Wife and I were on the way home from a friend's house in Golden. She got bitten by the fried cheese sticks and a dessert of some kind, bug. I've always believed Denny's has the best fried cheese sticks and their marinara sauce compliments them perfectly. This trip only proved to further that opinion. Sooo yummy. My wife ordered herself a brownie covered in ice cream with hot fudge on it. It was just what she was craving. Our waitress was funny and flirty. I think she found my wife attractive. I couldn't blame her, so do I. It was quite in the building, only a few other people and no obnoxious teens ruining it for everyone else. Parking was simple and close in. The parking lot was well lit and felt safe. The staff were all friendly and our food came out fast and was made perfectly. The bill was reasonable and fair. I have not returned to this Denny's since they remodeled. They did a good job of remodeling the restaurant but the service and food is still subpar. During the lunch rush, there was somebody operating a saw or some kind of impact tool in the ceiling in another part of the dining area. This was extremely annoying and very consequential, as I could not enjoy my lunch with the loud buzzing noise. My server, Arturo, never visited my table after serving my food or asked me if I wanted more to drink, more napkins or anything else. He mearly placed the receipt on the table and walked away, never to return. This is not how you get good tips. Until service and the food improves here, I will not be back. read more

Stopped at Denny's nest to our hotel prior to a long drive across the state. Had a very nice, polite, but fairly new water. Ordered "Classic Bennies". After waiter left, I noticed there was no Hollandaise -- only ham and a fried egg on a muffin. We didn't have time to ask to send it back, but I was surprised the kitchen would send out an order like that. At checkout, we asked the cashier to pass this along to the kitchen. She at first said they were out of hollandaise then maybe the cook was new. I said this is like ordering a peanut butter and jelly and only getting g the jelly. I love Dennys and was so sad when it looked like this place was closing down, was so thankful to see them reopen after remodeling. Today was our first time back, and everything was wrong. My order had substituted items I didn't ask for and wouldn't have chosen, my plate was missing sides, my daughters plate was missing sides and when they brought a plate to replace it was still not what she ordered. No refills done whatsoever, no check ins about the food, had to stop our waiter to point out how everything was missing and wrong, had to actually pull up pictures of the items on the menu online (because he wouldn't give me a menu again) to show him what we had already shown him we wanted. Manager was apologetic and took $10 off our meal. However I think it'll be a long while before I risk eating at this location and will trek up to wheat ridge for accuracy. read more

Okay, the food was good. I got chicken tenders and fries, they were honestly average, but dennys isn't exactly known for chicken tenders so that's kinda expected. My friends all got breakfast food and say it was really good. The service and employees were all really nice too so that's a plus. Now ambiance, it's a new building they just opened last month. So it's very clean and looks sharp inside and out another plus. However, it was insanely hot, I was pretty much sweating. The wait was also incredibly long, almost an hour, but I think that will improve over time. Overall a pleasant, clean, and friendly experience. read more

The portions are crazy small for the price, paid $40 for 2 takeout meals and they were extremely sad and small. Huge disappointment. Today they were slammed and no matter what she maintains an awesome attitude. Arturo also came out to support the situation. No matter what he always kept a great attitude. So..... total disclosure, we were hungry and it was very, very late on Christmas Eve Eve. We hadn't been to Denny's in a decade or two. I'm not sure much has changed except that this time it was very sparsely staffed and so close to the holiday, is understandable. Everything took a very long time. Our food wasn't anything special, but we were also happy to have it. Our waitress was friendly but I fear she was also pinch hitting for most all positions. She may have even been cooking. The food is ok, but the staff seems to lack good sense. I ordered a T-bone steak and eggs with a short stack. The steak was cooked pretty well. Tender, but needed a bit more seasoning. I wasn't blown away by the "new and improved" Denny's pancakes, but they were edible. Same for the eggs and hash browns. My server came with the bill. I gave her my credit card. A couple minutes later an old man, who I am assuming is the manager, walks back over to my table and places the receipt (not the credit card slip, the original receipt) and my credit card back on the table. He didn't say anything, just placed it on my table and walked away. I thought the card wasn't working or something, so I go up to the counter and I encounter two more clueless servers who have no idea what to do. The old man comes over and I explained to him that I never received the credit card slip to sign. He told me that I didn't receive a credit card slip because the transaction is under $20 and that they "have limits" ( I have no idea what that means). He asked if I wantes one. I said yes because I'd like to leave gratuity. He logs into the system and asks me for the receipt, which he'd already taken from me. I told him I thought he had it, but looked around in my purse anyway. Not finding it, I tell that I would rather tip in cash as opposed to wasting any more time looking for this receipt. I give him $20 and ask him to make change. He gives me the change as well as the original receipt that he had me looking for. I remark, "Oh, so you had the receipt? He looks at me like I'm speaking gibberish. I gesture to the paper and say, "The receipt that you asked me for. You had it." He responds, "Okay" with this rude and dismissive tone and walks away. I'm so confused. I have no idea what that exchange was about, nor do I know why he kept asking me for a receipt that he had in his hand, and then looked at me crazy after handing it back to me... handing me the EXACT thing that he'd just asked me me for! Paying a bill should not be that complicated, nor should managers be allowed to be that incompetent and rude. read more

I visited this location last night for some late-night fun to celebrate opening night with the cast and crew of Monstersongs at RRCC. We had a great time and our server, Danelle, did a great job handling our large party of about 15 people, making sure we each got timely refills and bringing out our food in a timely and efficient fashion (compliments to the kitchen staff for some great food, too!). She also seemed to do a good job accommodating my low vision, though it was hard to tell given the environment and circumstances. I would definitely come back here again! read more

Called the dennys, after 10 minutes on hold the automated system hung up on me. The women inside wouldn't help me at all. I even asked if I could just cancel it instead then. Nope.
