Love this Denny's to begin with! The staff is always so sweet, friendly, and attentive! But tonight I want to give an extra big shout out/thank you to our server Carmen!! My fiance and I wanted to have a cutesy and semi-intimate gender reveal, and we both love a Denny's milkshake so we decided where better to go! Carmen and her coworker (I'm sorry I didn't get her name as well) were truly so sweet and kind to do this for us!! It only made it finding out about our baby girl that much more special! Thank you, both of you, you beautiful ladies!! Of course we will back, and we can't wait to bring our baby girl too!! :)

The bill before they made the adjustment because of the crummy crêpes

Biggest problem I have with this place right now is they only have one waitress for this whole restaurant. 12 tables with people at them and one waitress? Does that make any sense? I ordered the crêpe breakfast with two crêpes, two eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage, along with a four dollar cup of coffee. For another dollar I could've gotten a Starbucks great tasting coffee, this coffee is terrible! It took longer to order than I would've liked, but there was only one waitress that I saw waiting on tables and taking order. After we ordered , they brought the food pretty promptly, but the coffee was lukewarm and we had to order more coffee that was actually hot.. They made another pot and brought it to us. The lip of my coffee mug also had a chip in it which is unacceptable also, nice place for germs to hide. I'm being very picky, because I'm never coming back here again. I tried a couple bites of the crêpes, they were thin as paper and just as tough, I might as well have been eating paper. The rest of the food was fine nothing spectacular. Of course it's Denny's. I did tell them that the crêpes were unacceptable and since they charge about nine dollars for two crêpes, I expected them to remove at least that from our check which they ended up doing, but I had to make a serious protest in order for that to happen. Everything was so terrible that I did not even leave a tip, but my main tip would be get a cook that can cook crêpes properly or just shut the whole place down. I don't recommend eating here. And I certainly won't ever again. It makes all Denny restaurants look bad.

Not sure why we went back to this Dennys. Dennys off La Canada is the worse. We were seated quickly but sat 8 minutes before the waitress came and asked about coffee and water. At $3.95 a cup you would think they would want to make some money. Our food took 15 minutes to get to us once ordered while people that came in long after us got theirs at the same time or before us with the same and different waiter. Our food was like warm, and we all know what happens when you complain about an order. The ambiance is a typical Dennys. At least the place was clean for a change. I am not going to recommend this Dennys to attend.

The pumpkin pancakes are really sweet but very tasty. Also, can't go strong with eggs and bacon. I would give 5 stars but their curbside pickup has a lot of issues. Excessive waiting, sometimes they don't even answer the phone. Other than that, classic Denny's!

    Poor service

Food is food. We understand that but service is beyond ridiculous. I came for a mobile order pick up and I tried reaching out to servers but all ignored me. I waited 15 minutes until someone finally grabbed my food. Ignorant staff it seems like. I get better service at McDonald's than this. Before you ask, no it's not busy.

He was just rude and I felt bad for his employers who busted their asses. I'd eat there again simply because the food was amazing! Instead, we witnessed a full-blown culinary performance. The place was quiet, but we immediately spotted a guy in the back with long hair who was straight-up making love to the food. Man was jumping all over the kitchen, single-handedly running the show, and still managed to hit us with the biggest, warmest smile. We literally couldn't stop watching him work. We ordered the Avocado Benedict and the Steak with Sunny-Side Up Eggs. We've been here before, but whatever magic he was putting into the food that night made it hit totally different. The steak came out a flawless medium-rare, and the eggs were executed with surgical precision: egg whites fully cooked, yolk warm and perfectly runny--exactly how I like it. Everything arrived in a mind-blowing 8 or 9 minutes.

Despite the crowds, there were a few seats available to sit and dine. Usually one must check in with the manager inside the diner, but this time the manager happened to be a few steps away and she said I could sit anywhere I wanted...YAY! I had my pup Fendi in tow and we sat down for a while to enjoy the usual cool music and be voyeurs. As with most diners, it would be better if all the selections on the menu is available to order 24/7. Many items are only available to order during particular times. It was a sunny hot San Diego day, which called for an icy mocktail, a Greek salad and small french fries. The yogurt dill sauce enhanced the taste of both the salad and fries... so good. Service from the manager and servers were cordial, attentive and friendly. A bowl of water was offered for my baby and I always appreciate that extra effort. Because of a much improved overall experience and positive vibes, it merits this review and recommend.

We were seated immediately when we arrived, but by the time we left there was a small wait, which tells me this is a popular spot with both locals and visitors. I ordered the two-piece French toast with a side of bacon. The portion size was just right, the French toast was delicious, and the bacon was cooked exactly the way I like it--crispy around the edges without being overdone. I have to laugh because I started eating before I remembered to take pictures...haha! So my French toast photo is missing a few bites, but I guess that's a pretty good indication that I couldn't wait to dig in. Unfortunately, that response reinforces the concerns I had about this business. Rather than addressing the issues I raised--food quality, cleanliness, and child safety--they chose to dismiss a customer's honest feedback. Reviews exist to help businesses improve and to inform other customers about their experiences. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful; I was sharing what we genuinely experienced. A professional response would have acknowledged the concerns or explained how they planned to address them. Instead, the dismissive reply speaks volumes about how customer feedback is valued here. She offered to get me a small taste and although it was delicious, I've been a little under the weather so I decided I didn't want anything really heavy. Instead I ordered the 3 egg scramble with their smoked ham and added cheese-it was really good and a huge serving including their potatoes and English muffin. I'll probably be able to make two more meals from this serving! My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and asked which potatoes they would be able to make the most crispy as we both like our potatoes crispy.
