at small hotel breakfast buffets), which I didn't mind so we went in anyway. All in all, we still had a great breakfast. Service was great. The staff were very attentive and very upbeat. The food was still good. We both ordered their Everyday Value Slam (mine was birthday free) which included a choice of pancakes or French toast, a choice of meat, & scrambled eggs. Also got a side of crispy hash browns that we shared, plus coffee. Aside from the eggs issue (which were still good with ketchup), the bacon and sausages were good and surprisingly the pancakes (fluffy & moist) and the French toast were great. I would definitely come back here again.

My favorite Denny's on the entire earth! As you notice from all the photos uploaded, we go to this particular Denny's for breakfast quite a bit. Service is always nice, my favorite berry vanilla crepe is always on point and so far has been available each time, keeping my fingers crossed xx. Mister likes the steak breakfast, must be good because it's his favorite breakfast dish to order, he has tried other dishes (eggs bene, omelette), but wasn't as pleased as with the steak. If you go on the weekends, and want to beat the early crowd, go early. Plenty of near by parking.

From the time we walked in the staff was super friendly Kalani sat us and zen eye was our server. She rocked. Food came out fast and Annette kept my coffee and water coming. Kapolei staff gets a 10/10 from me and my fam.

One thing about Dennys you know what to expect. After an appointment decided to fed my hungry husband breakfast. Wait staff was quick to seat us and take our order. We ordered breakfast, it was delivered to us quickly and hot. Staff were friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The interior was the usual Dennys seating.

Okay Kapolei Denny's, here's the real scoop - my fam and I popped in to check out your freshly renovated digs (which look great, by the way - super clean and welcoming). We were greeted and seated right away and our potential server Karma was amazing - super sweet and doing her best to hold it down during what was clearly a rough night. So the good: place is shiny clean , we got our water and Karma is a gem . Now for the "wait, what?" part. We got there with no line and thought, yes, perfect timing! But once seated... crickets. No notice of delays, no orders taken, just us and our water. Fifteen minutes later we're still sipping water and wondering if we're invisible. We actually had to call Karma over just to ask if we could order..... and that's when we were told the kitchen was so backed up, they couldn't take orders yet. Meanwhile, two managers - one very noticeable in a bright orange shirt - were literally standing around chatting, while their team struggled and the kitchen fell behind. Leadership 101: when your crew is buried, you roll up your sleeves and jump in. You don't stand around seeing how long you can hold off seating people or delay orders. That's just not it, Denny's! Sadly, we gave up and left before even ordering any food. So we got water... and that's about it. Stars for Karma's attitude and the sparkling remodel. But please, Denny's Kapolei management - be the leaders your hardworking crew needs. We'd love to come back and actually eat next time! Do better for your staff and your customers will stick around.

It's been a minute since we last came to Dennys so it was very refreshing to see the new changes in the menu and renovations. The restaurant was super busy and service was a bit slow. It's totally understandable because it was Mother's Day and they did their best to take care of all parties with grace. Denny's -- America's Diner for good food at a good cost feeding families every where.

I don't know if it was just last night but the menu is very very limited. I wish I knew that before we sat down because the food they had listed was not great at all. The only good thing that we did have was Zesty Nachos. So heads up before you go there....limited menu!

The portions were good, the prices were decent, and it's the type of menu that works well for sharing with a group. Service was okay. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were efficient. Parking was good, and the overall vibe was chill, though it did get a bit noisy. The biggest issue was the condition of the restaurant. The place felt pretty run down. The floors were very dirty, the seats were torn and patched with electrical tape, and the windows were so dirty that we actually thought the restaurant had shut down one day when we were walking by. The bathrooms were also pretty gross, even for a casual bar/restaurant. I wanted to like it more because the food itself was good, but the cleanliness and upkeep really took away from the experience. They definitely need to do a better job maintaining the place. I'd probably only return if I heard they had cleaned up and refreshed the entire restaurant.

I originally wanted to dine in somewhere, but there wasn't really anything open nearby that could serve me. So, I decided to order takeout from The Cheesecake Factory. They were closing in just 19 minutes, and I wanted to celebrate tonight, so I ended up ordering quite a bit. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I asked for recommendations, and Faith gave me several great suggestions. I was hoping to get the Fried Mac & Cheese Bites, but they weren't available tonight. A lot of the items I chose were actually inspired by photos I saw on Yelp, and now I'm even more excited to dig into everything. One thing that really stood out to me was that Faith even offered curbside pickup. I loved that it was an option and appreciated that she proactively mentioned it. It's little touches like that that make the experience feel thoughtful and guest-focused. I'll be sure to update everyone on the flavors in a future review. For now, this review is solely about the ordering experience and how delightful Faith was. Kudos to The Cheesecake Factory and the team, you got it right when training Faith. We were quoted a 1 hour wait then kept getting pushed to a later time with a lot of empty promises of our table about to be ready. We had kids in our party who were starving and had they told us the wait would be the actual 2 hours that it took to seat us we would have went someplace else. I've worked many years in the industry, what was unforgivable was the fact the manager that night decided to argue with us about expressing our frustrations vs taking accountability for what happened. He mentioned there were a few big parties ahead of us, which we found out later that they didn't show. Looking around the restaurant there were a lot of empty tables in open sections that sat with dirty dishes and cups. The table that we ended up sitting on was let dirty for over 20 minutes as it was one I passed a few times taking my kids to the bathroom. There was no urgency from anyone other than our server which came off as he was ready to go home. I assumed he was sat out of the manager panicking so we do not blame our server for seeming tired yet still attentive when near by. The lack of accountability and urgency from the hosts and manager will now be what I tell friends and family members about for this location, and my self and the rest of my party will never be eating or celebrating here again. The food was okay but having a manager argue with us prior to eating with zero urgency to have our orders taken made things taste a lot worse. I'm sure proper management and training would help this place however myself and my family will not be returning to waste our money, time, or patience here again being that from the host to the managers this is acceptable or behavior from Cheesecake Factory.

Shrimp fried rice- I was really excited to try this and I was really hoping that it would be excellent and it was OK. Since we were technically "working", that had to wait for another time. Our server, Erin, was so nice and apologetic, even tho it wasn't her fault. For obvious reasons it was fairly slow, for a normal Sunday lunch crowd. Since we were pressed for time, we ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers; the sausage bites and chicken. They were both tempura style battered, and served with sauce or mustard on the side. The sausage had a slight spice to it, which was nice, and it was served piping hot pot of the fryer. A fork would've been nice, but they were small enough to eat by hand, but be careful, because they're pretty tough to bite thru. The chicken bites were smaller and easier to handle, although they were a bit dry, so the ranch furikake dipping sauce helped. I would've liked more flavor coming through the overall seasoning of this dish. I was expecting salty, sweet and vinegary, but it missed the mark for me. As for the spicy garlic noodles, this was flavorful, and very rich/buttery. My friend and I split the egg, while the third person in our party opted against it because she didn't care for runny eggs. Perhaps it's a good thing the third person didn't partake in the egg, because as my friend and I were driving to our next destination, we had to make a pit stop to use the restroom, as it seems that something didn't quite sit well with either of our tummies. The 3rd person who didn't eat the egg was completely fine, so not sure if it was the egg or the richness of the dishes. Overall, I would eat here again, though I would try something else on the menu.
