Almost forgot I also got an egg roll to try because it had been so long since I had one from here. It's huge! Super crispy outside and a nice amount of filling. They give you hot mustard and what I thought was ketchup but honestly I'm not too sure. Either way, they were great mixed together to dip your egg roll into. My waitress was pleasant and attentive which I appreciate. My booth was a bit saggy so I'm going to have to go back again and try a new booth each time till I find the perfect one. The service... amazing and friendly. The restaurant... clean, full of locals. Other than the prices, things really haven't changed at all. I had the chorizo and eggs. Instead of rice I opted for their house potatoes. Everything was so good. My husband got the french toast. He had four generous slices that even he couldn't finish. I took a taste and they were very good. The coffee cup was never empty. The waitress checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. They even had Earl Grey tea which I was very excited about, and they provided an extra pot of hot water in case I wanted a second cup. Arthur's is still the local place to go for a great breakfast. Prices have gone up greatly (average about $18 per person, plus extra for coffee/tea) but it's still the same quality of service and food I remember. And, to which I will return when I'm back in town.

I think I like the area better. It's part of a much larger shopping area than the my normal spot, but it's well away from the freeway, which means you're getting less of that road weary crowd and more of the people who want to be there.
