Love this place. Always good food and kind service from the family that runs this place. Grab food togo or sit down in the small dining room and have a hot meal with a cold beer. Such a hidden gem!

Nicole made sure our drinks never sat empty for long and served up a delicious spread that I'd been long craving. I can't wait to go back to this deli! Service, quality and pricing were all fabulous.

Little deli and restaurant combo in a very busy shopping district in La Habra. The people who work there are very kind and have an excellent memory for faces. The menu is decent, I'd maybe wish for a few more options on sides but what they do offer is very tasty down the board. And some delicious proper German beers for a reasonable price. I recommend the currywurst in particular, but every sausage I've had there was tasty. All in all, highly recommend it and I will be going back.

Very nice place Wonderful service Pleasant staff The ambience is lovely with lots of German decor. I got the bratwurst plate with potato salad and sauerkraut. It was delicious and very filling. They have a special house mustard which is superb. We have been here before and will certainly come back. The only reason why they miss a star is because I wish they let you mix and match. For instance, I would love to have one bratwurst and one knackwurst on a plate with the sauerkraut and the potato salad. Prost!

The first time I came here, I dined in with my husband. We thought we should order at the counter, but the friendly lady told us to take a seat in the dining room and she would help us. She was super sweet and we really enjoyed having her as a waitress. I had a ham and cheese sandwich on a french roll, which comes with potato salad and a pickle. He had their currywurst with fried potatoes. We both loved our lunches! My sandwich was basic, but it was exactly what I was looking for, just a solid homemade sandwich. Their potato salad is pretty good, and the pickle was great. His currywurst was delish! The veal sausage they used had a super soft texture and the sauce was heavy on the curry, slightly spicy. I couldn't get enough of the perfectly fried potatoes, I kept sneaking pieces and dragging them through the yummy curry sauce. I returned a couple weeks later solo to pick up lunch to go. This time I went with a Stuffed Cabbage Roll with rye bread on the side. YUM! Only $10 for this super filling lunch, one huge cabbage roll stuffed to the brim with a delicious ground beef mixture, swimming in a big pool of light tomato sauce. Loved sopping up the sauce with my bread. I will definitely be back often to try more of their amazing German menu!

My husband wanted a deli sandwich and we were in the area, so we stopped by this cute little German deli. He said the corned beef Reuben was excellent! The kids and I also loved our food! So simple, so good! This deli has the best potato salad! I normally can't stand potato salad and won't eat it; Continental Deli makes a GREAT version of potato salad. Can't wait to come back soon! The owners are very welcoming! Small area for dine-in available.

The food was fantastic! The cheesecake was to die for!!!!!! Pastrami sandwich was delicious, pickle was super crunchy, and potato salad was such great flavor! The Ruben on rye was just the right amount of perfect. The server had a great personality and he was super kind! The lady behind the register was my favorite and she made me and my mother's whole day! What a great place for delicious food and great service with real personalities! And can't forget great beer on tap!

I found this place on Yelp and I loved it. I was craving deli style sandwiches and this place was a hit. My kids shared a wiener and potatoes and I got a ham with macaroni salad and hubby got the reuben. We also shopped in the store side of the restaurant and we got chips and peach streusel and apple streusel and cheesecake and I got extra pickles. It's cute and clean and family owned. I love that they have a store attached. I am telling everyone who will listen to me that they need to come check this place out.

Is Split Pea Soup on the menu?

Yes we do. Just that the soups always change

We will definitely come here to support a family owned German deli in La Habra!!! But, is there anything vegan I can have with a pretzel, kraut, and Heffe?

Maybe the vegetable soup or a modified version of the stuffed cabbage? The meat is what makes the Deli great though.

I'm not super familiar with German cuisine, but everything felt authentic and traditional. The fries that came along with it were so crispy and tasty. I also tried the breaded veal cutlet, which is a German specialty. Both dishes were very good and hearty. They also have a great beer selection on draft. I went with the Spaten Pilsner, which paired perfectly with the meal. I love that each of their beers is served in its own branded glass. I love currywurst, the iconic German street food consisting of a grilled or fried pork sausage sliced into bite-sized pieces and topped with a curry ketchup sauce, typically served with fries or a bread roll. Having eaten plenty of currywurst throughout Germany, I can confidently say this is one of the better versions I've had in the U.S. The fries are excellent - crispy on the outside without being dry. The sausage has that satisfying "snap" when you bite into it, although I wish it had a bit more herbal seasoning and a richer, more savory interior. It's also slightly drier than my ideal version, but that's a minor nitpick. Overall, it's comforting, well-executed, and an easy recommendation if you've never tried currywurst before. BBB Burger - 4/5. I was pleasantly surprised by this burger. The combination of bacon, a juicy beef patty, blue cheese, and crispy shallots is a winner. The bold flavors complement each other surprisingly well without any single ingredient overpowering the others. There's also a nice contrast in textures: the crunch of the shallots, the tenderness of the beef patty, the crisp bacon, and the soft yet sturdy brioche bun all come together beautifully. The bun deserves special mention for holding everything together without becoming soggy. Homemade Apple Strudel - 3.5/5. Kudos to Rasselbock for serving the strudel with vanilla ice cream instead of overly processed whipped cream--it makes for a much better pairing. The apple filling strikes a nice balance, offering enough sweetness without becoming cloying. The blend of tart apples, warm spices, and buttery pastry creates a more nuanced and satisfying dessert. My only complaint is that I'd prefer the pastry to be a little thicker and flakier to provide more texture and contrast with the filling. Rasselbock Schnitzel - 4/5. The schnitzel is nicely breaded and fried, with a crisp, golden crust. I do wish the meat were a bit juicier, but the flavorful cream sauce helps compensate and pairs very well with the schnitzel. It's a satisfying, well-prepared dish that I'd happily order again. Lastly, they offer a solid selection of German and German-style draft beers, making this a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic German comfort food with a good pint. Overall, Rasselbock delivers a satisfying dining experience and is well worth a visit if you're craving German cuisine.

Everyone who found this rude is making reasonable statements. But to me this is more a case of people who have been doing the same thing for a long time without making updates. The blue and white bunting, the beer steins, the picture of the Pope and other memorabilia make the place feel distinctly Bavarian, in a touristy way. It's not a far departure…read morefrom foods of other cultures around the locality, but you'll notice differences between British and American English, for example. Many of their dishes include chips, which during my visit, resembled steak fries due to their thickness. You'll also see that curry is a signature dish in the menu, which reflects how Anglo-Indian cuisine has maintained popular influence in the United Kingdom. I ordered Cutty Sark's curry with chicken, rice, and chips at medium spice. The name is derived from a British merchant vessel that operated during the late 1800s. The curry had a mix of savory and sweet flavors, which reminded me of both Japanese and Indian cuisines at the same time. I couldn't say with certainty that the curry fit into just one cuisine. Packed with some heat and bold in spice, it's a delightful and large dish if you desire a lot of flavor. Where the curry went a little off course was the addition of celery. The petiole is strongly flavored and distracts from the curry in my perhaps controversial opinion. Curry seems to better mix with potatoes and carrots. I tried some of the bacon sarnie as well. The word "sarnie" is an affectionate diminutive for "sandwich." American bacon usually comes from pork belly, which provides a flavorful yet oily crispiness. However, the British variant usually comes from the loin, which is meatier and leaner. I thought of the bacon here as similar to a savory ham. The sarnie bread is fried in fat to emphasize buttery flavor. The restaurant, filled with English decorations, has the style of a cozy and dim pub. There's a good amount of small wooden booths with cracked leather seating. Our server was really nice and made sure we got everything we needed despite the busyness of the restaurant. For example, my curry came with a chutney, and I had asked for a lid to take it home. While I forgot to take the chutney home, she went outside as she noticed that we took the back exit to look at their double-decker bus. She even offered to take a picture of us. The service deserves a lot of kudos, and we were grateful for her consideration.

However, after our experience last weekend, I don't know if I'll be returning any time soon. We went to celebrate Father's Day and my birthday and we're seated quickly. While the restaurant wasn't terribly crowded, the service was awful. The blonde waitress with the British accent was very rude and yelled at my son's (15, 18, and 21) which they later said made then feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The service was very slow and we only had one water refill, despite asking repeatedly, in almost 3 hours. They were also out of multiple items including scotch eggs, sausage rolls, steak and ale pies, and sticky coffee pudding (they only had two). We never received our scotch eggs and sausage rolls and it wasn't until I asked about them after the entrees came that I was told they had run out. And we were never told that the beef wellington, which we ordered in place of the steak and ale pies that they had run out of, was almost $20 more than the steak and ale pies. Then, the bill came and the scotch eggs and sausage rolls were still on the bill, which I failed to notice at the time, so we had to return and ask for a credit for those two items. This was the worst experience we've had at this restaurant. We've had the blonde waitress before and she can be abrupt but this time, she crossed the line into being downright rude and we all felt unwelcome as a result. And to receive the treatment and have this many issues while celebrating special family events was disappointing. I'm not sure if and when I'll be back after the poor treatment we received which is a shame because I do love their food.
