Worst experience on my birthday ! In a general experience All Denny's restaurants advertise a Free Grand slam breakfast which doesn't require pre registration to download rewards. The waiter and manager were almost obnoxious about my request and proof of a reward app and rudely gave me a " if you want a free meal that much " tone of voice and attitude. This happened at another Denny's 1 year ago about not serving 55 plus customers until 5 pm with the same attitude. I will NEVER step foot again to this restaurant and tell everyone to stay away from such obnoxious attitude to a customer. Customer service should be better even at a fast food place!! read more

My husband wanted breakfast with waffles tonight so we decided to try this Denny's out. This Denny's has been here Forever but I don't remember eating before. Surprisingly, the restaurant is very large in the inside and very clean. Food was good. My husband got his eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. The waffles were good. Well worth a trip here. I did the salmon dinner with broccoli, red potatoes, and dinner bread. The dinner bread was actually two pieces of garlic bread. They did a good job with this garlic bread. It had a nice perfect chew and you can tell it's not made from old bread. The salmon was a bit fishy but not too bad. Service was good. read more

Denny's pancakes & coffee = top of the line. Wow this place is crowded on a Thursday afternoon! Do people not work?? (as I also sit there in awe). Our server was good, fast and checked on us throughout the visit. I saw a sign on the window about mimosas WOO HOO! Thank you Denny's. So I knew there had to be some type of value bfast but didn't see on menu, so when I asked our server, sure enough there is but its not advertised! $7 for two pancakes, eggs and meat. Great deal . They didn't have the big plate that comes with free coffee anymore. Bummer since coffee is $4! Food came out quickly and was hot & fresh and good as always. They are also on the Lake Forest BOGO gift card program so that's a nice plus. The restaurant was busy but clean, bright, and the employees were very helpful. read more

In celebration of the World Series Grand Slam, Denny's is currently offering its existing Rewards Members a FREE Original Grand Slam coupon in their account!! It's been years since I've eaten at a Denny's so this was a great stop at an old familiar place!! My Original Grand Slam includes 2 pancakes, cheesy eggs, 4 bacon slices, and an extra order of seasoned red potatoes. I placed an online order and went to pick it up 20 minutes later. It was also a curbside order so I had to call and let them know I was there. The gentleman who picked up the phone (I didn't see his name tag unfortunately) was quick! As soon as we hung up, he came walking out of the door with bag in hand and smile on face! He handed me my order and kindly thanked me for stopping by!! Thank you!! Overall, I'd give the meal a 3.5/5. I really enjoyed the seasoned red potatoes mixed with the bacon and cheesy eggs and the taste of tomato ketchup added a nice tasty balance. I don't know why, but the pancakes, however, had a weird "plasticy" taste to them. I'm not sure if something was thrown in the pancake batter, but it just didn't taste right to me. I went to Denny's with my partner for a ridiculously late dinner, primarily because it was 1:30am and nowhere else was open. The food was average at best. My triple-stack burger definitely portrayed an Italian tower influence, as it was leaning heavily on arrival and looked about to fall over - which it promptly did. Knife and fork not optional here. My salt was perfectly seasoned with a dash of special fries, but I cleaned my plate as it was 1.30am and nowhere else was open. The server on shift was pretty overloaded, and so our meal was a bit slow in arriving. Drink refills weren't offered unprompted, and nobody checked back with us, but again... it was 1.30am... you know. If, due to my own poor planning, I need a meal badly enough at an entirely inappropriate time of day (like, for example, 1.30am) where nothing else is open, I'll go back. A horse for a course, but definitely an outsider in most of its outings. read more

The entrance is welcoming! The seating is the traditional diner ambiance. I was in search of a 24 hour diner to spend time with my new found friends after hanging out at an event at the local bowling alley. We found this Denny's. The service was quick at the beginning but that changed. Our server, George, asked us what we wanted to eat. We gave him our selections. I requested ranch on the side with my hamburger, but it was never brought to me. I even asked for the ranch more than one time. I also ordered onion rings, which were an extra charge. The onion rings were over cooked and I only had six on my plate next to my hamburger. One of my friend's meal was just as she ordered, but the other friend's meal was not. She returned the hamburger without bacon because it was supposed to be chicken. I know that chicken takes longer than beef to cook but 40 minutes longer!?!? My point is that our server was slow and often left our table shaking his head and bumping the wall upon our food request, which for me seemed nothing out of the ordinary. Our server's reaction was not normal when we requested our food and the sides. I always leave a hefty tip when the server is kind and delivers the food as ordered. So I went to Dennys to eat and I order a BLT and man was I disappointed first of I waited for ever got a to go order and to my surprise the person at the register was a General Manager he kept inputting my order for some reason over and over That was the 1ST red flag to start and then The 2 red flag was that I waited a long time and it was just a BLT and then 3 flag when I finally got my food the sandwich seem like it was just wrapped like they didn't care a huge lettuce with a strip of bacon on one side and the other side it was just a bit totally disappointed I would have made a better sandwich by going to the grocery store and it would of tasted better it just seems that this restaurant doesn't have the positive vibe and energy if you have a lot of time on your hands and want to hang around and eat done alright food this place might be for you but I won't be returning read more

I come to this Dennys 2-3 times a week on average. Sometimes more sometimes less. But I have a great experience every time. My personality is that of repetitiveness. Im a creature of habit. So when I enjoy a place, it's my new place. The team here is great, I do a bit of a custom order, they are all on board and never give me any problems. Really great Dennys. I used to be a regular at this place ever since I moved here. The food is okay and the ambiance is good, but I was very disappointed with the service during my recent visit. A server named Adrian was extremely disrespectful. He kept cutting me off while I was asking about their promo, and when my mom told him to listen first, he just said there was no such promo and walked away. We also weren't given water even though we asked for it, and we waited 40 minutes for nothing. I understand that it was busy and waiting is sometimes expected, but the table next to us, who had a bigger order, was served within about 20-25 minutes. When we tried to call Adrian again, he ignored us, so we asked another server for help. He asked Adrian to come over to our table, then he left. After Adrian finished taking the order of the table behind us, he walked right past us, so we had to call him again. He then gave us attitude and told us that we needed to understand they were busy-- no apology, no sign of our food, nothing. So we just paid for our drink and left. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience, especially since I used to enjoy coming here regularly. read more

Got a free breakfast reward from Denny's for my birthday and came in with family. Found out later they no longer accept any Denny's rewards at all. Crazy. This Denny's won't honor their own rewards. Its like receiving a Starbucks reward for free drink on your Birthday and Starbucks not accepting it. Unacceptable. The fact its a birthday reward too makes it worse. I took my wife for the seniors fish dinner where you get two sides they're only four customers in here and we waited 30 minutes and they got my wife's Side wrong and when they took it back, they just microwaved it to. Horrible service at this location. They do not honor birthday rewards which is quite ironic considering that Dennys claims to care about their customers. The fact that they would deny someone on their birthday is really messed up and made me not want to come back to such a location. iHOP has customer down way better than Denny's. I couldn't even enjoy the food because the workers refused to make me anything. Best Denny's we've been to. Our first two choices for dinner had 60 minutes+ waiting times, so wife suggested we go as a group to a nearby Dennys. It's a typical Denny's setup (wait a bit to get seated, table side service to order, get check but pay for it upfront). The four of us ordered: Build own burger ($14); 5-pepper burger ($14), slow-cooked meaty melt ($14), Crazy Spicy Sizzlin Skillet with 2 gets ($15). We got our food quickly, and our server was efficient (keeping our drinks full, making sure we had condiments, etc). The ingredients are the same at every Denny's, but the short-order cook in the back did a real nice job of preparing all the dishes (things were crisp, hot, and plentiful). Everybody enjoyed their meal, and there enough for left-overs. Perhaps not the first choice for a meal, but an excellent place for a late night dinner if in the area. - read more

So this experience and review comes today due to false advertising and bearing false witness. I received my birthday reward for the Value Slam meal, so I came here to take advantage of it. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the manager (Jeese Garcia). I told him I came to get my birthday meal and he said ok but we can't honor it. He went to explain that they no longer do that here anymore, the POS won't accept it and that it's nothing he can do. I informed him I have never had any issues or anyone ever telling me that in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina and Texas, as long as I been a customer of Denny's. I also told him I recently moved to the area. He went on to say that well since you moved here, let's go ahead and take it. He took my order and the POS system worked with my offer code w/ NO ISSUES. I asked him, "Why didn't we just try that in the first place?" This is his exact words, "THE COMPANY TOLD US TO TELL PEOPLE WE CAN NO LONGER DO THE OFFER FOR THE BIRTHDAY." So basically Jesse said that Denny's in this area or either corporate is telling the restaurants to lie/deceive customers of a program/offer/reward that they offer. Let's think about this, why would they offer something when they won't accept the offer (make that make sense)? So basically either Mr. Garcia lied today or the company as a whole is shady. I wanted to make sure this was shared in the event someone else runs into this issue when it shouldn't be an issue at all. Also tried to leave a complaint and apparently they have a firewall up or bo longer taking complaints requests. read more
