A very unique experience! Fun for our entire family, especially the two toddlers. Bringing toddlers to a restaurant can feel overwhelming but this is just the place for all the fun (and chaos). We noticed several families celebrating birthdays while we enjoyed dinner, the entire family breaks out in song bringing the birthday person a gigantic treat of some sort (even saw a mountain of cotton candy!) Food was good, typical diner food, nothing to brag about. But the atmosphere and experience was absolutely worth the visit! "Big Biff" was our server and he was incredible! 1st it's been a while visiting the diner. Food was ok stay away from the fired shrimp TINY & overcooked. Something to be desired No MEAT. Fish was ok breading didn't fall off of the filets itself. Oh, this is the most dope little spot if you have little ones.... this place is really cool However food wise just your typical fries burgers nothing really special on the food. I got a salad. It was OK nothing to rave about but who cares about the food? The kids had a blast. The whole ambience is pretty cool. They set us in an area with like a black light type of thing really took me back to the older days but also if you have a little flashlight or you can even use your Cell Phone flash and if you aim it at the table the kids get a kick out of that they have so much fun. There's also an arcade thing which we did after dinner. Kids enjoyed that so much and the milkshakes are pretty good. Management actually reached out to me after my Yelp review. They sent a very polished, very corporate message asking a few questions, so I replied with real answers. And then... nothing.. vapor. They ghosted the conversation they started! It felt less like customer service and more like I accidentally responded to an unplugged chat bot. I've been coming to Corvette since the Hillcrest days, back when the place had personality, it felt like they cared about their regulars. Menu prices are misleading as they now tack on a 5% hidden fee on the entire check! Even the game cards get the "inflation" fee tacked on.. which is wild. Now it feels like they're monetizing every possible interaction. Want a photo $$$$? Want a balloon animal$$$? Add in the shrinking hours and declining overall food quality, and it feels like they're coasting on nostalgia instead of earning it. I'm not rooting against them. I'd love to see the heart come back. But right now it's like watching an old friend who can't quite remember how to be themselves.. and takes your presence as a given. I may treat my kids to a birthday celebration there... but the days of dropping in mid week for a bite will be done at a smaller neighborhood joint. Came here for my friend's birthday and Rodney was our server and he was SUCH a blast! you Rodney! Food was good nothing crazy but there's a fun selection of uniquely named dishes! This place has something for everyone in your party or even for a date. Entertainment for all, bar for adults and before or after the arcade for the littles. As stated the service team is absolutely amazing! Everyone has great attitude and I think that's what plays a big part in the success of this place. Absolutely amazing service! We ordered shakes first my son got the S'more's shake and said it tasted just like the s'more's pop tart (my favorite pop tart) he loved it! My daughter got the Green Frog float, she didn't like the soda very much in the float (she was trying something new haha) but she said it was cool and really liked the ice cream, my step son got a regular vanilla milkshake for kids and absolutely destroyed it! For food I ordered the Chicken Polka Pasta and it was so good! The chicken was tender and juicy and the pasta had a sauce I wish I had the recipe for. My Girlfriend got the Grubbys Fish & Chips and tore that up as much as she can until she got full! The servings for everything are more than enough for anyone. My son order the B.L.A.S.T. Burger which has bacon, lettuce, guacamole, swiss, turkey, tomato & mayo on toasted sourdough and he too tore that up! My daughter and stepson got the chicken strips and fries and they both loved it and ate it all! Coming here adults will pay anywhere from 15-25 for a plate but please don't let that deter you from this place the service and the amount of food will take the edge off the price. The entertainment and service is what you're paying for. The great tasting food happens to be the biggest bonus ever!! The restaurant has a decent sized arcade and lots of seating. Our waitress Bonnie was really nice and my daughter loved getting her hair done with crazy sticks which was a fun perk. We got the BLAST and fish and chips. BLAST: a little low on the fillings for how much bread there is. Could have a little more flavor. The fries that came with it were really good. Fish and chips: three decent sized pieces of fish that were not too heavy on the batter. Tartar dipping sauce was really good, on the salty side which I like! Comes with fries and side salad (or side Caesar). Would consider coming back for special occasions. read more

If you get one thing here, make it the mozzarella sticks! The cheese pull was insane and probably the best ones we've had--not too oily and super crispy and cheesy. The burgers are BIG so I would recommend sharing, but the ones we had were pretty standard. Not amazing but hits the spot if you're craving a burger. The service and ambiance were quite fun. Someone came and took our photo, which we had to pay for, and I also got a balloon. It has been a long time...I mean, really long! And since I remember them from the past, which I miss...it's time to let go and embrace the future! Friendly greeting when we walked in, the hostess said it would be about five minutes, so we went to the arcade. Lots of games to keep everyone entertained. We were seated in the neon section with black lighting and neon colors on the wall. The only thing I didn't like was the open space between us and the table next to us. Our server was great! So sweet! Ordered a green river and my former students had milkshakes. We also ordered fried cheese and boneless wings to start...both very good! The girls both had burgers and I had the chicken fried steak. It's still as good as the first time I had it. Though the plate is much smaller than before...inflation! LOL! We didn't have room for dessert so that will have to wait until next time. The staff all performed a dance which was great to see. An insanely great experience for me as a first time goer! This place hits my exact niche with a restaurant full of heart and leans into its design personality. I can see why this was the family party spot, from a friend who suggested it as their childhood go-to spot. Prices are a little steep for the food but the portion sizes reflect that at being quite large. Fries were very good especially. The milkshakes were also nostalgic diner quality with presentation and taste. If your visiting during traveling, make sure you have a place for possible leftovers, or share a meal. The arcade was awesome as well though we didn't fully participate. I spent a couple bucks on the coin mystery prize machines and I appreciated that they keep to a low cost (50¢-1$). The arcade prize cashier was amazing and gave us a few games on the house (for fun no prizes). Overall great experience. Total Throwback Vibes... A Must for a Fun Family Outing This place is a true throwback. It gave us major Ed Debevic's and Hamburger Hamlet energy, in the best way. Super fun environment, especially for families. We visited during our last trip to San Diego to celebrate our daughter's fourth birthday, and clearly we weren't the only ones... this spot is made for parties and kid celebrations. We had a bit of a wait for our table, but it didn't feel long because there's a full arcade just steps away. The restaurant will text you when your table is ready, so we got to enjoy some arcade fun before (and after) the meal. The dining experience was a blast. Our servers were all in character, singing, dancing, and keeping the energy high, while still being super friendly and attentive. The food was meh but that doesn't seem to be the point. They brought out a giant cotton candy-sized birthday cake for our daughter, which made for some adorable photos... and a serious sugar crash later that night when bedtime rolled around. Finally checked out the Corvette Diner in Liberty Station after knowing about it forever but never actually going. Took the family recently, and I'm so glad we did--it was such a nice, cool vibe! We also got a side of chili fries--they were okay, not the absolute best, but still enjoyable and hit the spot. My husband went for Betty's Waffle Burger, and wow, it was really tasty. The waffle bun with the bacon and jalapeño spread came together surprisingly well--it wasn't a weird combo at all, just a great mix of flavors. The only thing is it can feel a tad sweet from the waffle, which might be a bit much for some, but overall, he loved it and I'd say it's worth trying. This place is crazy! Half of it is 50s diner and the other half is an arcade. Ok, really...half of the diner is lit by blacklights and has the posters to go with accordingly. Even the table glows in the dark! Anyway, the food is way better than diner fare are you can get anything from a bowl of chili to salmon alfredo. Which is exactly what my family did. Wife loved her pasta and the kids ate the chili like it was their last meal ever. So, that's a win. The milkshakes were good. We got the orange creamsicle and the Elvis. I went to Corvette Diner as a kid and loved it so I wanted to bring my kiddo. For some reason I remember staff having roller skates but I guess that's not a thing anymore. The music was LOUD. Really, really loud for a family environment. They have parking directly behind the building that's convenient. Note, they have a 3 hr limit. Staff was nice and our waiter really tried their best to make it fun. Food we tried: Scooby doo drink - too sweet Garbage plate - feeds 4 adults. The amount of French fries is crazy. Everything was okay tasting. Kid didn't like the food. Chili burger - really big, a bit dry but good. We didn't get the side we ordered until after we asked about it. Spent $10 on arcade games but was only able to play 3 games before it was gone. I didn't understand the two tiered credit system. The claw machine claws were very loose and didn't grab anything. I don't think I will be back as it just didn't hit that nostalgia for me and my kid didn't like the environment, the food or the games. It was also pretty pricey at $100. read more

After a long, hot day at the pumpkin patch, we decided to stop by Corvette Diner for some milkshakes . I hadn't been here since 2017, and it was my sister-in-law's first time plus my two little ones' first visit too! At first, we were planning to just order to go, but our amazing server MARIE S. welcomed us with such kindness and offered us a booth. Since my 4-year-old was absolutely in love with all the spooky Halloween decorations , we decided to stay and I'm so glad we did because we had a blast! My 4-year-old chose the Unicorn milkshake, and my 2-year-old got the Birthday milkshake. Yes, they were way too big for them, but they were so pretty that the kids didn't even want to eat them at first . They ended up sipping the little extra that came in a cup on the side, while I captured tons of photos and videos of their faces lighting up with joy. Honestly, some people might think it was a waste of money, but I completely disagree for me, it was worth every penny to see their happiness and make those memories . We pass by this diner on our way to liberty station public market all the time. Finally, we decided to walk in and give it a try. This inside is absolutely massive. They take theming to an entirely different level. Would try to get here early as there may be a wait. However, the service here is very friendly and prompt. Ordered a pasta dish and a meatloaf. We met my parents for a couple of days in San Diego. (They are from Costa Mesa we came in from Las Vegas) we are always trying to find something different and "car" related for my dad. When I suggested this and sent my mom the link she agreed or was great. I'll start by saying for us it was a one and done kind of experience but I'm glad we went, we definitely had a good time! My grandson is a year and a half old and he was mesmerized by the music and dancing servers and he enjoyed walking around the arcade. The live DJ was super fun. The food was ok, nobody was overly excited about their meals. I'm sorry, I waited too long to tell you what we ate. Except I will say the fried pickle spears were my favorite part of dinner. Service was not n good. The waitresses didn't seem to care much. Why would they when their tip is guaranteed. We got our birthday sundae after the check was paid for, and we were ready to go.
