Love this place. Always good food and kind service from the family that runs this place. Grab food togo or sit down in the small dining room and have a hot meal with a cold beer. Such a hidden gem!

Nicole made sure our drinks never sat empty for long and served up a delicious spread that I'd been long craving. I can't wait to go back to this deli! Service, quality and pricing were all fabulous.

Little deli and restaurant combo in a very busy shopping district in La Habra. The people who work there are very kind and have an excellent memory for faces. The menu is decent, I'd maybe wish for a few more options on sides but what they do offer is very tasty down the board. And some delicious proper German beers for a reasonable price. I recommend the currywurst in particular, but every sausage I've had there was tasty. All in all, highly recommend it and I will be going back.

Very nice place Wonderful service Pleasant staff The ambience is lovely with lots of German decor. I got the bratwurst plate with potato salad and sauerkraut. It was delicious and very filling. They have a special house mustard which is superb. We have been here before and will certainly come back. The only reason why they miss a star is because I wish they let you mix and match. For instance, I would love to have one bratwurst and one knackwurst on a plate with the sauerkraut and the potato salad. Prost!

The first time I came here, I dined in with my husband. We thought we should order at the counter, but the friendly lady told us to take a seat in the dining room and she would help us. She was super sweet and we really enjoyed having her as a waitress. I had a ham and cheese sandwich on a french roll, which comes with potato salad and a pickle. He had their currywurst with fried potatoes. We both loved our lunches! My sandwich was basic, but it was exactly what I was looking for, just a solid homemade sandwich. Their potato salad is pretty good, and the pickle was great. His currywurst was delish! The veal sausage they used had a super soft texture and the sauce was heavy on the curry, slightly spicy. I couldn't get enough of the perfectly fried potatoes, I kept sneaking pieces and dragging them through the yummy curry sauce. I returned a couple weeks later solo to pick up lunch to go. This time I went with a Stuffed Cabbage Roll with rye bread on the side. YUM! Only $10 for this super filling lunch, one huge cabbage roll stuffed to the brim with a delicious ground beef mixture, swimming in a big pool of light tomato sauce. Loved sopping up the sauce with my bread. I will definitely be back often to try more of their amazing German menu!

My husband wanted a deli sandwich and we were in the area, so we stopped by this cute little German deli. He said the corned beef Reuben was excellent! The kids and I also loved our food! So simple, so good! This deli has the best potato salad! I normally can't stand potato salad and won't eat it; Continental Deli makes a GREAT version of potato salad. Can't wait to come back soon! The owners are very welcoming! Small area for dine-in available.

The food was fantastic! The cheesecake was to die for!!!!!! Pastrami sandwich was delicious, pickle was super crunchy, and potato salad was such great flavor! The Ruben on rye was just the right amount of perfect. The server had a great personality and he was super kind! The lady behind the register was my favorite and she made me and my mother's whole day! What a great place for delicious food and great service with real personalities! And can't forget great beer on tap!

I found this place on Yelp and I loved it. I was craving deli style sandwiches and this place was a hit. My kids shared a wiener and potatoes and I got a ham with macaroni salad and hubby got the reuben. We also shopped in the store side of the restaurant and we got chips and peach streusel and apple streusel and cheesecake and I got extra pickles. It's cute and clean and family owned. I love that they have a store attached. I am telling everyone who will listen to me that they need to come check this place out.

Is Split Pea Soup on the menu?

Yes we do. Just that the soups always change

We will definitely come here to support a family owned German deli in La Habra!!! But, is there anything vegan I can have with a pretzel, kraut, and Heffe?

Maybe the vegetable soup or a modified version of the stuffed cabbage? The meat is what makes the Deli great though.

First off, I came in for two pastrami sandwiches which they promptly came out to me and said they didn't have any more pastrami. The lady was nice and said she would upgrade me to a different type of pastrami that actually cost more. Well whatever this crap was it didn't taste like pastrami at all. I got one soft bread and one crispy bread and the crispy bread could've chipped a tooth on a normal mouth so thank God I've got implants. Both sandwiches were painfully boring and I wish I had something good to say. I'm not sure what was put in my wife's sandwich either when she got explosive diarrhea less than 10 minutes after eating her sandwich? The cold cuts tasted off and I wanna say that they were rotten because I've been burping it all day. Something positive? I guess the store looked nice on the inside? Anyhow, without a doubt I will not be back because if Subway can make a better sandwich than you guys you're in trouble. And subway sucks by the way. .., meet Whittier's Uptown hero!…read more My experience here was from 6/26/26 & it did not disappoint. Though I've been to Uptown Provisions twice before to support my friend Andrew M, as well as my other friend Andrew P. with Satori Coffee Project, this was my actual visit where I finally ate! Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. Knowing what I already wanted from doing my menu homework the night prior, I was practically drooling on my way in. Greeted by a great staff & friendly fellow patrons, I felt right at home. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. Each component's flavor profile blended together nicely. I'm usually hit or miss with rye bread, but this rye hit the mark & held the ship together. The eggs were made with care & prepared in a way I've never tasted before, very delicious. Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. Thank you Uptown Provisions for a great experience, I shall return!

The Prime RIb Sandwich offered an okay amount of meat, but it was fatty and flavorful. The Mild BBQ sauce paired fairly well with the sandwich. Star of the meal is the steak fries. Today I took my sister to introduce her to the best steak sandwich around. She started eating before me and said it was not that good. I'm looking at her like she's crazy as I put mayo and mustard on my Sammy. I take the first bite and notice this is NOT the flavor that I had before. Added a little salt and pepper thinking that will help. NOPE! Each bite was tough and loaded with gristle or inedible fat or something that I couldn't separate with my teeth. I'm pulling pieces apart and having to eat around the tough meat. I took the sandwich up to the register and asked them if they changed the cut of meat they use. They said no, it's always been either rib eye or NY. Every single one of the many I'd had before were the same. This one was different. Even looked different, as if it had been run through a machine in an attempt to tenderize it. Didn't work! You could see through some parts kind of like the way a knitted scarf would look If you stretched it out and could see the holes in it. Anyway, the guy said, "You must have got a tough cut" or "bad cut". I can't remember exactly the wording. But then he just shrugged me off. No offer to fix the problem. I was hungry, I hadn't had breakfast, and it was obvious the guy didnt care, so I just went back to my table and ate the rest of the bread and fixings while gnawing off any edible meat from my horrible steak. $26 for a sandwich and fries. Not willing to spend that much and hope I get a good cut of meat. I'm done.

Upon walking into this establishment, i got this weird unfriendly vibe. Thats fine, let the food speak for itself. I ordered the eggplant ricotta w penne, chicken alfredo, and a beef dip to go. Pasta for both dishes are mushy and overcooked. The alfredo sauce was curdled and clumpy and needed salt. I did ask for extra sauce, but this wasnt the issue. Beef sandwich was dry, but hey thats what the dipping broth is for. Unfortunately the broth/au jus was SOUR. I thought it was spoiled and the taste almost made me vomit. Like imagine youre expecting beef broth flavor and instead you get some vinegary liquid taste. I called them and they said the chef JUST tasted it and said they added too much worchestershire sauce. Ok, ill give them the benefit of the doubt that their broth wasnt spoiled since i did taste the worchestershire. BUT why isnt the chef tasting as they cook to control their food quality? I paid for this nasty, sour broth i cant even finish bc it is so gross and taste fermented. Aside from the mushy pasta, the eggplant ricotta was ok. The marinara sauce they use is way too salty. Again, must be bc they dont taste what they cook. In total i spent around $50, and the food is disappointing enough that i wont be returning.
